EXWIRE QUALIFICATION EXAM 1 – Abiel GottschalkStanding in the middle of the construction zone is what appears to be a man in armor, when speaking the voice that comes from the armor is not of one voice but many. There is a combination of both male and female voices echoing through each word. Those whom have studied demonology before or are higher class exorcist or even demons know of Living Armor also known as Moryo Demon or in lesser terms a suit of armor possessed by many vengeful spirits. These demons are huge animated pieces of armor which appear to be shrouded by a large ghostly amount of blue qi, but in reality it’s the aura of souls who have died holding grudges or regrets, manifested into a single physical entity of sorrow and rage. Moryo demons have the ability to draw in other vengeful spirits in order to make themselves stronger, which is why they typically can be found near ruins of ancient civilizations in order to either protect a treasure of some sort or to be used as an assassin. Once manifested, they will not stop, even if the armor binding them is destroyed. The spirits can rebuild the armor with their Qi they have stolen from others around or utilize their own Qi.
Living Armor have a few physical abilities in which makes them dangerous midlevel demons. First, the sword in the hand of these demons are often modeled after famous swords of legend, the one standing before you is modeled after the sword Excalibur. The blade which these demons use have the ability to increase the gravity of anything the blade touches temporarily. Each time the blade touches something it makes the user feel as though an additional 20kg (44lbs) has been added on to their body or object they are holding. The weight increase is temporary [5 Post limit each time struck] but it isn’t short lived, due to the fact most die after the first two minutes after being struck once with the sword.
The Shield in which the Living Armor possess allows them to protect themselves from Holy Spells caused by Fatal Verse as well as those caused by Demonic Magic; although the spell must make contact with the shield in order for it to protect the armor or the spirits possessing the armor.
Vengeful spirits and the aura of a spirit has the ability to take Qi from whatever it touches, if one is touched by a vengeful spirit or even the aura they will not only lose 500 Qi but they will also suffer minor or major internal damage depending on what part of their body was struck.
Vengeful Spirits are under the authority of the Demon King of Wind. Typically they are extremely weak against things such as Fatal Verses due to their lack of a physical body, but once they come together and possess an object they are far stronger than typical vengeful spirits. Demon Weapons and weapons that are enchanted by Fatal Verses are typically extremely useful against these demons. Another thing to note is that because vengeful spirits are made up of different spirits its possible for them to utilize not only wind based demonic arts but other elements as well.
Rune In Effect: Around the construction zone, there are carvings in the metal of a rune, that won’t allow those whom enter the area to escape alive, trying to leave the area without the permission of the creator of the rune will result in death. The only way to leave the construction zone is either to defeat the Living Armor, or to die, or the creator of the rune to release the effects but this will result in their death.

⭐⭐ ▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌▌
• Joushi Motisi stayed outside of the construction site, merely walking casually around the area, a street between the Dragoon and the fence line. Green eyes were scanning the perimeter and taking in what and of the skeletal structure reached up and spawned in various points in the site's broken and raked soil, splotched with the pimples of cement rooted deep and holding the metal high and strong. As Joushi roamed the perimeter green eyes caught the glowing etchings of runes along steel, marking what Joushi assumed to be the barrier that would contain the mid-level Wind affinity Moryo Demon. A prickling in the back of Joushi's mind, however, stated the runes seemed wrong - the order was different, there was something threatening about the whole area. Or could that be the Moryo resting just behind a single chainlink fence, a few piles of cinderblocks, lots of neatly lined up steel beams, and bags of dry cement?
"What do you sense? Kit." Jou whispered into the top of the thick woolen scarf drapped around shoulders and neck, the soft, warm material rippling before a small voice mumbled back in a quiet voice.
"Danger." It whispered. The material wrapped itself tighter around the Beast Charmer's shoulders and neck with a subtle shift. "The fence." Jou nodded, lifting a hand to settle the scarf with a calming, assured stroke to the white wool.
