Das Gift: Tier III
Revel in our darkest shadows.

Setting

The plaza now stood devoid of crystals, of malice wrought into the shapes of shadows. The strange crystals that once punctuated the power lines no longer lingered. Slowly, surely, electricity seeped back into the city, affirming others of its presence through small flickers of lamplight across the horizon. Televisions snapped into animation once more. Speakers found their voice. Blankets drew heat from the walls. With the threat ostensibly driven off, Destiny City found its comforts once more in metropolitan veins coming to life.

A large warehouse stood unimposing, identical to the rest of its ilk, save for the malicious auras emanating from its confines. Squads of Negaverse agents stood on each of the three floors, with the lower two floors extending below ground. While the warehouse offered nothing more than bay doors for loading trucks on the outside, the inside sported a reinforced roof above towering industrial racks. Each rack stood twelve feet wide by forty feet tall, and extended nearly the entire length of the building. Each rack hosted several pallets full of shrink-wrapped merchandise, primarily encased in boxes. Depending on the rack, the merchandise ranged from clothing to kitchen dishes, power tools to lawn mowers, coolers to furniture.

What truly stood around those Negaverse auras was a surfeit of hiding places, of potential weapons encased in cardboard, of vantage points atop pallets that offered their own cover to those who sought it.

A large freight elevator stood at the back end of the warehouse, complete with a metal mesh door that manually closed. A fork lift sat inside, though no pallet sat on its prongs. Not far from the lift was a large set of stairs, each lip marked with a tacky yellow tape for safety purposes, as the steps descended into the depths of the building. Each floor repeated the layout of the first, primarily differing in merchandise alone, save for the bottom floor.

While swarming with agents, the bottom floor sported a cleared space between the racks where no pallets sat blocking the aisle. A set of crystals, received by agents arriving prior, sat on the ground in the shape of a circle.

Tension hung heavy in the air.

Orders

Quote:
Buddingtonite deployed a spectacle of his own concoction to buy time for our draining operation. Benitoite organized and coordinated several groups to drain the city of its precious energy. Now, we gather beneath the roof of a multilevel warehouse to guard the burgeoning fruits of our labors: the construction of the portal. I, Bischofite, will head the final portion of this operation.

Ultimately our goal is to guard against any threat that intends to decommission our operation. For this, we must put our lives on the line. I've arranged for one group per floor, each with different tasks.

Our first group is primarily reconnaissance - they will be outfitted with binoculars in an effort to spot senshi before auras are perceived. These units are not meant to engage the opposition to any real capacity; their usefulness lies in their ability to relay information to other groups in a timely and effective manner. Without communication, there is no coordination - this group ensures that we behave as the well-oiled machine that the Negaverse intended for us to be. Once the opposition nears or enters the building, this team must relay that signal to the teams below. These units must retain a level head in pressing situations; failure will not be tolerated.

Our second group is a trap-triggering team, on standby for the signal from our reconnaissance team. This trap is one of simplicity, yet surprising effectiveness. They must first disable the freight elevators present in the building, and sabotage the sprinklers overhead to ensure its mechanism will not trigger in the event of a fire. Finally, this team will spread accelerant throughout the second level and set it alight upon receiving the signal from the reconnaissance group. Afterward, they are to take the stairs to the bottom floor.

This simple trap is surprisingly effective based on a couple principles. For one, smoke rises - while the senshi try desperately to organize themselves in the first floor, smoke will flood the room and deprive them of oxygen at an alarming rate. Either they will leave or subject themselves to further smoke inhalation in an attempt to navigate their way through the floor. With luck, some will die. And if we face the misfortune of finding their ilk filtering down from the upper floors, we will engage them in a weakened state.

Ideally, the plan proceeds as follows:
- The first team spots senshi.
- The first team radios the second team their cue as the senshi enter the building.
- The first team then engages the enemy lightly, buying time for the second team.
- The second team spreads accelerants throughout the second floor.
- The second team ignites the accelerants.
- The second team then evacuates to the bottom floor.
- The first team disengages as soon as possible and teleports to the bottom floor.

Should we face our opposition on the bottom floor, we must do so through force of numbers and greater strength. Use every scrap of your cunning, your viciousness, your power to tear through every last shred of their will. Let them bleed a river into the Rift itself.

