It felt wonderful, the wind in his mane as his body tore across the plains in a speed not many would take unless they were in fact running for their very lives. This wasn't the case for Zevach, though, and although his younger years were now slowly slipping behind him he was still as strong, and resilient than ever. One would even stretch that perhaps he was much stronger than his days of youth from his relentless training.

Keeping his pace strong as well defined muscle tone ripped under his dark coat, he began to near where the grasslands touched the forest at the base of the mountains, where he and his beloved mate called home. It wasn't an impressive piece of land that many sought to aquire, deep within some brambles laid their home, and off to the west he'd build himself his own training ground. He'd head there for a week or so at a time; really build hiself and keep his body in top shape before returning to his down time to Zari.

If he didn't she'd come stomping in and could wreak the place with her anger.

As forest came rather close, his full on gallop had toned back to a trot, before he'd stopped all together. His chest rose and fell with each deep breath, his heart still pounding in his ears now that the sounds of this thundering hooves no longer deafened the world around him. Smirking wildly he snorted into the breeze, he'd kept his pace well that time, better than his previous record for speed and distance. "I'd like to see anyone top that. Hell, I could probably out race wind soquili." He mused aloud, chuckling. Although he had calmed considerably in his years, there was still that fire that refused to be extinguished.

...and right now, it could have been described as an inferno as the adrenalin continued to run in his veins.

Sorry if it's a tad lengthy, also sorry it's a tad late~!

Damien's morning had begun painstakingly early today. The wind was manipulating the canopy of trees above his resting grounds to and fro, which in turn created tiny peep-holes for the sun to look in and disturb him. It played patterns on his eyelids, which made him see spots when he finally gave in and blinked the deep evergreens open. 'Well, there goes that shelter!' It was evidently in his interests to find a shadier hollow or cave. For a moment, the young stallion's mind flicked through images of fellow Soquili he'd come across, nestled in silly things they called "forever homes." He snorted and rolled his eyes, maw twisting into a boyish grin. 'Obviously haven't seen the wonders of the world, that lot.'

His grandparents were included in "that lot," once upon a time, when he was but a young colt, and he was subject to their discretion. At least his grandfather had a deeply-imbedded passion for discovery and adventure: A wanderlust. Yes, Taigi did himself good, abandoning them all, including that foolish mare of a grandmother. As a matter of fact, Damien had absolutely no grudge held against his elder. Almost admired him, even.

'She was another one, that silly mare...' Loose strands of mint manehair falling over smiling brown cheeks... Pale green eyes to match... That smile... That mocking, ignorant, naive chortle...

'But they are the past.'

The gray stallion's stare turned cold as he began his ascent from his "home-no-more," no good-bye's whatsoever. His slow walk beneath the tunnel of trees sped to a trot as he neared the wide clearing, perched atop a cliff's edge, that he knew was at the end. Yes, this location was aesthetically ideal for him, and secluded to boot, as if he'd dreamed it up. His stride turned into a gallop immediately upon him breaching sunlight, and soon his back left hoof kicked off of the rocky edge with a distinctive 'clack!,' and he was airborne. He was free without a care in the world, suspended between life and death for a mere moment before the enormous mass of his charcoal wings spread like parachutes. They caught an upward draft instantly, sending him gliding away and then descending downwards along the mountain, soaring above the trees, giving him a literal bird's-eye-view of worldly going-ons. His destination was in sight: The stretch of plains due North-East.

His flight was, as usual, pleasant. Most winged creatures knew to keep away; He was perhaps the greatest threat in the air at these early hours, pale blue horns polished like marble. It simply wasn't in the nature of other Kalona and Skinwalkers to wake with the sun's rise.

Observing the plain, growing ever so nearer, he quickly spotted a much darker, murkier-green-blue shape progressing through the plain at a remarkable pace. 'Remarkable.' Damien snorted once more, 'wait 'til he meets me!' Let's face it, no mare could run that fast. And, before he knew it, Dai was hovering ever-so-close, giving him better ground to further assess the Soquili. It was an older stallion, who just then came to an almost sudden stop! Damien had just enough response time to dive, closing all but three hooves worth of space between him and the stallion, cockily pulling a smooth crescent-swing around him and landing facing the teal stranger. "Watch out, grandpa."

It all happened in but a split second, he hardly had time to think let alone his body switching to auto-drive - driven by the instinct he knew so well.

When the sight of the other winged stallion was dangerously close his own hooves pivoted and moved, nearly rising on his hind hooves. His eyes followed every move of the winged male, the way his wings quite expertly angled to allow his body to whirl around to the front of him. A thud and he was looking face to face to some kind of....mud-blooded concoction. Raising his brows as his stance always portrayed a wise skill, posture perfect if you would. He noted quickly the horns atop of his head, a clear sign on Kalona...however there was no other traces of the gene elsewhere. He had the wings of a wind, much like his beloved. Kalona were to be reconed with, he knew this first hand - they could be just as dangerous as Walker's...he'd have to keep his guard up. Although with the way he held his expression on his face...one that was eerily like his own, Zevach found himself interested in this fellow.