"I agree. It does not feel like a regular barrier. But I cannot read most of these runes." The Dragoon admitted, green eyes leaving the metal to instead move on to studying the placement of lights around the fence line. Jou was looking for a specific entry point; dark and close to cover, preferbly near some of the skeletal structure for the Dragoon to climb up and gain a vantage point. The Beast Charmer was unsure if the Moryo had already sensed the pink-haired teen and the Byakko, or would as soon as the pair moved to cross the perimeter. The construction site was fenced by both chainlink and metal sheet, preventing any passersby being tempted by the site of valuable building materials being left, out in the open and apparently unguarded. By looking up and peering through and over the fence green eyes could see the long necks of cranes stretching high and strong into the black sky, the lights of surrounding buildings blocking out any sign of stars. A full moon, however, illuminated the area, highlighting metal in splits of silver sheen while bathing the duller surfaces and non artificially illuminated areas in a blue sheer curtain. It would be easy to climb up those cranes, the pattern of reinforcing that lined up their necks allowing an acceptable system of a ladder. However the long case Joushi bore would get in the way when weaving between the gaps, so the Dragoon would have to stay on the outside of the cranes as the slender teen made the ascent. Depending on the location of the closest crane and the position of the Moryo in relation to anything in between the two Jou may not have to climb high at all, or may have to be require to get near the top in order to get a clean shot. And that was only if the Moryo did not notice the Dragoon and Byakko. If the Moryo's shield ended up absorbing all of the bannishing bullets than Jou may be forced into less physical methods, falling back onto the less utilised skill of a Fatal Verse. Jou had only been studied the basic verses these past two months, and as such was not as experienced in their utilisation as other Exorcists in training, such as Ignazio Bathomeloi himself, who was an Aria. Moryo was a Wind Demon, of that Jou was fully aware of, due to past experiences, and thus counted Lady Luck on the side of the pink-haired teenager as one of the very first verses Jou had studied was under the kin of Astaroth, the King of Rot, and thus held advantage over the kin of Anyanka. A brief thought crossed over the Beast Charmer's mind, wondering how unnatural it may feel to actually summon up the energies assiciated with Rot. It was something Joushi would have to face at some point, be it now or later would be up to how well the Dragoon could pull off the first plan.
With a small huff Jou came to a dark section of the fence, a potential entry point for the Dragoon to climb up and over to enter the area. Suddenly, while Jou mused, green eyes sharp while regarding the fence, the pink-haired teenager came upon the realisation there was complete silence surrounding the Beast Charmer and Byakko, meaning no others have yet to come across the Moryo, or at least have yet to inact their own plot. The Dragoon may need to exorcise the Demon in order to gain the bell, which would make the most sense. Simply going in, grabbing the desired object, and then leaving without going strong against an opponent would not, Jou assumed, to be the Exorcist way of handling things. It was the preffered method the Dragoon would have enacted, and thus one of the least likely methods the overseers of this test would allow. An Exorcist wasn't a thief, after all. Turning a back to the construction site Joushi headed down a dark alley, delving deep into the depths of the shadows, steps calm and steady, a hand reaching back to rest lazily on the long length of the black case strapped vertically to the Dragoon's back. Far enough in that the shadows wholly consumed the slender frame of the pink-haired teenager, Jou knelt down and gently placed the case down, opening the rectangle bag attatched to the longer one by the smaller's tied straps. There Jou pulled out a small velvet box, holding the required bullets that were vital to the Dragoon's plans. The bannishing bullets were kept seperate from all others, blessed but restricted to only ten in number. Jou didn't plan on requiring all of them, but the slender teen recognised the fact that the plan may indeed change and thus all were to be kept close by and on the Beast Charmer's person. The black box was stored in a vest pocket, the lip of the fabric's opening buttoned down so the box would not easily let itself loose.
Joushi delved nimble hands back into the bag once more, retrieving an article of dark clothing to place on top of the bag before Jou stood up. As hands moved to undo the red wine dress pants the white scarf of thick wool slipped down from around the Beast Charmer's shoulders, morphing as it fell to its natural state of a white fox, purple markings and a red rope drapped loosly around a long neck, tied with a bow and purple tassels of fabric at the ends, drifting and swaying silently. The fox sat patiently, black eyes trained on the entrance of the alley facing the construction site. Joushi removed the dress pants, folding them to place next to the dug up pile of fabric that was then picked up, revealing black pants there were quickly slipped on, over the black dress shoes of the True Cross Academy school uniform. The black pants were tighter than the school equivalent, preventing anything loose from being snagged, for example, on the rough edges on top of a chain link fence. Next to be pulled out of the black bag were a pair of thin shoes, once again black, that were swapped onto the Dragoon's feet. Their soles had far better grip and lacked the nagging of shoe laces and squeking leather. They would greatly help Jou in the case of climbing up the cranes and fences. Crouching down, the Dragoon piled the discarded clothes before pulling out several straps. One went around Jou's waist, lined with strapped in grenades of various uses and effects, each one marked with a different spot of colour and pinned to the belt by two straps. One was solid elastic, wrapped tight around the middle of each grande to stop them from flapping about while a second, removable strap was bottoned through their latch, preventing the pin from being pulled while still held to the belt. It was held by a single botton clasp, silent to open if manipulated with a steady and hard hand. There were only four out of the total seventeen Jou had on hand when it came to grenades. The rest were kept secure in the small black bag attatched to the back of the belt, long and narrow, curving along with the pink-haired teenager's sharp hip. Two other stachels were attatched to the front of the belt, empty for now.
