Everyone's up north for the weekend. The popular activities are snow-mobiling, skiing, sledding, snow-shoeing and ice-fishing in the area. All of the people are staying at a resort in the hills. One night, everyone wakes up to find a blizzard going on outside. Power's out, there's food, there's heat, but they're stuck until someone can come and dig them out of the resort (for at least three days), with not much to do. What will happen? Who knows?
--- This is a OC RP thread, so just come on in and try figuring out something to do. You start off, looking out the window and seeing nothing but whiteness. If you come in later than others, just say you slept in or decided earlier not to come out of your room. ~Margem
{Darn, now I have to figure out my character if I'm going to be a part of it.} edit: Will not be in this thread, so ya'll can be in it. edit: My "mule" account, Ares_4, will be in here but not Margem. Make sense?

The quiet albino, Lael, walked down the stairs that morning earlier than most of the other guests still in her pajamas and slippers. She yawns and is about to head over to the breakfast area when she sees the white outside. She stops half way through her yawn and stares outside. Oh, s**t, she thinks.

Darian Moonleaf wakes up and looks outside. He sees nothing but a wall of white. "Great," the elf says to himself, rising to his full six feet in height, "Snowed in. So much for going back to the town where I spent my happiest moments." He had been planning to see the red haired Mystic he loved so deeply but it did not look like he would be going anywhere.

Lael heads over to get some breakfast. So much for learning how to ski, she thinks. She sits down over some tea and toast and stares outside. It's beautiful... Like something out of a movie. If only it hadn't come at such an inconvient time.

Darian decides it would be better for him to get something to eat than to sit around moping all day. He quietly slips out of his room, locking the door behind him, and walks down the stairs to the resort's main floor. Once there he heads toward the kitchen, grabbing an orange, a slice of toast and some coffee he sits at a table and begins to eat his small breakfast.

Lael finishes her toast and quietly sips her tea. She looks up as an elf enters the room, taking an orange, a slice of toast and some coffee and sitting down. Then she continues to look out the window at the white outside.

Darian notices the girl staring outside. She seem familiar, but he cannot place a name to the albino's face. He had nothing against albinos. He knew what it was like to be ridiculed for something that could not be helped.

Lael drummed her fingers on the tabel. The silence was becoming boring. Out of the courner of her eye she noticed the elf looking at her, but she ignored it. Lots of people stared. It wasn't every day that you saw an albino. She was used to it. It just didn't bother her any more.

Darian decides that he will not learn why she looks so familiar if he just sits there staring at her. He rises from his table and walks over to her, "Excuse me," the elf says politly, "Have we met before? You look familiar."

Lael jumps a bit when the elf talks to her. She was thinking, and had become lost in her own world, as she sometimes did. She studies him for a bit before saying, "No. I don't believe we have." She motions to the chair across from her. "Sit down. You're so tall it hurts my neck to look at you."

Darian laughs, "I guess everyone is starting to look familiar to me, even if I've never seen them before." The elf sighs. "I really need to stop travelling."

Darain sighs, "I've been traveling almost my entire life. Wow, considering the fact that I'm an elf I've really been travelling a long time." The elf laughs, when he returned to his love he would buy a house in town and stop his travelling. It was obviously affecting his mind. That did not surprise him, travelling was stressful enough without the added stress of being away from the woman he loves for so long. It had been six years since he had seen her last, far too long.

Lael notices the look on his face and asks, "Who are you thinking about? Someone you've left behind?" She knows the pain of seperation, although from the point of the one who was left, not the other way around. Still, that is an old wound, one that has long scabbed over.

"Yes," Darian says sadly. Then, his tone sounding slightly angered, he adds, "I was on my way back to see her when this damned snow storm hit." He realizes that he could have offended the albino and adds quickly, "I'm sorry if my language has offended you but six years is long enough."