Dawn will meet our victory.

OOC Information
How it's mapped out.

Event Information

_______Tier III tentatively ends on May 24!

Chaos Information

General
_______1. Every officer attending this event that was not part of Tier II is already present as ordered by Bischofite, so there's no need to have your character filter in on their first post.
_______2. Every officer coming in from Tier II is free to post their arrival however you see fit! Keep in mind previous battle condition!
_______3. Every officer has a predetermined position as listed below.
_______4. Please bold which floor you're on at the top of your posts! Examples: Floor I, Floor II, Floor III.
_______5. You are required to have fun.

List of Positions
_______Group Leader: The group leader is in charge of coordination within each group, as well as ensuring that all officers work together to achieve their allotted goal. They have the authority to override orders if necessary to ensure survival of their officers.
_______Recon Team: Stationed on the first floor, Recon Team is in charge of spotting the enemy as they arrive. Their orders are to radio the Strike Team to indicate enemy arrival, and then engage their foes as necessary until they perceive smoke. Once smoke filters in, their orders are to disengage immediately and teleport to the bottom floor of the building.
_______Strike Team: Stationed on the second floor, the Strike Team is to stand by until they receive notification from the Recon Team that the opposition has arrived. During the wait, they can radio other groups, talk amongst each other, or even get curious and take a peek at the top floor where the Recon Team is stationed. However, once they get the cue, they are to spread gas all over the second floor as quickly as possible and light it on fire! Afterward, Strike Team officers are instructed to regroup with the bottom floor's Guard Team.
_______Guard Team: Stationed on the bottom floor. The Guard Team's mission is to protect the portal construction at all costs. With the freight elevator ostensibly out of commission, they only need to focus on one entrance point. During the wait, Guard Team members can see to other officers' wounds, rally themselves for an upcoming fight, or express any possible suspicions to one another about the true nature of this mission. Once the Strike Team and Recon Team arrive, the fight's bound to come!

Officer Placement

_______Corrupted Sailor Lellouch: Guard Team

Recon Team: 8
Strike Team: 7
Guard Team: 10

_______*Please note: Recon team has orders to carry out their mission with the ability of ignoring their leader. Bischofite chose Leto as a figurehead more than a leader - without a crystal communicator, she lacks the ability to radio others. In other words, he's cast her as the leader of the show to get her killed. Personnel in recon have orders to not teleport Leto out.

Order Information

General

_______1. Order is approaching! Please have your characters arrive in their first post.
_______2. The blackout has lifted, but the Negaverse agents still escaped with their crystals! Destiny City might find itself in a bigger pickle if you don't step in to stop them...
_______3. Please bold which floor you're on at the top of your posts! Examples: Floor I, Floor II, Floor III. Every Order character should start on the top floor.
_______4. You are required to have fun.
_______5. Order has no established positions! Your characters are free to ICly assemble or structure themselves as they see fit. I know some of you requested leader positions within Order, but there is no way for me to institute that given no established ranks within Order! Sorry!

Freight Lift Rolls

_______Freight lift rolls apply to any Order character who is attempting to access the lift for a pre-emptive strike on the lowest level.
_______By accessing the elevator, senshi and knights can ambush the Negaverse! It also provides sanctuary from the flames eating through the second floor. The stairs are still fully functional - this is intended as a positive mechanic for Order to get the jump on Chaos!
_______In order to get the elevator running, you must randomize 1-3 and score a 3 to get the lift working again. A 2 yields no response, and a 1 shocks you. Ouch!
_______For example, Sailor Coorslite rolls a 1. She gets shocked!
_______Once someone gets the elevator up and running, feel free to mass quote to alert everyone to its working order. No further rolls are needed! It's good to go for the remainder of the event.
_______For example, Sailor Rollingrock scores a 3. Success! Rollingrock's player then spoilers a mass quote to Order to notify other players that the lift is working.

Summary
A quick reference.

_______I will try to update this every day! Below is an abridged version of the events:

Page 1

_______First Floor
Leto arrives, mentally reflecting that she does not trust anyone present, and that she is here to keep an eye on the Negaverse. She tells her team to keep her in the loop for orders as she has no means of communication. She tells others to contact Strike and Guard team when the senshi arrive, and to call for her if in dire need of assistance.