Once the belt had been secured tight Jou's hands moved to unbutton the red vest. This revealed the tan leather of a side holster for the Italian made Mateba semi-automatic revolver. Pulling out the gun Jou checked the chamber to ensure it was fully loaded with magnum ammo before clicking it shut, checking the safety was on, and holstering it once more. Crouched down the Beast Charmer finally opened the long black case, the red flaps of the new open vest hanging loose and down by the pull of gravity. Out from the depths of the long bag a sniper rifle, a Beretta M501, was slid out with a silent and smooth motion. The scope that the Dragoon had used earlier up in the viewing floor of a building in the downtown district was reattatched to the length of the gun. Joushi held it up, as if to fire, to ensure it was on straight before opening the five round box magazine and removing the bullets stored inside. Joushi placed them on the bag before pulling out the black box from a vest pocket, nimble fingers retrieving three of the appropriate bullets to slot them into the magazine before loading the gun once more, this time with five bannishing bullets instead of the regular 7.62mm NATO ammo that now lay loose on the bag. Ensuring the safety was on with a quick check Joushi pulled over a strap from the earlier pile, attatching one of the longer ones onto two points along the length of the sniper rifle. This strap would allow Jou to sling the long gun over one shoulder and under another, forming a slash diagnally across the Dragoon's narrow chest. Picking up the discarded ammo, Jou placed it in a box of ammo procured from a side pocket of the long bag. That box was then placed in the left empty pocket of the belt strapped around Jou's hips, the opening buttoned tightly shut with a pair of pull clasps.
Tucking the clothes into the long bag, Jou pulled over the rectangular black bag along with the third and final strap. Attatching the strap to the sides of the bag, the strap was then disconnected in the middle by a plastic clip, allowing the Dragoon, once zipped shut, to sling it over one shoulder, pulling it tight so as to minimise, and use the attatched strap to also secure the bag horizontally across Jou's chest. Straps tight the slender teenager picked up the sniper rifle and slung it carefully over one shoulder and under another, the rifle resting snugly against the black bag and in the gap between grenades and the back pack on the belt. Ready, the pink-haired teenager turned green eyes to gaze at the fox.
⭐⭐⭐
"Ready?" Jou asked. The fox stood and turned to lead the way out of the alley, heading back to the construction site. Joushi picked up the leftover bag and followed, checking the corners for any passersby before walking out, crossing the street under the cover of darkness to reach the dark patch of fence. With one hand, and a foot planted against the metal sheeting, Joushi reached up to grip the chain link fence quietly before giving a small push of muscles to haul the slender frame up enough for green eyes to peer over the solid fence and through the chain. The Moryo could be seen in the center of the construction site still, the blue glow it emitted rebounding off of the surrounding metal and dirt floor. The area Joushi was entering from would be dark, only illuminated from the full moon, but overshadowed by the skeleton of metal and the hollow neck of a nearby crane. Settling back down on the ground, Joushi nodded at the Byakko, the demon hunching down and leaping over at the sign. The Beast Charmer followed, climbing the chain fence as quietly as possible, motions slow and careful, practiced to the point where silence was almost always guarenteed from years of training. At the top of the fence the Dragoon kept the slender body low, not wanting to stand out any more than necessary before falling quietly down onto the ground. There the pink-haired teenager released the long black bag, leaving it on the ground as it was no longer required. Crouched, green eyes keeping the direction of the source of the blue light in the periphere of the teenager's vision, Joushi approached the nearest crane with silent footsteps, unsure if the Moryo had sensed the Dragoon yet or not, to climb up its short body and the operator cabin before begining the climb up the neck, limbs stretching to grip the skeletal bracing and haul the slender body up the outside of the structure. It only took a few rungs before Joushi found a good perch, nimble fingers reaching up to pull down the Sniper Rifle, over one shoulder, shrugging off the strap to aim the gun through the bracing, arms already snug over the metal rail to hold Joushi's upper body steady. Down below the Byakko waited quietly, black eyes on the Myoro's direction, body hunched low and ready to move.
