Chandra was done with it. Fed up and feeling stifled the young shifter/leaf hybrid stuck away from home for some much needed rest and relaxation. Though he loved his family, and his brother dearly it was getting to a point where it felt like no one believed he could handle himself. His brother was overbearing, as was his mother and uncle. Some days he wished he could just...disappear. Or at least have the ability to turn invisible at will. So he was stretching it. It was wonderful to feel the dry grass beneath his feet, to have the sun beating down on his back. He had taken one of Takoda's books to glimpse through, and though he had no interest in being a healer he did love learning. So book in hand he walked. Walked until he felt like his legs would buckle under his weight, sore and tired he finally took a break. Looking up, his head having been buried in the book in hand, he blinked realizing just how far that he had come. He was far from home, almost on the border of Tale...into Sauti. He could tell just by the fact the terrain was becoming more rocky, the grassing becoming patchy. Snapping the book closed he closed his eyes a moment and listened to the wind and sighed content. Alone. Finally alone. Moving he spotted a boulder and went to sit down on it. Flinching at how warm the rock was, and then noticing how pink his skin had become. Great. A sunburn. Perhaps it was his leaf heritage that got him mildly resistant to the sun's rays..but he wasn't completely safe from it. Hissing between his teeth he examined his arms and legs...yep..everywhere that had been facing the sun and that wasn't covered by clothing had gotten mildly burnt.Wonderful.

Myrsky had finally left behind his homeland of moutnains and ice.. and was now wandering a bit lost through Sauti. It was more hot here than he liked, his clothing was meant for much cooler weather... He also was uncomfortable around the villages; not only because they were filled with idiots (just like in Zena... fools and weaklings always wanting stuff from you) but because they were all dressed so scantily...hadn't these people heard of clothes? At least I've managed to figure out the flora and fauna a bit, he thought, it's not hard to feed myself. But now.... He looked around and sighed. Where exactly was this band of invaders? He wanted to observe the Obans, see if he should join the others and fight them... or if they were better and join them. they've already beaten the army once... maybe their way is better.... But he couldn't find them! He was lost, that he knew. Spotting someone in the distance he sighed. Perhaps he should ask for directions... it would be stupid to try and find his way. Much as he hated asking others for anything....

Chandra had gotten over his mild sun burn enough to vaguely ignore the tingling sensation he felt all over his skin. The book in hand opened again as he leaned back slightly so that the scraggly bush behind him could offer some sense of shade. The air was warm and stagnant and he could already feel sweat gathering at the side of his temple, dripping irritatingly down the side of his face where he used the back of his hand to wipe it off. Perhaps it was because he was the only thing moving out in the area around him, but the strange man's presence was instantly noted and he had to refrain from sighing. A person coming towards him only meant one thing...he either wanted to chat, or mug him. Though he preferred it not be the latter one, he almost would of preferred it to chatting. Almost. Maybe if he ignored him he would just walk on past. So his nose buried in the book he was reading, (this one primarily about the fauna and flora on Jahaur) he prayed that he would just keep on walking.

Myrsky, as he got closer saw the other boy was probably his age or slightly young... and was half dressed like everything else he'd seen. The reddened skin along one side made him smirk: that's why you wear clothes, so you don't get burned by the sun! He stopped a few feet away and crossed his arms. He knew the other had noticed him; even if he tried to look busy and absorbed in his reading. Myrsky had done that a lot when Obalen had chores for him to do, he knew what it looked like! "Got a minute to give directions?" He asked brusquely.

Chandra sighed, of course the young man couldn't just keep walking but at least it seemed like it was just for something as simple as asking directions. Glancing up from his book, the boys sour face was clearly written in his features. With one hand he snapped the book closed as if announcing his annoyance in this one act. Half turning to look at the...rather over dressed figure before him he wanted to make some sort of snarky comment on them but instead got straight to the point. "That depends on where you want to go....I may be able to help you." He managed forming some vague sense of politeness out of his sharp tone.

The other's sour expression made Myrsky more grumpy; it was only asking for directions! Could be worse.. I could try talking with him, he thought snakily. Maybe I should.. just to irritate him. "Towards where the fight with the Oban's was." He answered abruptly; maybe I won't linger around.. it's hot but there's still daylight left, I need to travel more before I can rest... maybe find a stream or pond to wash in while I'm at it... "Directions to a lake or stream would also be appreciated." A bath and washing my clothes, he thought... definitely need that. At least they'll dry faster here than back home. Maybe they go around half naked because they don't want to wash as many clothes...