Acubens arrives hurt, her leg sporting superficial injuries. Despite mental claims of retirement, she spots Leto and her mind whirls to a halt.

Andronicus arrives, brushing just past Acubens and spots Leto. She offers a slight bow. She decides to stick with Acubens.

Iris orders her team to follow to the warehouse. She calls Iris Rainbow Slicer and whips her attack into the crowd of agents.

Inwardly Avalon is concerned about the presence of a youma downstairs with the crystals. She tells Persephone of her dislike of orders to leave Leto behind in light of recent events. She calls Strike and Guard team to inform of senshi arrival.

Ganymede arrives irritated and disheveled with light injuries. She looks over the individuals present and remarks aloud about Leto's size.

_______Second Floor
Cyllene arrives, excited for her place in this mission.

Mica arrives and instructs others in the Strike Team to stick to the plan without deviation. She realizes some of the others around her are in need of medical attention.

Vespa crouches near a gas canister in an increasingly destructive mood. He mentally berates himself for being unable to foil the operation previously. He looks to Cyllene, wishing to siphon her excitement.

_______Third Floor
Serpentine arrives battered. He orders Guard Team to structure themselves between the stairs and the portal construction area based on the range of their attack.

Bischofite instructs Recon Team to notify him when senshi arrives. He keeps his nerves to himself, and stands closest to Malicious, who is in the portal construction area.

Buddingtonite arrives, held together solely by pills. He takes position near the portal, and offers that opening portals to hell do not put him in a good mood.

Page 2

_______First Floor
Varuna arrives, and launches her attack (snow slip), which was aimed for the group of Negaverse agents.

Turquoise was sitting atop a pallet practicing surveillance when the senshi struck. She joined the fight only to be choked by Iris' rainbow lasso.

Persephone discusses with Avalon her inclination to ignore Bischofite's orders, due to Zinkenite's wrath (and higher rank). She is then struck by Varuna's attack.

Megrez arrives, standing in shock at the scene.

Ate makes a mental note to pull Vespa aside later. Afterward, she casts her magic at the group of arriving senshi, hurling a ball of trash and pollutants at them.

Acubens orders Andronicus to search for a way down. Afterward she takes up a plank and attacks Ate with it.

Astarte arrives, and is struck squarely by Ate's attack. After rebounding, she tells Megrez to open one of the boxes and start throwing plates at the enemy.

Leda arrives, and solicits Ganymede for a plan during the chaos.

Megrez starts throwing plates at Ate.

Ganymede agrees that they should sneak around, inviting Leda and Valhalla to circumvent the fray. She urges that they look for some stairs.

Penthesilea arrives, ready to attack chaos.

Liryn arrives, trying to avoid the sticky mess left behind by Ate's attack. He smells smoke and informs the others around him.

Valhalla arrives, and follows Ganymede around for a set of stairs. He smells smoke and surmises that the Negaverse is trying to keep them out.

_______Second Floor
Mica gives the order to set the floor alight.

Kerberos complies with the order.

_______Third Floor
Bischofite issues the order to light the second floor on fire. Afterward he confides in Buddingtonite that he is worried.

Buddingtonite tries to hold it together, doing so admirably until Bischofite noted his worry. Afterward, all attempts to remain stoic fell apart.

Serpentine notices his companion's shock and dismay, and approaches accordingly. He asks for an explanation, as well as a reason for Bischofite's youma to linger by the portal construction site.

Page 3

_______First Floor
Varuna tried to attack Persephone, and aborted the attack due to an incoming ball of pollutants from Ate. She realized the presence of smoke and made a beeline toward the elevator.

Ganymede fixed the elevator and tore her train to offer protection from the smoke to her teammates. She runs into Varuna as well.

Leto powers up into her princess form and uses her crystal to cast a 150 foot jungle within the warehouse, cloaking her chaos allies.

Gunn arrives, noticing Leto, and casts wildfire propagation to agitate the flames below.

Leto engages Gunn in battle and drops her princess form for eternal.

Psyche arrives with Thetis, and attempts to cast her magic at Ate. Thetis whimpers in fear at the spectacle.

Iris lets Turquoise go in favor of dodging the gunk ball from Ate. After the jungle rises around her, she uses her basic attack as a light source for navigation.

Athene tracks a lieutenant to the warehouse. The jungle arises around him, and he catches scent of the smoke as well.