The Dragoon closed one eye and peered down the scope of the rifle, breathing as steady and as calm as ever, emotions completely controlled and reigned in, leaving only the seasoned and logical mind of the Beast Charmer. With a steady breath and still hands, the high textured grip of the soles of thr pink-haired teenager's shoes holding strong on the slick metal, Joushi aimed the rifle, cross hairs touching on the body of the armored mid level Demon, and pulled the trigger, supressor on the end of the nuzzle muffling the shot to a crack pop.

EXWIRE QUALIFICATION EXAM 1 – Abiel GottschalkDuring Joushi’s thinking process the large suit of living armor didn’t move, the flares of ghostly energy was like a candle flame over its body, swaying in the wind. Still the armor didn’t move a single muscle until the fence was touched. The slightly clanks and scratching of metal came from the creature’s body as it pulled it’s blade out of the ground and its massive shield as well. Compared to a normal human the living armor was about the size of the crane Joushi was using the climb to the higher structure. The second Joushi’s feet touched the ground again, the runes in the area glowed in succession at a rapid pace before a massive purple aura filled the area. Only to those on the inside of the barrier could see the range of it. Outside the barrier it looked completely the same as it would without the barrier being activated. The living armor turned its head towards the fox demon and released a massive yell of rage. ”Now choose. Stand against me, or speak your wish. Offer your beloved in forfeit, and I shall see your will done.” the armor spoke in multiple vocal tones, the top voice was a female and the undertone was that of a male. The armor sprinted towards the Kitsune holding its giant shield in front of it appearing to ram into the fox demon. But behind the shield its blade was drawn with a pulled back arm. With a single twist in its massive body, the shield was moved slightly and the giant lunged, the blade forward. The blue ominous light was brighter than it was before, offering light to the shadows that were hiding from the giant in mere fear of its existence. The fighting style it had employed was of an old art lost in time from the days of King Author.
The blue aura of spirits faintly possessed around the edges of the long blade and soon were released towards the fox demon as the demon pushed forward. The Moryo wasn’t focused on the Kitsune, it was more so focused on Joushi whom had started his accent to higher ground. The blade was meant to stab into the crane and increase the gravity and force Joushi to fall due to the force pushing the crane. Although if the fox demon didn’t dodge the spirits or the blade it could be seriously injured or even killed, the Moryo was a wild beast in some ways, but was also a skilled fighter.

• Green eyes had flickered up to the sky, catching the pulse of purple light that had eminated as soon as the Dragoon had stepped inside the perimeter proper. However the time to simply stop and assess the situation had passed. Joushi needed to keep moving, to plan without pausing and thus allowing an enemy to get the upper ground on the Dragoon. Slender hands were hauling Joushi's weighed down frame up the metal struts lined up the crane's neck when the Moryo began moving, booming its voice across the moonlit construction site, anger resonating from its empty shell, held together by the guilt and regret-chained souls, their cries mingling. The fox flinched back, black eyes narrowing, lips curlping up into a snarl at the rage directed its way. With fangs bared the Byakko hissed, fur ruffling to stand on end as its claws stretched out from the soft silk fur of its paws. Joushi took the time the mid-level demon spent in adressing Kit to reach another rung higher, gaining a vantage point aiming down at Moryo. Elbows locked over the metal beam, hands pulling the sniper rifle down over one shoulder with a quick and solid pull, the strap sliding against the crisp white material of the dress shirt with a small, slipping hiss, the pink-haired Dragoon quickly aimed the sights down at the Moryo as it now fully turned its huge weight to face the brace and cabin of the crane, the fox tucked just behind one of its mobile tracks. Joushi doubted the cabin would withstand the force of impact the Moryo could deliver, which meant Joushi would be sent flying from this precarious nest the pink-haired teenager had made.