Giving the stranger a rather odd look, if trying to irritate him was his goal was succeeding. Especially since he was asking for the ridiculous. "are you new to this area? Both things you requested are far from here...and quite a ways." He managed before giving the man another look over. "You should ditch the clothes...I can't believe how many layers your wearing." He managed with a snarky smile. Some part of him enjoyed poking fun of this fact, he was hot himself and his skin burning slightly. He should seek shade and some ointment from uncle. Getting up off the rock he had been on he sighed, "Look I was about to leave anyway to go back to my village. If you want you can accompany me. There is water there so if you wish to drink or ...bathe you will be able to."

Sighing and rolling his eyes, Myrsky responded; "Do I look like I'm from around here? And no I am not about to go wandering about half naked!" It wasn't that hot... yet. "Being hot is better than burning..." Mysrky muttered to himself. He had removed a few layers a few days back.... the burn was definitely not worth it. He wrinkled his nose at the offer to follow the boy to his village; he disliked villages in general... but a bath. Filth was much worse than having to deal with people! "I appreciate it." He said curtly, accepting the offer.

Chandra gave a look to the stranger one that kinda stated 'no duh' about the obviousness of his origins. Still he didn't say much in response there wasn't any point wasting his breath. "Half naked is better than suffocating in those layers." Chanda managed with a shrug of his shoulders. Whatever it didn't matter to him wither the guy was uncomfortable or not. He began to walk in the direction he had came, wincing slightly since his own sun burned skin stung and felt very hot now that he was directly under the rays of the sun once again. Though he was taking this person back to his village he wondered if he would be able to find some peace and quiet again...his brother was probably out snooping for him with his hordes of creatures he called pets. "What are you doing traveling around anyway?" Chandra managed, he wasn't entirely sure why he was asking beyond the fact the silence was starting to irritate him.

Myrsky ignored the comment on his layers this time; he refused to get dragged into an argument with some kid. Nevermind he was probably only a year or two older than the other and probably a child himself... Following along in silence, he kept an eye out so he knew how to get back here. He was good at memorizing landmarks and finding his way back; you had to be in Zena if you wanted to survive on your own. The question sounded rather unwilling; an effort to get rid of the silence. Silence Myrsky liked... so he waited a while before answering. "Apparently it all broaden my horizons.... but otherwise to just see the world and learn other styles of medicine and magics I guess." Not that he wanted to be out here, but Obalen would be disappointed if he returned too soon and hadn't gained in knowledge.

It probably helped that this stranger was interested in Magic, for the young man tilted his head in mild surprise, his eyes widening slightly as if he may open up to this guy but all that excitement died rather quickly as was the grumpy guys nature to not open up to others he just met. "Oh? I think broadening your horizons is rather over rated." Chandra commented with a shrug of his shoulders, "But ifyour looking for something to help with healing or magic my uncle is the one to talk to. He is a Soul Linker." Chandra managed thinking about how talented his uncle was and yet how wasted that magic was on the timid fellow. If he had magic he wouldn't let anyone boss him around or make fun of him. He would be able to protect his brother properly.

"It's... interesting. And there is stuff of use to learn out here." Myrsky said. While he didn't want to leave home.. now that he was out here he was learning new stuff so perhaps it was wroth venturing out into hotter areas. "I seek to be a Mystic... and not a healer. I do not think he will be able to teach me what I want to learn." Myrsky dismissed the other's offer; he just liked knowing herbs and uses of plants really... if he was a healer people would bother him all the time! nO, better to be a mystic and hide away in the snowfilled mountains of Zena so he wasn't bothered. What I need is an older Mystic not a Soul Linker he thought to himself. Rune magic is the path I will walk and a Soul Linkers just doesn't have the knowledge I need!

robot kitten Quote: it probably wasn't a surprise that this guys dismissive attitude irked him, alright so he dissed his uncle in his own mind. Calling his magical talent wasted on such a timid fellow but he was family...it was okay since he was his uncle right? It seemed justified to him that it was okay for him to do it but not outsiders...as one sided as that may of been. "Hey my uncle has been through two wars as a healer, and you want to find someone else? For some one trying to 'broaden their horizon' your being rather closed minded about magic." Chandra snapped, though put in the reverse position he would of defended his learning through books rather than Seeking the aid of others. Ah youth and how troublesome the could be.

"I had a healer teacher." He growled back. "One who had plenty of experience! I know it is not for me. Why have a teacher who's talents I could care less for? It would be wasteful for both of us." Guess this guys proud of his uncle... Myrsky knew if anyone insulted Obalen he'd probably bite back .But that didn't mean he would be polite! "And just cause I got told to broaden my horizons doesn't mean I have to go out of my way to do so." he rolled his eyes at the others back.