Falias arrives, and approaches Iris for direction.

Leda follows Ganymede and others into the elevator.

Sarras arrives, and heads for the elevator.

Canopus arrives, and spots Leto. She tries to defend her from Gunn.

Tsui arrives, and also dashes for the elevator.

Astarte smells the smoke, and tries to get Megrez to go below the first floor. The jungle blooms around her, and suddenly Astarte is temporarily frozen.

_______Second Floor
Cyllene joins in setting the second floor ablaze.

Benitoite assists in setting the floor on fire, then departs for lower levels with worry.

_______Third Floor
Cora arrives, poking around before she sneaks into a ventilation shaft and makes her way to the bottom floor, sounding a small creak.

Bischofite explains that youma are more useful than officers in erecting portals to the Rift. He hears Cora's movements but brushes them off as building groans due to fire.

Increasingly suspicious, Buddingtonite questions if Bischofite is operating under their superiors' direction. He hears the elevator and announces that company is arriving soon.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who signed up for this event, and a special thanks to Bluefire Dragonz for assisting me in the plotting process and double checking my work, and to everyone for participating so well in Tier II!

Tier III involves some special twists to bring the event to a close! Like last time, it's up to everyone to make use of your predetermined roles and bring the setting to life! This event will culminate in a order win, so bear that in mind as you progress through the final tier of the event!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please PM or AIM me to discuss!

Have fun, and don't forget - this tier will close on May 24, based on the last tier's run time!

Quicksilver the Archangel

Beloved Seraph

PostPosted: Fri May 16, 2014 12:11 pm
Serpentine is at the bottom floor.

General Serpentine was beyond anger. His beloved uniform reeked of smoke, his hands still burned beneath the treatment Tsavolite had provided as he and Buddingtonite had dealt with the after effects of Eternal attacks on the way to their second position. His hair remained plastered to his face with sweat and the remnants of tears, but the wounds that hurt worst were those to his pride. His emotional defenses had been stripped away and his reason impaired. He had fallen apart, shattering like a terracotta pot against concrete and no way to gather his own pieces. Were it not for his partner... he would be dead. Death, the ultimate failure, and he had been so near it without ever realizing it.

Now he stood in charge of another group of officers, knowing that he was in far worse shape than he had been when these events began. Two teleportations had drained him to the point that summoning Stheno was impossible. His charred hands could hold his whip, but it was only a matter of time before pain or numbness rendered that useless. Buddingtonite, who had suffered as much as he and more from earlier fights, now had to face another gauntlet.

Serpentine hated it. Hated it as much as he hated this oozing wound of a portal that he had had a hand in opening, that he now had to defend. Hatred, at least, provided the fuel to keep him standing.

"Guards," he barked into the communications crystal still lodged in his ear, cold fury adding an edge to his voice that his fatigue could not dull. He was no speech maker, and he would not thank those who had stood beside him during the distraction, though he recognized several officers who had. The time for praise and reward was after the battle, when the cup of victory was full and all could receive their earned share. "Those who engage in close combat, flank the entrance. Those for long range, focus on defending the portal."

Serpentine's intention was to force anyone who came through that door to survive not one attack, but two. If it, when it, became necessary... then those from the front could either pull back, or the ones in the back pull forward. It was a rudimentary plan, but at least it was one that he felt had a chance at keeping them all alive. The general followed his own suggestion, moving back towards the portal as his whip provided some attack distance. To his partner alone, he half-whispered, "Buddy... I do not like this."

Bischofite is at the bottom floor.

"Malicious," he called, the syllables rolling off his tongue with native familiarity by now. The youma responded in kind, as she always did - a smile, some perverse echo of real sentiment, spread across her features. They found little use for communication, as Malicious knew her role perhaps better than he. "You know what to do."

And so did he.

Heeding Serpentine's orders, Bischofite stationed himself closest to the purported portal's construction point. With chakrams in hand, he afforded a measure of distance cover to those who might stumble through the stairs, awash in smoke and desperation. Yet... that time had not come. Not yet. For now, the waiting game took precedence - and such a precarious play between keeping the officers blinded by their ostensibly pure plan while maintaining Malicious' cover was perhaps far more difficult than any legitimate fight.

