It was a beautiful sunny day, the kind of perfect weather of not too warm, but certainly not chilly, and Boysenberry Pie had blissfully spent the majority of the day prancing through bushes, chasing rabbits, and pulling up weeds. And plants that might not be weeds. There would be upset gardeners later.
Boysie had a sort of... unique approach to meeting people. Sneak attacks were a perfectly suitable technique, one she planned to put in place after catching sight of bouncy green and pale purple, curious owlish eyes following the other filly through the bushes before the timing was perfect in her head, matching with the theme song she was not-so-sneakily humming, before bursting forth from the bushes.
And promptly snagging her tail on a twig and falling face-first onto the path.
"HIYA-OW."

Lavender Lace hadn't gotten very far on a leisurely walk when she took note she was being followed. Tailed. Stalked.
The haughty little filly did her best not to show any notice of such things and continued with her nose in the air.
Once the humming started, Lace's strut didn't halt-- if anything she added a bit more flair to the walking style-- but the corners of her mouth turned upwards, just a bit.
But Boysie sprang, and then splatted, and Lace found all four of her little hooves slamming into the ground in a halt, staring at the other filly with bulging eyes in surprise.
Quiet as she looked on both sides of her before back to the filly, she cleared her throat and fluttered her lashes until she looked less like an owl herself and leaned on head down to the faceplanted phonie. "That seemed a bit ill planned."Luafien I am sooooo sorry this took so long ; w;

A 'bit ill planned' was ridiculous, Boysie had planned this meticulously. By which she meant she had spent all of three seconds considering her spy-greeting, which is actually a tremendous amount of restraint for her. Boysie was just a tad impulsive.
The unicorn finally managed to look up, little forelegs trapped under her body and rump still in the air. Her dark purple face was a rather darker purple-red shade from the impact, but it didn't seem to damper her mood at all, tail swishing slightly over her back in joy.
"You're right, this would have never happened if I actually had a spy outfit on." Boysie finally pushed herself up, head shaking to try and dislodge some of the leaves in there. As usual, it didn't really work. She spent far too much time in the foliage. "Note to self: buy spy outfit." Carneli FRICK. Sorry, I saw you had replied, but it was on a busy night for me and so I left myself a mental note to reply later. To which I then promptly forgot until now.