"Kit." Joushi called, voice calm, green eyes concentrating on the charging suit of armor. The fox's tail swished but otherwise remained still, claws digging into the pounded earth and muscles tensing in preperation for its master's order. "On me..." The Beast Charmer spoke slowly, muscles tensing to get ready for the jump. Green eyes narrowed, the Moryo getting close, but its shield still raised. Joushi needed the blue demon to lower that armor, the crosshairs of the sniper rifle moving with the rage-filled armor's speed - until that final moment, when the shield lowered and moved, making way for the sword to pushforward. "Move!" Joushi called, the sound of a crack shot still ringing in the air, the bannishing bullet fired a half of a second before the Dragoon pushed off of the crane's neck to the Moryo's left. The fox leapt as well, body morphing and growing, wings splitting from its mass and a beaked head spawning out the front. Front paws turned into talons and the wings beat down, flying high and above the crash of spirit and steel as the Moryo landed its impact into the base of the crane. With both hands Joushi latched onto the Griffon's neck, the mass of its body catching the Beast Charmer's own. The sniper rifle was still strapped to Joushi, forcing the Dragoon to wrap an arm around the slender girth to reach the belt wrapped securely around sharp hips. Fingers found two grenades, but latched onto the second, unhooking it before lifting to Joushi's face, teeth finding the metal pin. In one smooth motion the pin was pulled and the grenade thrown down, falling to smash and explode in a burst of holy water right in front of the Moryo, on the side of the crane's cabin where the blade had pierced.
As quickly as the Byakko had ascended, the Demon familiar had changed course, drifting further to the left and gliding down, landing nearly twenty meters from the Moryo on a pile of bags of cement, its front talons and back lion paws cutting small grooves in the bags, feet dancing lightly to turn and face, head on, the Moryo. As soon as Kit had landed Jou had pulled up the rifle once more, aiming the gun at Moryo once again.
"The bell, kin." Joushi called, voice and stature still as calm and strong as the stone. "I have no time for games and am well aware of your strengths, soldier. If I must exorcise you, I will." The Dragoon promised, pink hair glittering in the full moon, the pale tan of skin illuminated with an ethereal glow. Pink strands fell to obscure one green eye whole, however the other remained trained and unblinking on the hulking suit of armor. "Vent your griefs now, spirits. I will not relent." Both hands on the sniper rifle, one slid back, gripping the bolt action and cocking the chamber, a spent round being thrown out in the action as a new bannishing bullet was loaded into the chamber before the hand returned to its position, all in one, smooth, practiced action. The butt of the gun was pressed firmly against one shoulder, the cheek rest comfortable against the Beast Charmer's face. "A shame," Jou whispered, pale pink lips barely moving as concentration remained on the Moryo and its actions. "That you fall to kin. I would prefer to die by the hand of an unrelated."

EXWIRE QUALIFICATION EXAM 1 – Abiel GottschalkAs soon as the Living Armor’s blade scratched the surface of the crane, the large machine became unbalanced before crumbling under the very Earth it was standing on, luckily for the young Dragoon, he managed to avoid the possible collision that may have caused an untrained exorcist or even a young demon whom didn’t know the skills of a Moryo demon; the thing was figuring out what kind of Moryo they were dealing with. The giant made of Armor suddenly was forced back as the banishing bullet connected to one of the lingering spirits and struck the side of the helm. The beast flew a few meters before sliding to a stop. As the demon came to a stop the falling of the holy water grenade reached the sight of the demon. Quickly raising its shield the water splashed along the armor halting its effects. The demon pushed itself back slightly and forced it shield away from it pushing away the water. The massive amounts of vengeful sprits began to howl and scream in anger before the demon began to speak once more. ”You have chosen to fight, so I shall claim my prize. I shall claim the one most precious to you.” The voices said in unison before releasing a massive yell in a blinding mad rage. The demon’s head corrected its self, leaving the bullet in betted in the helmet. The blue aura seemed to rapidly swirl as a glyph appeared under the demon’s body before a second glyph and then a third glyph, a total of six glyphs appeared around the location of Joushi and the newly transformed Kit. The giant armor spun the sword around before a magic code formatted itself around the blade in an orange and yellow color.
Most Aria were able to pick up on spells, especially those whom worked solely on fatal verses and figuring out which verses worked better on each type of demon, the fact that the Moryo demon was made with not just the souls of humans it held the souls of demons making it very difficult to destroy with a fatal verse, being able to identify and properly read demonic codes of demon skills was a useful skill and not all Arai are adapt at doing such. Those whom spent a lot of time around demons have been the most adapt at this method of Qi reading. The demon’s stance widen before it struck the blade into the center of the glyph underneath it causing the original blue-white glyph to catch a mighty blaze. As the sword was stabbed deeper into the ground the other glyphs began to glow in the same burning pattern as the one under the Moryo. As the demon watched Joushi and Kit it pulled the blade from the ground completely. This action created a chain reaction with the ground and the Qi that was gathered, creating massive geysers of liquid fire causing massive firery explosions and torrents to form. In the order they were summoned around Joushi and Kit. The Moryo had strategically placed it’s Qi around the flying Kitsune whom was now a Griffon in order to cut off its escape routes once the flames began to erupt around the demon and its master.