The prickling sensation of pressure pulled at the hairs lining his neck, taut and very nearly laced with the static of nerves frayed. To know panic... It's almost exhilarating. I wonder how many of these officers will catch on before our plan sees its fruition. Not all are easily swayed by talk and rank alone. Some still suspect my motives, as they've surely met with my treachery before.

This will be your most difficult battle yet, Bischofite. Can you spread the chaos of the Rift through Destiny City, with naught but a youma and a few charged crystals? Can you hold a room of officers under your sway while you taint their homes and loved ones with the presence of animate shadows? Doubt blooms, but a capable gardener might weave it into a proper garden.

I've spent too much time with Quenton.

Finally Bischofite summoned his communications crystal, holding the humming gem to his lips as he spoke. "Recon Team, notify me upon sighting of any senshi or knights converging on our position. Remember to do so after you relay ze message to our Strike Team. We haf' no budget for mistakes here." And I might have the lowest margin for it all. I fear I might've rested too many aims on this operation. Ridding the world of Leto... I wonder if it'll take. The leader of the Recon Team... Would anyone believe it? Some tawdry Dark Mirror trash placed in a leadership position for a Negaverse operation, lacking both teleportation and radio communications to fulfill the part... Surely anyone with a mind would recognize it as folly.

I hope she chokes on the smoke billowed out by her 'allies' tonight.

Don't fail me now, Malicious.

"Worry not, General. You'll be happy with these results," the youma half-sang with a smile lingering on her lips. All emulations, down to the manner in which she bowed just slightly, tugging on the back of his sleeve as an old remnant of reassurance before she bounded toward the set of crystals. They lay aglitter on the floor, haphazardly placed in the formation of a circle - another emulation she knew well.

The echo of a bluff, of a lie built to house enmity. "You'll have your portal soon, General." As she reached the center of the circle, she undertook the slow process of drawing energies out of the vibrant violet crystals.

Quote:
Orders have specifically stated an officer trained in the portal erection process will be working with the crystals, not a humanoid youma. Anyone can feel free to ask about this ICly!

Anyone present on the bottom floor can interact with Bisch!

Leto is on the first floor.

Eternal Sailor Leto paced the warehouse closest to it's entrance point- where soon Senshi and Knights alike would be flooding in. While she was happy to be put in a leadership position with a few people that she knew, she in no way trusted anyone after the happenings of the White Phoenix ambush. Not in a warehouse. Not with the likes of Bischofite heading the operation. Wolframite was one thing, she knew he wanted her dead... But Bischofite was an entirely different sort of enemy- and that was why Leto was there.

Not only to prove herself as better than them, as an ally to the Negaverse, but to keep a close eye on them as well.

With no ability to talk to the team in it's entirety without a communication crystal, all Leto could do was wait as more of her team filtered in from whatever mission it was that Bischofite had them running before-hand. When the entire team arrived, Leto pressed the binoculars to her face to watch for the White Moon approach.

"If you receive orders from below, please be sure to keep me in the know. I obviously can't communicate with Bischofite or the others, so I'm relying on you guys. You are my ears tonight. If you're to trust me not to kill you, then I'm going to trust you not to stab me in the back when they arrive." She turned to face them, dropping the binoculars. Her red eyes glanced over them all individually, took each and every one of them in. Looking for signs of betrayal before the mission even started.

While she was sure of Persephone and Avalon as well if she remembered her... She was unsure about Ate, who she had fought when she was still a White Moon Senshi, and the others were all Agents that she had never met.

She smiled, then turned her attention back to the outside world. "Once we see them approaching, one of you will have to contact the Strike team and another the Guard team below. After that, use this warehouse to your advantage. Do whatever you have to do to keep them at bay until the Strike team is ready for them," she said without turning her attention to the group.

"If you're in a dire situation, call for me. I'm useless for communication but I am here to help you in any other way."

[OOC: Feel free to ignore Leto's orders if it makes sense for your character wink If you want to call Leto out on her bullshit/attack her/anything, by all means go right ahead. If there is anything I/Leto can do for you, let me know! I and Leto know what she's getting into by being a 'leader' to a bunch of Negas that may not take orders from someone that is not of their ranks! <3]

Cyllene is on the second floor.

