Junjie was in his tent, helping Keona with her hair, when the alarm bells starting to ring in his hears courtesy of Arjan who was prowling around the edge of camp, seeming to have taken another watch. If there was one thing he was determined to do it was keep everyone safe even if it meant doing things his own way. He had to respect Arjan for that. The alarm was one that made Junjie's eyes go quite wide, it would appear as though Gaili were on the way. Their latest camp it seemed was close to some of their territory and the dragons didn't seem to pleased having so many people so close by. Instantly Junjie was in his feet, calling for Abellio. The feathery Alihora was given his instructions, those being to look after Keona, to keep her safe, and if the need arose he was to flee with her to safety.
"Go to Shayla, I am sure she could use your help too." She had a son after all so it might be best for Abellio to be near to where both of the little ones were located, "Be careful!" He called before he grabbed up his dragon headed staff and hurried out of his tent, over to where Arjan was waiting for him. It seemed that he had gotten the rest of their group up in arms as well as everyone was armed and ready to go. A good sign, it meant that they were all ready he thought to himself.
The orders were given out by the leader of their group, Junjie and Arjan being given the left flank of their camp. Those orders set the two of them hurried off, Junjie giving Abellio and Keona one last glance before he went. He felt that she would be safe, Abellio was smart after all, as well as protective. He'd know what to do if the worst happened.
As he and Arjan headed toward their determined spot the Kiandri took to the air, flying up high to get a look what was coming before he said, "There are two in this direction, I think we will be able to deal with them easily enough. After that will we go help the others?"
A good question, they weren't told want to do when they cleared their section after all, "Maybe, but let's see about clearing these two first." He said, lifting his staff up, and set to gathering power to it. He would see about dealing with this pair of them first, then they would worry about the others. He couldn't help but wonder though how many more dragons might be out there. If they stumbled across their territory it could be many. He shook his head to clear it, focusing what he was doing, and the moment the two Gaili came into view he sent a large arc of magical energy, a mix of green and gold, toward the dragons and Arjan added his own power to it as well, leaving one of the two dragons to get hit by a tri-fecta of magical energy.
It dropped instantly, leaving behind nothing but an orb while the second one took to the sky, circling above to prepare for its first strike. Junjie looked up toward it, taking in the way it was circling around them like a buzzard, before calling to Arjan to come down to him. They would prepare their next strike to be one that would throw the dragon off kilter, to make it easier for them to defeat now that it was alone.
"I will prepare a spell to blind it, you aim for next attack for the webbing between one of its wings." Junjie said as he gathered the golden Aeduan magic to him once more, the sort that his Orderite side allowed him to wield and prepare to attack once more.

As the dragon circled around overhead, no doubt plotting dastardly things to do to Junjie and his Khehora companion, Arjan took to the sky, "I am not going to let it rain death on you." He told his bonded before he went flying up toward the creature. He knew he wasn't as strong as he could be, not as strong as a feral Khehora for certain, but it wouldn't stop him. There were other ways for him to be strong after all according to Toki, ways that didn't rely as heavily on magic, and Arjan knew full well that meant being both smart and brutal. Junjie gave him a task and he would see to it that it was done right and done well.
Once he was close enough to the Gaili he gave a great roar, getting its attention, before he released the biggest blast of electrical energy he could. It hit the dragon's wing, causing it to be momentarily paralyzed, before he lunged forward. Using tooth and claw he torn into that already weakened wing, ripping up the webbing quite well before flying higher and out of the dragon's reach while it started to fall.
Down below Junjie could only stand and stare, eyes wide with awe, before he sent a blast of energy toward the falling Gaili, "Close your eyes, Arjan." He warned his Khehora through their bond, not wanting to accidentally blind his companion in the process of blinding the Gaili. With the second dragon both wounded and blinded Junjie hurried off to the side, not wanting to be near to where the Gaili was going to crash land, certain that if he wasn't careful that he was going to get crushed by the creature or caught up in its flailing about.
He was able to get out of the way, though just barely, before he whirled around and set to gathering more power to himself. As he did that Arjan came down to land beside him, gathering power as well, so that the two of them would be prepared to attack again in a hurry. There was no holding back when it came to dealing with a dangerous enemy, especially one that was both dangerous and vulnerable.

Just as Junjie and Arjan were about to attack again the Gaili Dragon let out a loud, deafening roar, before a blast of powerful earthen magic caused the sand around the dragon to twist into spikes and shoot out in all directions. It was a shockingly strong attack but Junjie was quick to move into action, dragging up a shield to defend himself and his Khehora from the attack. It was a difficult thing to do, one that he just barely managed. Even though he was able to deflect the attack the sheer magical force caused him to stumble back.
Arjan was quick to step forward, catching him by the shirt, and held him up even as the ground seemed to rumble around them for a moment more. Once the attack ceased Junjie's shield fell and Arjan released him, letting him fall into the sand on his backside, "Best get back up, we still need to beat that thing." Arjan told Junjie before letting out a blast of energy at the Gaili.
Junjie gave a bit of a grumble, dragging himself out of the sand, and set to brushing off what he could of it before he set to casting another spell, "You know dropping people in the sand isn't the best way to make friends." He told his bonded.
"I am not here to make friends, I am here to kill dragons and protect our camp." He said simply, not even looking at Junjie but knew the moment that his bonded was ready with his next spell. The moment Junjie released the blast of green and gold energy he once more added his own power to it, allowing it to race forward to strike the dragons, knocking it off it's feet. It set to crumbling away as he flew through the air, and the only thing left to land on the ground was its orb. Another victory which seemed to please Arjan, "Let's grab the orbs then we will be off."
Junjie nodded his head before hurrying forward to grab the pair of orbs up, stuffing them in his bag, before he and Arjan started toward where more of their friends were located. They wanted to keep an eye on them, to make sure they were alright, and to assist if needed. The quicker they got rid of the dragons the less likely the Gaili would be to threaten the weaker members of their group who were still back at camp.
