Name: Nekoda "Kody" Ross
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Personality:
Hard Working- Growing up on a farm is not all fun and games. Even with six siblings, they were all raised to appreciate what a good hard days work could bring both physically and mentally knowing your work would prolong your families existence as well as help feed their country. She is not afraid to get down and get her hands dirty.
Stubborn- Being raised with so many siblings means you need to be bold, loud and be firm in your beliefs to even get anything across. Once she sets her heart to something good luck changing her mind, you might as well be talking to a brick wall.
Kind- Through all her calloused fingers and hard headed ways, she actually is a kind soul. She loves to help, and enjoys feeling like she did something good that day.
Optimistic- Grass is greener on the other side, glass is half full, Etc! She tries to be happy for herself and for others, the world needs a little more sunshine. This doesn't mean she wont ever look at things in a dark matter, more than she defaults to the 'super happy sunshine' most of the time.
In your Face- Approachable, or she will approach you. She is in no way shy, so if she wants to talk with you about something she will. Sometimes she can come off as brash.
History:
Kody grew up in a farming community, between Trost and Shiganshina. They were still a good days distance away (by horseback) but those two cities were the closest ones to their location. The farm itself was quite a large size, and was tended to by Kody, her six siblings, their father, and a few farm aids who lived with them off and on working the fields for their room and board. These days her mother was confined to the house, cleaning and cooking for their huge family.
Kody was the third born, having elder siblings to look up to and younger siblings to be bunching bags and teach the ropes. She only has one other sister, and she is the youngest at the age of 12.
The farm itself they tended was mostly for crops they sold to the cities folks. Sometimes they had someone request crops they would bring to them when ready, but usually during the summer months they had a stand to sell their wares in the shopping district. Down the road was a farm who mostly raised cattle, and a little further was one for other animals such as pork and chicken. They ended up working together, which was why they called it a community. Her family helped raise crops for their animals, and in return they received fertile soil for their plants in bucket loads. Even during the winter, when it was the hardest for them, the ranches down the road would accept their help and pay them in return. It was a system that worked well for them.
Kody's father had a passion for horses, something that he passed on to his children. When Kody wasn't helping in the fields she was usually with the horses. They bred a few horses every year, not too many to over work their beloved animals. One of the tasks was training them to be ridden and sold, or to help in the fields. She heard rumors that some of their horses even ended up in the military, but she was unsure.
Kody so far is the only one to enlist into the military, and part of her still feels bad for her selfish reasons for doing so. She wanted to get out of her farm life. While she loves her family, she has a bit of a spirit to wander and was not content staying on her farm for the remainder of her days.
