On the edge of town is a large plot of land with a shrine nearest to the border of the town. The shrine is on the edge of a large basin filled with trees with a very large tree in the center of a clearing. The trees bloom in deep shades of blue-purple with white spots that glow from microbes in them. The tree in the center blooms in opposite colors from the rest. All the trees bloom at night, and when you sit in the clearing on a clear night, even with the tree's faint glow, the night sky looks like you could reach out and grab the stars and moon with your bare hands. There is a legend that the trees are from space and a meteorite brought the seeds of the first one millions or even billions of years ago. The legend arose from the giant stone the central tree grows out of which is covered in strange symbols that have never been able to be deciphered.
The shrine looks like a normal shrine with a bell and altar for praying to the spirits/gods of the area. Most tourists come to see the trees and some locals make daily visits to the shrine to pray.