As the sword was drawn back the Moryo took its stance again with the shield in front of its body and the blade behind it rushing the two after each explosion in attempt to catch them off guard within the flames which would act as a prison of sorts. The rough pounding footsteps that thrashed into the ground as the armor crashed into the ground was the only sign of the Moryo approaching, but due to the flames and the eruptions occurring, there would be no way for Joushi or Kit to pick on the massive demon’s footsteps with the amount of things going on around them. The demon took a leap through the falling flames and held it’s blade at the ready to come down from above with a heavy swing of the blade almost as if it was about to chop wood; this would make Joushi and Kit the wood. ”I shall now claim my prize…Kit” the demonic voices said as it made its slash after it’s body was revealed.

• A single green eye stared down the black scope attached to the top of the sniper rifle's barrel. The crosshairs stayed pinned on the mid-level demon's chest, fingers quickly sliding up from under the barrel to widened the scope of its view so the Moyro was mostly within the sights and in focus. Another eye stared down at the giant glowing armor, watching as the crane fell, but harder and with greater velocity than Joushi knew to be natural. Whatever trait blessed upon the blade seemed to weaken the structure considerably, dragging it down and deep into the already compacted earth like it had been squashed, not simply fallen of its own natural accord by a damaged base. The neck of the crane itself seemed to buckle at odd ends and angles, as though the support struts were simply not enough to hold it up. Could the Moryo's sword alter the weight of what it damages? Jou had no intention of getting in the blade's path of damage, but it was a factor the pink-haired Dragoon would have to consider for future aspects of the battle. Whatever the Moryo's sword touched the Beast Charmer and Byakko should best not be near at the time.
Witnessing the holy water splash uselessly against the Moryo's shield was a mark against the Dragoon. The wasted item was not an agreeable sight, but Jou still had another two Holy Water Grenades, along with a few other weapons up the crisp white sleeves of the dress shirt. Or, rather, in the black rectangular case attached to the belt wrapped around narrow, angular hips. Joushi didn't move, however, green eyes trained on the mid-level demon, the glowing suit of armor speaking before releasing a massive yell, filled with obvious anger. Joushi didn't move or shift, sitting upright on the back of the Griffon, legs apart in the straddle, back pulled straight while arms held up the familiar and comfortable weight of the rifle. At the huge bellow Joushi took the opportunity of its blind rage to fire, a bannishing bullet leaving the rifle and following the invisible guide of the scope's crosshairs, heading for the general area of the expanse of the Moryo's chest, around what would be the collarbone area of a normal human. The hand holding the front weight of the gun slide up over the side of the barrel, avoiding the heated metal to grip the chamber's bolt to slide back and thus pump out the spent casing, the copper shell flying out with the fast, solid motions, falling to the sand bags before bouncing down to the pressed dirt below, rolling into shadows. Sliding the bolt forward a new round was pushed up into the chamber from the five round magazine case slotted in from below, still holding three more bannishing bullets ready to be chambered. The pink-haired dragoon was getting ready to fire another when the feel of qi sent the hairs on the back of a slender, lightly tanned neck to stand. A glyph appeared under the Moryo's feet, causing the Dragoon and Byakko to hunch down and lift a cursury foot in weariness, respectively. The Griffon's body shifted, Joushi feeling the muscles ripples slowly as the warm, fur covered body took a step back, lion claws and eagle talons nicking more cuts into the bags of cement that made their footing.
Green eyes narrowed, thoughts immediately turning to past experiences around this feeling and arrangement of Qi - were these glyphs familiar? Was this qi meant to funnel an attack or a barrier? Then a glyph appeared in front of the Dragoon and Byakko, causing both to look down in concern. A second soon took its place to second glyph's side. An instinct kicked in, causing Joushi to sling to gun to the side, a hand reaching down to grip Kit's neck firmly and tug to the left away from the forming circle of glyphs.