Well, until he happened to call him Grandpa.

Grandpa? Immediately he was seeing red, which was common feat for the ruby eyed stallion. Oh, this young lad didn't just call him grandpa did he? Father....yeah sure. Zevach knew he wasn't the young male setting out into the world for the first time, he'd taken a mate, sired children now well grown. This of course didn't make him a grandpa. His father was an ancient grandpa...but not him. Oh...not him. He'd pushed himself to breaking point too many times to be called some ancient old man...who wasn't even a grandpa yet himself! Luckily his kids were rather, how to put it, single. He knew his brazen child had been courting a stallion..but his sweet child and his almost too intelligent son were still living life solo in the romance department. You wouldn't find him complaining either, less head's he'd have to stomp.

"Age makes little difference...this 'grandpa' could still kick your a**." Zevach smirked, his lips curling in the same devilish fashion it had for years prior, a look very well used for anyone who knew him. It also didn't stop him from closing one of those hooves worth of space they had between them with a snort of his nose.

"I believe I can tell a lot of you just by looking at you, kid." He stated rather boldly, deep vocals chuckling in his own amusement by what he was about to say. "You think you're hot stuff, and I imagine with your body, those wings and horns it probably has some semblance of truth to it." His age was more youthful too, but stating that wasn't going to lessen his own blow of the title grandpa. "However, you're probably just as fresh under your ears. You look like you've never trained a day in your life." Well, truth be told no one really trained like Zevach trained, but he didn't have any breed perks to allow him success. He'd struggled and fought for every ounce of stamina and strength, move and tactics he'd gathered under his arsenal. Zevach wasn't one to lose.

"Did you come here for a fight, or you just here to say hello." Smirking, once more, he was hoping to see more of this stallion. Was his buttons the same, did he have a brawler in him? It seemed so far, from the miniscule time they had together....it was kind of like Zevach was seeing a brother he'd never had.

'Heh.' Damien smirked, acknowledging that he had stuck a nerve. "Spoken like a true elder," but he couldn't be too rude, oh no, "sir." His emerald eyes gleamed with smugness as he mockingly ducked his head down as his grandmother often taught him to do when he met other Soquili, as a sign of respect. 'Respect, my behind!' Dai mimicked the stallion in his head, dubbing him with a wheezing old-man voice, 'I can tell a lot of you by just looking at you..'

'What do you know?!' The young stallion didn't notice his breath getting heavier until he was shooting snot-rockets at the grass. "It is foolish to assume things upon meeting others. We all do it, all the time..." 'In, out, don't get too flustered..' "But to impose your judgment on someone before you gather any proof is idiotic!!" A single periwinkle hoof was impatiently treading the ground, and a small urge to let go of his inhibitions and lunge forward at the stallion started growing somewhere deep inside his chest.

That was, until the other stallion invited a fight. Damien's face instantly lifted to reflect Zevach's, and his stance changed accordingly. This was almost a game now, and Dai loved winning! He stepped another hoof, closing in so that they were practically sharing the same breathing space, aligning himself eye-to-eye with the "all-knowing" stranger, sizing him up. "I don't know if your old bones can take it, chap?!"

"No need for formalities here...you're in brawler's company." Zevach mused, his tone coy and bold as he wasn't one for bowing, politeness and the kind. It was rare his moments of gentlemanly behaviour as he was the type to probably piss someone off before he made friends....well, if he had friends outside of his family unit. The ones he'd made in his childhood he hadn't seen in years as they probably had families of their own and lived far off. Well, he had Zari but she didn't really count as the mate and mother of his children. Friends they were, but really they were a mated unison of sass, teasing and of course bickering with very slight undertones of love and nuturing.

Not many could see it past the child like behavior, but it was there.

"It might be for someone's first trip around the meadow...but when you get to this eldering status.." He nearly sneered it out, but it was spoken to simply prove a point. He might have been old now...but oh, he was anything but. A year was simply a number, his body was that of this young stallions and he was going to keep it that way as long as he could with dedication to training and of course...brawling whenever he could. "...you can pick up traits like the one I just described. If you're more than that, you can prove it to me."

Oh, this was going to be fun.

Stomping his hoof in the ground to create a little dust, he snorted loudly as his eyes narrowed. The proximity got his blood boiling in nothing short of excited anticipation - adrenalin flowing in at another brilliantly fun encounter of hoof to hoof, able to show his skills that came with years of self taught training and skills when it came to battle. He always found himself fortunate for a variety of partners, so he could learn species specific manuvers and weaknesses. It wouldn't be his first time going up against someone who had bone appendages, while he had horns - who Zevach had fought had spikes, and plenty of them.

"Oh don't you worry about my bones..." He smirked, another stomp, another invitation to begin. "Ladies first..."

Nuclearity
Don't worry about it! XD I seem to have taken some time as well hahaha! Feel free to hit him, or we can do rolling system. I don't mind he takes some damage - I more or less just roll with it and make the attacks vague for you to decide if it hits or misses - as long as he doesn't lose an eye or something LOL ;D