The Corrupt Senshi of Acid was practically vibrating with excitement. For the first time since she joined the Negaverse, she was involved in a real life mission with an actual thing to do. This one thing alone made her corruption into the Negaverse worthwhile- nothing she ever did as a White Moon Senshi felt like she was accomplishing anything. Nothing she did mattered.

But now? This mattered. She mattered. She was a part of something and that was pretty much the most exciting thing in the history of ever for her.

Standing on the second floor, staring wide-eyed and enamored at the group that was assembling. Cyllene rolled back onto the heels of her boots and back to the tips of her toes over and over again as she waited for the call from above and her orders from the team leader.

The eff you doin here?

Acubens is on the first floor
I think... correct me if I did this wrong...

The officer who had broken from the pack had lead Acubens here. She looked at the warehouse warily. The last time she was in one of these she nearly died. She'd probably almost die walking into this one too but... there was work to be done. She almost wanted to throw her pen away and forget it forever. Go back to being just Micah and just go to culinary school and just grow up normally. Then who would Misha send out to find out about the power outages. Acubens rolled her eyes and huffed, pushing herself forward despite the constant and obnoxious sting in her legs. She smacked her lips once or twice, eyes tired and body even more so. This was quickly getting old. All of the ambushes and the traps... Acubens had had just about enough of it all.

"I'm retiring after tonight," she sighed, not really believing it herself.

She should linger just at the edges of the auras she sensed and wait for whomever chose to follow her out of that makeshift team of misfits. They should decide what to do together, when they all arrived. But Acubens had always been a stupid girl and while now she was marginally less stupid she was still what she had always been. And as such, she pressed on, leg and ribs protesting the entire way through the gaping maw of the loading bay doors. The good new was that they felt superficial. They'd heal in a week and leave no traces. No reason they should stop her. And they didn't. What stopped her was the figure inside the doors.

Everything stopped for a second or two, like the world had slammed to a halt, leveling cities and countries. The room spun and Acubens almost lost her balance. She almost couldn't voice her name, but in the end she must have because it was Acubens' voice that she heard calling, "Leto?"

Andronicus is on the first floor

The Page caught up to Acubens after a fashion. She'd spent more time dusting youma and trying to beat Negaverse officers into submission than she really needed to, so by the time the location changed and everyone started moving she already had a trek in front of her.

Ten minutes of hard running and an ankle that threatened bloody murder, she rounded on the first floor of the building. And all but slammed into Acubens. She stumbled past the wide eyed senshi trying to stop moving. Andronicus' hair was half out of it's ponytail, her hood was down, and it was a miracle she still had her weapon. She blinked at the senshi before swiveling to the one she was staring at.

Leto.

She blinked a few times, mildly confused. The fact she was helping the officers, after White Phoenix seemed odd to Andronicus. There had to be some sort of other motive behind the Dark Mirror Senshi's presence. It wasn't any of Andronicus' business, but she now had a choice.

Stay here and risk being branded a 'traitor'.

Or leave Acubens here by herself.

Balance was a fickle thing.

The Page of Uranus looked for auras around them and kept up a guard. She'd stick with Acubens; the woman hadn't let her astray yet. Andronicus gave a little bow to Leto (though whether it was going to be well received was, well, to be seen) and paced the door they'd just come in. Best to be safe, just in case.

Buddingtonite is on the bottom floor.

General Serpetine wasn't the only officer that had joined the fray in a foul mood, though he was simply too exhausted to bring himself to express any rage or really even emotion at all. How was he standing? How was he not crumbled on the floor right now, both his bandaged hand and stitched side were agitated from his previous escapade, but thankfully those areas were numbed, thanks to Tsavolite's efforts and those damn good pills that Mica kept him supplied with. It had taken awhile for the meds to kick in, and if asked how he was even standing, that'd be his answer.

Pills.

And Serpentine. Serpentine did a wonderful job in keeping him motivated, and it wasn't out of fear or threats. His friend was injured and though the lieutenant did a great job in patching their wounds (and giving them both one of the best and most crippling scoldings in existence), he knew that if Serpentine returned to duty, then so would he. After all, he promised Serpentine that they wouldn't do a mission apart, and he promised Bischofite and the Negaverse to put forth his best effort. And Buddingtonite, though tired, wounded, mentally and physically drained, would not be made a liar!

