Do you have a bunch of unruly apprentices but nobody to teach them how not to be teenage dorks? Or do you have some nice warriors who could pass on their skills to the next generation but need the impetus to go out and meet said next generation? Then this thread is for you! It's a general warrior/apprentice matchup thread where you can get an idea of personality and clan availability!

When you post your warrior or apprentice, be sure to mention what clan they are in and what their personality is like. You don't have to write a novel, but you should give a sense of who your character is, as well as maybe some idea of what their strengths and weaknesses might be. This thread is also free for chatter- it's not just a directory, but also a place for planning and discussion about apprenticeships and introductions.

Hypothetically in this post there might one day be some kind of curated list of warriors/apprentices looking for partners. Maybe.

I guess I might as well go ahead and post mine!

Warriors
Nightslash of clan is looking for an apprentice! Nightslash is sneaky and duplicitous; while loyal to her clan (and fiercely loyal to those in her protection), she is not above using dirty tricks to get what she wants. She'd be an excellent cat to teach the arts of appearing to be what you aren't. She doesn't like fighting much, and would rather talk her way out of a problem.

Wildrose of Windclan is looking for an apprentice! Wildrose is an extremely large, rough-and-tumble lady who likes telling jokes and playing tricks. She can buckle down and be serious, but she'd much rather be the comic relief. She'd be an extremely caring and nurturing mentor; probably pretty good for a timid apprentice who needs somebody with a lot of patience or for an apprentice who is action-oriented.

Firfur of clan is looking for an apprentice! Firfur is the kind of mentor who will push you and push you and somehow make you think you're having fun. He would do well mentoring somebody assertive and motivated or somebody with a similar sense of play. I'd also be more than willing to plot with you about having your apprentice be a relative; Firfur's got a big family and would hypothetically have lots of cousins, niblings, and much younger siblings/half-siblings he'd love looking after.

Apprentices

Finchpaw of Riverclan is looking for a mentor! Finchpaw is a bright young lady and is extremely eager to learn. She's a bit of a perfectionist and would do well with either a mentor who teaches her to be more forgiving of herself or a mentor whose demanding pace keeps up with the pace she sets for herself.

Runningpaw of Riverclan is looking for a mentor! Runningpaw is not the smartest of cats, but he's really friendly and really strong. He'd do well with a mentor who can teach him technique and refinement; a patient mentor might also be quite helpful, seeing as how he tends to leap before he looks.

I have some apprentices in need of a mentor as well:

Foxpaw: An apprentice of ShadowClan
Foxpaw is a very determined little apprentice, but also one who can easily feel stressed out or overwhelmed. She would do well with a mentor who could soothe her. She tends to do best in areas involving stealth and cunning, and when it comes to hunting and straight-on fighting, she tends to experience her share of bad luck.

[I think she may be a good match for your Nightslash, Fandango?]

Pebblepaw: An apprentice of RiverClan
Pebblepaw is a little bit different from most apprentices, in a sense. He would rather run errands or help the elders than go to training. Now, simply because he lives to please, he will work as hard as his mentor will push him, and while he possess a lot of physical strength, Pebblepaw is more of a.. peace keeper. He prefers not to fight if he can help it, and overall is a very warm-hearted, open, and fun-loving little tom. For him, a mentor who was very stern could cause some tension (which would be interesting), but a more patient and considerate mentor would be able to stand him, and his consistent tendency to run off, best.
Important Edit: Pebblepaw is an older apprentice, about 12 moons old, whose training was delayed by both the Great Move and the death of his Mentor. He's pretty far along in most of his training, or, he should be!

A little bit more info can be found in my journal! More so once I've finished. but there is some stuff there now~

I think you're absolutely right about that! I think they'd be a pretty great match.

I think so too! I bet Foxpaw will be able to learn a lot from her, stuff she is sure to use! Haha

Also, I talked to Docta (Maplepaw's roleplayer), and she said it was totally fine if Palefire trained one of your two- I think he'd do well with Finchpaw! He's a strict instructor, with very high expectations, but outside of training loves to dote on and brag about his apprentices.
I do still have to hear from Angerora, but I'm pretty sure he can still go ahead and call Finchpaw his apprentice. If Angerora's loner ends up joining, Palefire will likely assume responsibility for her, and they may end up training together.
So, as long as that is okay with you, we can make it work!

