Then love yielded to public weal, the father to the king:
Iphigenia stood to give her chaste life-blood amid the
weeping priests before the altar.

- Ovid, Metamorphoses

Name: Liena Eklund

Nickname: Lia, to those that are close to her.

Age: 19

Birthday: November 14th

Sign: Scorpio

Gemstone: Topaz

Blood Type: B-

Fav. Food: Apples

Hated Food: Shellfish

School: DCU

Hobbies:
+ Track and Field She's been on the Track and Field team since middle school. Her events are middle distance running (1,500m run and mile run) and javelin toss. Liena also competes in sprints and jumps but those aren't her specialties. She has track training every other day on weekdays and she loves it.

+ Hiking Apart from the training she does for track and field, Liena also likes taking time to go hiking. The goal of the peak is always in her mind, but she enjoys being in nature as well. The outdoors and the escape from her usual life are soothing. She makes time in her schedule to go hiking every month or so, always aiming to conquer another mountain. (She'd prefer every weekend, but hey, can't have it all.)

Virtues:
+ Self-assured She needs no one to compliment her or reassure her. She needs no outside affirmation of her worth or character besides her own opinion. Of her abilities, strengths and weaknesses, she holds an awareness that is impressive. When she pushes herself beyond her limits it is more a reflection of her inability to yield than an overestimation of her capabilities. It isn't that she doesn't know what she is and is not capable of, only that she cannot accept failure. Rarely does she doubt her own decisions. If Liena isn't good enough for you, then you aren't good enough for her.

+ Observant Liena has a keen eye and the wisdom to keep much of what she observes to herself. She is quick to figure out how things relate to one another, which accounts for her success in school. She is quick to pick up on habits and patterns with people as well. What she does with that information is sometimes questionable in morality.

+ Dynamic She is always on the move, always trying something, always seeking something. Liena isn't one to sit still. She doesn't know what to do with down time, instead she finds other tasks to do. Any free time she has disappears into another project, another goal. Her work ethic is commendable, and her seemingly inability to burn out is amazing.

Flaws:
+ Manipulative She isn't used to not getting her way. Part of this is because of her character. But part of it is that Liena isn't above manipulation, be it guilt-trips or blackmail, to get what she wants. Sometimes she is subtle, sometimes she is overt. Regardless, it is one aspect of herself that she doesn't like acknowledging, because while it may get her what she wants, it isn't right.

+ Unyielding She doesn't seem to understand the idea of "limits". Liena is always pushing herself and others. She doesn't know when to stop or how to quit. In sport and life, she doesn't like to lose and refuses to surrender no matter the circumstances. Let's just say she's the person still hitting the horse long after it's died. Her hard headed approach to life makes it hard to be around her sometimes. Unfortunately, her own personality and outlook makes her look down on those who "don't try". They are lower than dirt in her opinion.

+ Obsessive Once Liena fixates on something it will dominate her mind endlessly. She will work endlessly towards her goals in a single-minded fervor. She will remember little details for the longest time. Grudges she holds can last millennia. That boy who pulled her pigtails in kindergarten? Liena remembers. Liena is still extracting her revenge for that.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Bright eyes, blue-gray.
Hair: Rich brown with a honey-like sheen. Slightly wavy. It falls down her shoulders.

Face: Small face, strong straight nose.

Clothes: Neat, but minimalistic. Possible outfits: x, x, x.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Senshi: Senshi Iphigenia of Sacrifice

Challenge: There is only one choice.

Fuku Colour: White
Main Color: Navy blue
Secondary Color: Silvery-blue

Attacks: These are your senshi's abilities, which will be used in battle. These abilities correspond to your senshi's element. Think of it as a "summary" of what your senshi can do in one word.

Sailor Scout Attack: Aulis' Promise
Iphigenia makes a small ball of energy filled with swirling silvery-light in her hand and fires it at an enemy causing damage akin to being hit by a paintball. Upon contact, it shatters and dissipates.

The strength of this attack becomes stronger the more blood Iphigenia has lost. A Class I hemorrhage feels like a close range paintball shot, while a Class II hemorrhage feels like getting hit by a large rock. She gains a power spike about every 2 cups of blood she's lost, but will not get any power increase beyond a Class II hemorrhage.

She can use this attack four times in battle.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Aulis' Truth
Similar to her Sailor attack except the impact becomes slightly more powerful. Upon shattering, the target is briefly bathed in silvery light that heightens their sense of pain.

As with Aulis' Promise, the strength of this power increases when Iphigenia has shed blood. The strength of the magical effect does not increase with blood loss. She can now achieve power increases from Class III/IV hemorrhages, but this comes at the cost of her well-being because of the obvious implications. Upon losing 30-40% of her blood, Iphigenia's power is enough to knock most people off their feet.