"Left, Kit. Go!" Joushi ordered firmly. The Griffon was caught off guard and hesitated, it's body slow to turn away from the first and take a smal leap forward, along the length of the pile of bags of cement, claws and talons digging deep into the grey powder and coatings of dust. However its escape was slow, and the arrival of another glyph to the left had it hesitate and rear back, clawing back, and the circle was made complete. The bird head opened its beak and cawed in concern, beady eyes darting around for an opening in the large circle. "Easy, girl." Jou patted the thick, feathered neck of the majestic beast, using the same hand to direct her attention back to the glowing blue suit of possessed armor. Green eyes were already trained on the mid level demon, catching the Moryo swinging the massive, heavy blade, a yellow and orange tinge coating the blade during the motions. Swiftly, Joushi raised the sniper rifle once more, a single green eye peering down the scope once more, quickly locking onto Moryo, but not before it had embedded its sword into the glyph at its feet, causing all of those summoned to glow and burn. The Moryo unsheathed the sword from the earth and the glyphs shot tall pillars of blue fire high into the night sky. The Griffon was too large to fly up into the sky. But it could if it were smaller. However smaller meant leaving Jou behind. As the pillars shot up one by one Jou had already made a decision. With a click of the tongue Jou threw a leg up and over the Griffon's back, lower body sliding down and off the thick body. Quickly, Jou stepped up to the eagle head and spoke.
"Go small and go high," A hand reached behind Joushi's lower back and pulled out another Holy Water Grenade while the pink-haired teenager spoke. "Pull the pin and drop this when I signal so." The Griffon's shape changed, wings shrinking and four legs morphing down into a pair of legs and arms. A small imp, purple and crowned with small, red tipped horns reached for the grenade, when a shadow and a voice boomed from the fire, exploding out in blue wrath. With an elbow Joushi knocked the imp away, its leathery wings catching its frame from being sent too far that it risked being touched by the flames, while a second hand quickly reached up as the one holding the grenade moved down, the pair meeting, fingers curling around a pin and pulling. Joushi's legs didn't give time for bending, simply pushing with what little strength the straight stance allowed to step to the side, body crouching down as the hulk of the Moryo's great, glowing might came down upon the Beast Charmer. Throwing the grenade, it was launched at the glowing armor's close chest, the falling mid level demon falling straight down onto into it. Joushi fell back, rolling down the side of the cement bags and landing on the ground, body hunkering close to bags, but not touching, to steer clear of the flames still spilling only a few steps away. As the Moryo landed great clouds of cement were sent flying, choking the air and forcing the green eyes shut to prevent grit from entering and scratching the delicate orbs.

EXWIRE QUALIFICATION EXAM 1 – Abiel Gottschalk With the cloud of confusion in place, the great demon slashed through not only knocking the grenade from its presences but also nicking Joushi’s right leg. Taking a leap back as the water rotated and swirled around, the demon slid to a stop only to roar in pain as the armor steamed. The holy water had managed to get the demon’s shield arm. As the hot steam fumed into the air the dying spirits that were connected to the area vanished as well. The great demon’s shield slammed into the ground as the giant took a knee and transferred a few of the other vengeful spirits into the limb, in a way it was ‘healing’ itself. Once the arm was functional again, the beast stood tall and raised the shield and sword before taking another stance towards Joushi and Kit. This time the blade began to glow with the same ghostly aura as the demon’s body before three glyphs rapidly formulated around the blade’s neck. Suddenly the aura turned to water and then the water turned to ice. Soon with a single thrust, a burst of water and ice spewed in the direction of the young dragoon and newly changed imp.
The Moryo continued to release these waves of water and ice in order to buy itself more time while acquiring additional vengeful spirits in the area. As the numbers of spirits appeared one by one they easily passed through the barrier, as spirits were not bound by the same rules as the rune barrier. They were already dead and could come and go as they pleased. Spirits slowly entered the azure flame like aura and became one with the Moryo. Upon gathering one hundred or so additional spirits the Moryo changed its form once again and was ready to do battle and began to chase down Joushi and kit swinging its massive sword and keeping the shield close in order to block oncoming attacks. The Moryo learned quickly, compared to most demons, as this one was filled with knowledge of those whom it absorbed, the number of tactics and battle plans a Moryo could execute was infinite in terms of the number of spirits it held.
The question now, was could Joushi outrun the Moryo’s barrage of attacks and then dodge additional strike of the blade after the Moryo finished healing behind the barrage of ice and water attacks. Although the Moryo was mainly using them for cover in order to distract Joushi, the attacks could prove to be fatal for Joushi or even Kit if either one managed to get caught in the barrage.