Redpaw - Little Red here is a Windclan, or will be when she's certed! She is timid, easily frightened, and quite insecure about how well she'll do as a warrior. Open spaces make her incredibly wary, she doesn't leave then den often, though once she stumbles upon the rabbit dens that wind throughout their territory, she'll become far more efficient.

Scaramouche Fandango
Perhaps, she'd fit well with your Wildrose, Scara?

My Bluescar of Thunder clan is looking for an apprentice. He's a sweet natured, joking guy who loves a good fight. He would do well with just about anyone, ready to pull a shy or insecure cat out of their shell, or take a cocky cat down a peg or two. His general style with problems is to take them head on, so the apprentice would have to be prepared for a very direct teacher. He was once a kittypet, and I'm fine with an apprentice who is or is not ok with this. For more info on him and most of my other cats you can find them in my journal.

Grinjaw of shadowclan is also looking for an apprentice. He is a cat hardly ever flustered, and very hard to anger, but that is not to say that if wronged he will take things lying down. His nature in fights is usually very evasive, more than pleased to let his opponents tire themselves out before he strikes his heavy and accurate blows. He would likely focus on an apprentice's natural talents, and teach them to think for themselves rather than mindlessly following orders.

Tinyshade is currently nursing kits, and Lionsleap of skyclan will be added once I know her a tad better.

Thistleheart of Windclan is seeking an apprentice. Thistleheart is rather carefree and thinks mentoring should be enjoyable for both him and his apprentice, even going so far as to challenge his little ward to see which of them could catch the most freshkill before they had to return to camp. He is always mindful to tell his apprentice to hide their kill before catching another. When push comes to shove, Thistleheart is stern and levelheaded, able to pick out several courses of action in a fight, despite how lazy he seems. He's very friendly and intelligent and is often good at offering advice when asked for it.

Firefeather of Shadowclan is seeking an apprentice. She's stern in an almost motherly sense, but it won't stop her from rudely scolding her apprentice. She is a tough nut to crack and seems to not really have friends, though she does play nice with her clanmates. She's extremely ambitious, to the point that it causes concern, and aims to one day become the Deputy of Shadowclan, but she is content training new warriors for her clan... For now.

Blazingtiger of WindClan is looking for an apprentice! She's a large, intimidating she-cat who tends to be mistaken for a tom upon first look. She's very dedicated and has the best intentions, but she's a very attack-first-questions-later cat, who believes that diplomacy is nice and all but at the end of the day, physical prowess is the most important thing that will determine if you live or not. And thus she's a bit aggressive and a little too proud of her battle scars. That said, while awkward with training another cat at first, she's no Tigerstar.
Taking on Raypaw as an apprentice

Stonespatter of ShadowClan is looking for an apprentice! She's small, lithe, and a very amiable cat. Even if someone is socially awkward to the point of barely talking, she'll paw about for things to talk about. Stonespatter is very easy-going, and seems to put socializing before warrior duties sometimes, like chatting up border patrols from other Clans. More importantly, she likes to flirt as well as rile others up. Scaring cats with ShadowClan's reputation gives her SO much glee.
She wouldn't be the most focused mentor but she'd definitely be an experience!

Taking on Ringpaw as an apprentice

(Please ping me with a quote or PM if anyone's interested in apprenticing under either of these two. biggrin Blazingtiger's could be pre-migration while Stonespatter's should definitely be after)

Raypaw is looking for a mentor. He's a rowdy, rambunctious little fellow who loves getting his nose into places it shouldn't.

Any Riveclan cats looking for a mentor? I have a Warrior available! Would love to have someone join him in the Meta, but understand if not. We could plan it for after.

He's laid back in demeanor, but fiercely loyal to his Clan. He may saunter around in no hurry to get anywhere, but he will snap into action when he's called to it. He's an amazing fish hunter, and a sleek fighter. Would an apprentice like to learn his trade? Then feel free to PM me ^^

I feel like this turned into a dating AD XDD

TAKEN! Thank you all!

Muddypaw of ShadowClan is looking for a mentor! His previous mentor died during the plague, so someone will have to unofficially step up until they're made official later. He's "Quick on the draw, but gullible. If you talk to him long enough about something you disagree on, you can start to break down his will and sway him to your side, even if your arguments are total bologna (but sound good) ". So he's pretty smart, but swayable to what others think if they steadfastly disagree with him. Also has family issues that may or may not creep into apprentice stuff.