He was more than happy to give the reigns to Serpentine this time around. Action and commanding units? That was his thing... Buddingtonite played his part earlier and that was that. Given his weapon, he figured that he'd be perfect for defending the portal, and he could not ignore Serpentine's whisper. "You and me both... the idea of opening portals to hell don't put me in a feel-good mood. But chin up... we're almost done. I'm sure Bischofite has all of this figured out... right, Bischy?"

He looked towards the general in question and the youma he spoke with... and for a moment, he found his jealousy combating with his doubt. Serpentine, Benitoite and now Bischofite had a youma that could talk, while all his could manage was a strangled and gurgly 'graaaaaaaa' noise... it wasn't fair!

It didn't matter, he told himself, moving towards the portal. He was simply too tired to engage in friendly banter for the moment...right now, he simply hoped that Serpentine wouldn't require too much of his assistance and that wherever Turquoise was stationed, she'd be safe. The very idea of separating them had to have been a cruel joke!

It's time.

Mica and Vespa are on the second floor.

Things were going surprisingly well, though just by looking at her, one wouldn't think that General Mica was affected by this at all. As far as she appeared to others, she was calm as a cucumber and thus far reacted little to outside stimili, though if one could look deeper, they could see that she was slightly on edge. Not enough to scowl or show any concern to others, but she could not ignore the shudder of anticipation that threatened to come out every so often. Still, she kept herself still and emotionless, calling to her unit over the crystals and making her speech brief. If they wanted to be patted on the back or given a Patton like speech, then they expected it from the wrong general. "Strike Team, you know your role. Stick to it and do not deviate unless it is to assist a fellow comrade. Stay at the ready, but do not waste a single drop."

She didn't add the or else bit because she simply assumed that they'd know better. They didn't need to be threatened to be motivated... Vespa, perhaps, as she cast him an angered look before turning her gaze down to the floor below her, immediately hearing Serpentine barking orders and spotting the two generals. They looked tired, but now was not the time to pry into their affairs. At least now it seemed her medkit would finally have some use...

Eternal Sailor Vespa was not liking his assignment one bit and unlike the stone statue that was Mica, it showed clearly on his face. Much of his anger was within himself, agitated by the fact that the one time he wanted to fail that it mattered so little in the end. Not that it was his fault, he attempted to rationalize to himself as he remained crouched on the second floor, a gas canister next to him and well within arm's reach. So very tempting, given the destructive state of mind the eternal was in.

It wasn't his fault. The Negaverse and their officers, bar himself, were simply more effective and talented than he could ever be, and it wasn't the White Moon Court's fault either that they could not prevent this. At least, that's what he told himself. Maybe it was denial, or he was looking to throw his blame on someone else besides himself, but what done was done. And from where he was watching, he didn't like what he saw. At all.

Mica warned them not to move early... Vespa barely held back his sneer and glanced downward when she looked to be turning to him. 'Just don't think about it. Just don't think about it. Do what you're ordered to do and hope for the best. This is all I can do.'

He could see Cyllene's excitement, and he wished there was a way to siphon a small fraction of that, at least enough to where he wasn't a nervous wreck. He had seen enough horror films to know that this--ALL of this-- was a bad idea... the problem was, was Bischofite playing the role of Herbert West... or Crawford Tillinghast?

Iris is on the first floor

The encounter with the Negaverse had been brief for the eternal senshi, and though lights were coming back to the city, the growing gathering of chaotic energies in one seemingly abandoned building ahead.

There were two choices, and only one choice really stood out as the actual option for her fellow teammates.

"...come on f*ckers..." she said as she gestured to Psyche, Metis, and Thetis to follow as she sprinted towards the warehouse.

Upon arrival, it was obvious that order had been expected. Unfortunately, Iris did not know about the circumstances of White Phoenix, so things seemed in place with the Eternal Dark Mirror Senshi (Leto) amongst the Negaverse soldiers.

"Let's f*ck some sh*t up!" she said in greeting before calling out "IRIS RAINBOW SLICER!*" From her fist that she tightened at her side, a bright rainbow seemed to sprout out. Without hesitation, she swung the colorful lasso into the gathering of Negaverse soldiers.

Iris Rainbow Slicer: (Super level attack) Think Rainbow lasso with the ability to cut through things with heat/light (or rather, cause burns).

