Except, he could wait, because he was having some decently sizable troubles in figuring out how he was supposed to use his super attacks.
He knew the words, but every time he tried to use them, something seemed to go wrong. It either didn't work, or it went in the wrong direction, or he spattered glue all over himself. He had wanted to talk to Julienne or Juniper or Lenka, but considering how bad he was at using his attack? He was sure any of the girls would have been furious if he'd gotten glue in their hair.
Which, he would have, most certainly.
So, tonight he was out, ignoring the energy signatures (which was incredibly easy considering how little he paid attention to them anyway), running between trees, leaping around—and, of course, trying to use his attack.
By himself, he didn't have to worry. He kept repeating the words to his attack aiming, but not casting.
Which would have been fine, in practice—had he not neglected to consider that other people might be in the park. As he rounded a tree, he was practicing his attack—and then almost ran right into a living, breathing shape. He was midway through casting and the shock of actually seeing someone right there was exactly the sort of focus he needed to successfully summon his magic.
Of course, the one time he didn't want to use Goretti Glue Pool, he casted it flawlessly.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Goretti Glue Pool
A puddle of glue roughly two feet wide sprouts from beneath the target's feet and remains for twenty five seconds. Up to two people can be targeted at once now; the target(s) will find it exceptionally difficult to ply their feet from the ground, and should they manage to free themselves from the glue puddle (as it can be done, more often than not by higher level characters) each following step will also be hindered by the clinging glue. After thirty seconds, the glue turns to dust and loses all of its sticky properties. This attack can be used once per battle.