• As Joushi tumbled down the side of the piled cement bag, a red, waning trail followed. With a hiss, top lip curling in distaste at the sight and smell of his own copper-scented blood, green eyes only took a quick, cursory glance, long enough to inspect the wound and decide if its depth was warrented enough of a concern to require immediate medical care. The nick was deep, cutting through the top layer of lean muscle and the sweet-induced padding of flesh and fat that covered the later. Eyes snapped up at the sound of the Moryo's shield dropping, chest heaving as what felt like extra weight (first assumed to be a bag, dislodged by the Moryo's sword, of cement having fallen with the pink-haired teenager and landed on top of the slender frame) settled heavily. It was as if Boss' youngest daughter had dropped herself on the Beast Charmer, as she would when younger, asking for piggy back rides despite being old enough to walk. It was disconcerting, but the extent of the curse laid upon the dragoon became apparent as the grenades, strapped to the waist belt, the Mateba Revolver and its holster, along with the now digging strap of the sniper rifle also took on the same weight - each. <******** b***h." He hissed, nimble fingers quickly unclasping all of the buckles that held the strapped weapons and ammo, including the black, rectangular case containing the Italian sub-machine gun. As each item dropped so did the weight. With the last gone, dropped to the ground with small tufts of dust and dirt from impact, Jou unholstered the Mateba Revolver, tucking it in the back of the Dragoon's pants before also unhooking a grenade and, with a flick of both hands, sent the later rolling, pin removed and dangling from a single, slender finger, down towards the Moryo as it healed itself. It would roll to sit underneath itts crouch before exploading in violent, chemically induced, flames, spitting and hissing heatedly. The delay in their explosion allowed Jou enough to time to haul the slender, if slightly weighed down frame, up and over the pile of cement bags, another grenade in hand, being carefully hauled with a single hand, held against a narrow chest to help take and spread the pull of the weight, allowing slightly better movement.
Just think of it as a duty, carrying Boss' youngest to safety, not allowing her to be close to harm or danger, Jou thought, inspiring a steady speed before turning and, witnessing the Moryo standing and summing water, rolled the last grenade with a well aimed heave. It would roll close to Moryo's feet before exploding, covering the area in thick plumes of grey smoke, turned blue from the natural light the Moryo emmitted, further clouding the mid-level demon's natural sight but also highlighting its presence to anyone outside of the cloud.
"Drop heavy! Make noise!" Jou called, dropping heavily down from the cement bags, using them as a barrier between the Dragoon and Moryo. The small imp gave no noise of having heard, simply swooping up and over the cloud of smoke and frame taking changed, mass quickly bulking out and taking rigid, hard lines. From several meters in the air a stone golum dropped, landing on the Moryo, hands finding blind purchase to keep the Moryo down. Feeling, as well as hearing, the thud of stone on armor impact, Joushi took off as fast as possible, track experience and survival instinct kicking in to pump the now less significantly weighed down limbs to move fast and hard, heading for the nearest small shed on the vast construction site. The Stone Golom, meanwhile, was growling loudly, extering itself to keep pushing down, trowing in the occaisonal punch, feet heavy in purchase in the compacted soil beneath them, as the Moryo struggled. The noise of both of their mass weight clashing and struggling could not mask the sound of a single gun shot and the breaking of glass as Jou fired a round into the small office. Quickly dropping the revolver and picking up a piece of broken rubble, the size of Jou's own fist, the Beast Charmer used it to rub along the bottom of the window to break and rub away any last shards of the glass before climbing up and into the make-s**t building.
Inside Jou located the rack of keys, finding one of three labled 'crane' followed by a short series of numbers and two capital letters. Leaping out the window, Jou ran to the nearest crane, keys held to the chest in an attempt to help the lean body carry and disperse the weight. Kit's clashing with the Moryo, this time, was able to disguise Jou's following efforts. Unlocking the cabin door and climbing inside, Jou started up the engine while green eyes scanned the controls. The crane wasn't designed for movement, so only several buttons and two levers were there. Ignoring the buttons, Jou quickly tested the levers. One moved the crane's carge off or down onto the ground while the other told it to swing it's long arm. Lifting the cargo of steel support beams, the Dragoon swung the arm to hover over the smoke cloud, upper body leaning out slightly while an arm lifted up to initiate a short, high-pitched whistle, the other hand lowering the cargo. The smoke was starting to clear, allowing kit to spot the beams at Jou's alert and it jumped away before jumping again, this time up, solid hands grabbing the weight and causing a chain reaction.
The wire holding up the beam cried before snapping, dangerously sent whipping away and high into the air. The heavy metal of the eight support beams, meant to be used in the walls and center column of the struncture, fell in a huge, thunderous crash, denting the earth and sending everything nearby almost deaf and shaken from their feet. Even kit, sturdy and stable, had to stumble back a few steps from the immediate vicinity of the crash.