[OOC: Anybody on the Recon team can get hit by Iris' attack if they want, just be sure to bold if they are since I have quotes off.]

Avalon is on the first/top floor

This was the part of the operation Avalon had misgivings about. Not the opening a portal to someplace. That was fine. Cool. Let the youma have free run of destiny city, who cared, youma liked her okay anyway and she kinda liked them, when they weren't creepy twisted abominations. They were always creepy twisted abominations. Which is why the humanoid youma she'd seen when she dropped off her brightly glowing crystal was a little unnerving to her... Those things hungered for the energy in the crystals. They'd massed around them at the power plant. Now there was one downstairs...

It seemed like a recipe for disaster.

"Persephone," she said, once Leto was done addressing the troops, "can we talk?" She walked with the corrupted senshi towards the front of the group, passing the milling Negaversers ("Pay attention, the enemy is coming!") and widening the distance between Avalon, Persephone, and Leto. "I don't like our instructions," she said lowly. "Didn't people recently get branded by Zinkenite for acting against the mirror Court? I don't think he'd take this well either." Like, knowing that you were leaving someone somewhere in lethal conditions, that was pretty much killing them, right? Leto was, nominally, an ally--and as a matter of technicality, Bischofite could not punish them for exercising their own better judgement. He could refer them to Zinkenite, but... they held the same rank as he did.

She shook her head and pulled out her crystal when a lieutenant--Pirisite, she remembered--shouted back that he saw senshi. "Lovely," she said, pulling out her communications crystal. "Strike team, Bischofite, we have senshi incoming. Let's get this bonfire started." Mindful of Leto's... Disability... Avalon shouted over her shoulder, "Senshi incoming, Leto!"

The Eternal's attack didn't come particularly close to Avalon, but the General found herself stepping back and away with an arm thrown back to keep Persephone away from the slip of rainbow light. "******** senshi," said Avalon, rolling her eyes. Her sword was a chilled, but welcome, weight in her hand when she called it in. "You want her?"

Ganymede is on the first/top floor!

“Whhhyyyyyyyyyyy is it always a warehouse?”

This did not bode well at all.

Not that any part of the evening had gone as Ganymede might have preferred. Oh, sure, she'd done alright against Buddingtonite and hadn't gotten herself killed outside the power plant despite a random youma's best efforts, but tracking agents of Chaos all over the city wasn't really her idea of a good evening. And she still didn't even know what they were up to. Nothing that would benefit her or her allies, surely. Probably not the city, either. Or the world. Or the universe.

Or whatever.

A rooftop hostage situation turned into a not-so-thrilling escape from a building aflame, energy draining crystals at a power plant attracting overactive youma, and now a none-too-innocent warehouse.

Common sense said to turn around and leave this one to the stupid fools crazy enough to fall for an obvious set-up. With any luck, the Negaverse would screw themselves over and fail fantastically. You know, like last time.

Stubbornness and anger said otherwise, and with a mutter of a few choice curses (“******** damn it son of a b***h-a** holy ******** of God”), Ganymede approached the loading dock and stomped inside with a sharp click-click-click of too high heels. Fatigue hadn't quite hit yet, still held at bay by a flood of adrenaline, but she certainly didn't look as pristine as she might have upon landing on the roof of the retail store. She sported smears of dirt and ash, her collar torn to shreds, her top-hat and choker both missing, one glove ripped to show a scraped and slightly bloody arm.

But she'd be damned if she didn't enter that building with her head held high.

The action, it seemed, had already begun, or so the rainbowed Eternal (Iris) would have her believe. (“You must be always on your guard, or she'll catch you with her magical lasso!”)

Ganymede had other ideas, and like the figures of Acubens and a blue-clad page (Andronicus), she came to a momentary halt and examined the collection of figures before her. There were few she recognized, though she noted the presence of Avalon and the corrupt Eternal (Persephone) (and hadn't Val said her name, too?) from before.

And Leto. That came as something of a surprise to Ganymede, considering the events in the previous Warehouse of Doom. Ganymede had never really seen her before, at least not up close or for any notable length of time, though she'd heard plenty about her. Leto's size came as even more of a surprise.

She'd expected a Princess of the Dark Mirror Court to be... well... taller.

“Not really very impressive looking, is she?” she muttered to no one in particular, though she expected Valhalla heard well enough. “I could totally take her.”