She may use this attack three times in a battle.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Iphigenia's Choice
Iphigenia touches her brooch and closes her eyes. The aura around her shifts and sharpens. When Iphigenia opens her eyes, she points in the direction of her target and a small string of light from her brooch connects briefly with an enemy that has drawn Iphigenia's blood.

For the next minute any damage or pain inflicted upon Iphigenia is also mirrored onto the target. Damage incurred before the activation of this spell does not get transferred, but the feeling of pain that Iphigenia has will. That is to say, if Iphigenia breaks her arm before activating Iphigenia's Choice, the target will not suddenly get a broken arm but they will feel the pain she feels because her arm is broken. If Iphigenia's arm is broken during the connection, then the target receives a mirror injury.

She can only use this attack once per battle.

[ Hello Minsuil!

First of all big congrats on the gorgeous Senshi! She is lovely!!

Now for some crittage!!

Her civilian personality & hobbies all seem fine to me!

Its her senshi attacks that I just need a slight clarification on more for extra information than anything else!

Can she cause the injuries herself? Or will her magic only work if she has been injured by someone else? With her attacks being based on sacrifice I can image it would work if she sacrificed her own health and cut herself before a battle to wield greater power and in that sense she is not only going in with a advantage but also a disadvantage due to blood loss.

How do you measure the degree in strength the attack gains? Is it per cup full of blood? Is there a limit to how powerful it can be? Say (hypothetically) she has lost 6 pints & is on deaths door can she cast an attack that can blow someones head off? Or like I said is there a limit or does it keep on increasing?

On that note I am assuming the power increase can only happen while the blood is flowing out of her, does the strength increase stop when the wound clots/stop bleeding? And then if she can attacked again does it start from square one or start from the power it was when the blood stopped flowing?

I have so many questions XD!! (an sorry if it seems I am over thinking this, I promise I wont try and think of anything else to ask! )

Thanks so much, Fayth and SyNy did so good!! Q__Q

What I was thinking is actually more of like how much blood has accumulated in the immediate area. Like if she slit her wrist before a fight, and there was a wound, that wouldn't increase her power but if she was in a fight and she slit a wrist so that fresh blood spilled she would get a power-up. Does that make any sense?? I can't think of a more concise way to describe it. Basically, it has to be fresh blood because I really want to make Iphigenia trade her own well-being for power. T__T;;

As for the power-up, I'm actually not sure what is a good/fair idea.

I don't think by cups/pints makes sense because how would you know in battle/how would I know OOC how many cuts she needs to lose 1 cup. I think maybe something along the lines of the four classes of bloodloss listed here.

And no, I don't think her power should ever reach the point where she can blow someone's head off with a blast haha... But other than that I'm not sure if a limit would be a good idea or what kind of sliding scale of power would be acceptable in the shop environment. I'm kind of wary to limit it because realistically, she would never be able to use the power-up to the full potential because a class IV hemorrhage would just leave her dead. But I also feel like not having a limit is just...not a great idea in a RP shop. What do you think would be a good idea?

And no, not at all!! I'm actually really happy to field these questions because it forces me to think about it more too!! Thanks so much for the feedback. QmQ!!

[ Hahaha I bet you wish you ended up with another mod here, I like to come in and mess up everyones hopes and dreams XD!

I think a limit would be good but i also think her body would be the limit, as soon as she starts to lose too much blood her body and her magic may not have the power to cast anyway so in a sense she wont be able too because she is too weak.

I think if it goes from paint ball pain to say...I dunno a large rock being slammed into someone that should be ok (I was going to say cannon ball but that would probably blow someones head off XD! ) and say every 2 cups of blood there is a power upgrade meaning she can lose maybe up to a Class II Hemorrhage - 15-30% of total blood volume before her body, maybe at her senshi and super stages cuts of her power upgrade. I think a class III hemorrhage would be cutting it too close for her to be able to survive without immediate medical attention but if you wanted that could it could be included in her super stage power and her power increases into say maybe into a cannon ball type hit...but she has the dilemma of choosing to weaken herself to such an extent that she may die......YAY FOR SACRIFICING!!!

If you are happy with that then I think that should be fine and I am more than happy to give you a big old stamp <3

No, not at all! I really like having someone to bounce ideas off of because they always bring something new. I really didn't think of these things at all until you came in and asked questions, so I really appreciate it. @v@

I was thinking the same thing re: her body as the limit. I edited the powers. I feel like a cannonball-like hit is still way too strong for the Stage III blood loss so I left it a bit ambiguous since I can't think of anything at all...

Let me know if there's anything I should fix/change!!
