Heaven and hell have been at war for decades, a never ending struggle for power that always ends with blood shed and sadness on both sides. Now has come the time for peace, as a new ambassador for heaven is sent down to hell to sign a treaty- a pact to end the war- for a few decades at least.

'You are to look after the Angel ambassador, ensure he is comfortable, makes it to the meetings and has everything he needs. Don't go messing things up, this is the only chance we will have to end the war for a while.' Those words rang in the males head as if he had heard them just yesterday, even though it had been almost two weeks since he started preparing for the new guest. Of course he would have been the one charged with taking care of an angel, he wasn't particularly strong and his form was closer to that of a human or an angel than most demons. He was of course a demon, but resembled the nephilim due to his wings, which he kept tucked tightly against his back and rarely showed to anyone...why? Because of the strange coloring. He had large wings which looked black when tucked against his back but they were covered in iridescent feathers that shone with teals and purples in the light, kind of like a peacocks feather but not quite as flashy. The demon ran his tongue over his lips impatiently as he stood in front of the gate that had been opened specifically to allow the angels safe passage to hell. The boy wore dark clothing- though it was far from being formal. He wore a loose shirt that allowed his wings freedom to move, baggy brown pants and quite a few different pieces of jewelry. The one leather glove on his arm covered up the elaborate tattoos that covered it. Impatiently the boy lifted a hand to run it through dark hair with strange teal streaks "He's late" He muttered under his breath, not pleased at all with his current predicament.

Meanwhile up in heaven, Dexter was lounging under a gazebo, flipping through his book as he was half way done with it. He had crumbs on his chest since he was eating snacks as he laid there enjoying his quiet time. Of course it didn't last long as three Angles approached him as they seemed to be talking about their days. They walked up and noticed him there as one looked at their watch.
"Uh...aren't you suppose to be down in hell by now?"
Dexter shut his book and glanced over at them with a confused expression. "What? It's tomorrow...I'm sure of it." He sat up and dusted the crumbs off his chest, pushing his glasses up his face...because you know...he liked wearing them, not that he needed them.
"No, it's today. You were told yesterday and therefore it's today." Another replied as they looked at one another then sat down at the table while pulling out a deck of cards.
"I'm telling you guys it's tomorrow," Dexter replied as he pulled out his calendar and opened it only to see that it was in fact today and he was already an hour late. "Oh jeez!" He stood up and scrambled about, grabbing his brief case and shoved papers he had spread out on the floor that were for the meeting that he thought was for tomorrow. He shoved all the papers into the case and closed it. He stood and rushed off, hitting his leg against end of the table they were sitting at, causing the cards to slid off and spread everywhere.
"Oh man come on!" The guys muttered in irritation as they started to pick up their cards.
"Oh boy...sorry fellas," he said while trying to pick up some cards too, hitting the back of his head on the table while standing back up. "Ow!" He put the cards down on the table while going to get more but one of them stopped him.
"It's fine just go already, you're late."
"Yes you're right! See you guys later!" He smiled and quickly ran off toward the portal that would send him to the gates of hell.
"Finally. We can all use a long break from that guy...wrecks everything...so annoying."
"Yeah, thank God he's gone...hopefully gone for a while," They all laughed and continued with their card game.
Finally Dexter arrived at the gates as he had on his white business suit along with white leather shoes. He looked around for the demon that was suppose to show him around and spotted him by the gates. He quickly rushed over to him and went to shake his hand but doing so he let go of his brief case which then landed on the demons foot.
"Sorry! Both for being late and hurting your foot," He stammered while quickly picking up his brief case and finally composing himself. He then reached out to shake the demons hand and went on to introduce himself, "I'm Dexter, the ambassador."

Nexus crossed his arms over his chest as he waited, growing more and more impatient as the minutes ticked by. So far his first impression was that the angel was irresponsible. His eyes shifted to the gate as it rippled ,well, about time. "Finally" He muttered under his breath, uncrossing his arms as he turned to face the gate fully. He watched the angel approach with a hand extended, though his gaze quickly darted to the case that fell on his foot, a hiss of breath slipping from his lips as it proved to have quite a bit of weight. "It is...quite alright." He breathed, doing his best to keep his temper under control though he was sure there was a inflection of annoyance in his tone. He didn't really like being the person to take care of the ambassador, and now it was seeming to be a more tedious task than before. He let the other shake his hand, doing so firmly. "Nexus. I will be taking care of you whilst you are here. If there is anything you feel you need, just ask." He stated simply, folding his hand behind his back to hide the flexing of his hands- he could already tell this was going to be a huge pain in the a**. "If you will please follow me then Mr. Dexter." He stated politely as he turned on his heel and started walking through the corridors, taking a few turns until they arrived in a corridor that had a much...lighter, feeling. It had been designed to make the angel feel comfortable and thus designed to resemble the heavens. He pushed a door open which lead to a large chamber- it's ceiling something like glass, completely clear and through it was the sky- the sky angels would see at least. "The ceiling was designed to make it more comfortable for you- you can control the time of day with a dial next to the bed- though it is designed to change according to the time of day in heaven so it should be on schedule. There is clothing, foods, and anything else you could want located in the rest of this room- in a few adjoining rooms." He explained, turning to look at the angel. "You may rest for the remainder of the day and meetings start tomorrow. Again I am here to care for you so if you need anything I am right across the hall. Now if there is nothing you need of me, I ask if I may take my leave."

Dexter followed the demon off to where he would be staying for however long he would have to while the meetings went on to try and get this peace treaty underway. There were a lot of other angles who were knowledgeable on how to do a treaty and what not but no one was as smart as Dexter...there was also the fact that Dexter had a secret fascination about Hell and he sort of volunteered to come here and it helped that everyone voted for him to come too. What a bunch of awesome gals and fellows they were (not knowing they did so to get him away from them).
Once inside he noticed how calm and elegant this place was. They did a very good job of trying to make it comfortable for him and to mimic the atmosphere of heaven. He was in awe as he gawked at every little thing and finally came into his bedroom as it was very big and spacious.
"Wow, you guys really know how to make a person feel welcome. This is great!" HE smiled and pushed his glasses back up to the brim of his nose while walking over ot the bed as he put his bag down along with the case.
He finally looked back to Nexus and nodded, "I shall keep that in mind. You can go if ya want." He then went on to get his book out and plopped down by the window on the comfy ledge and simply continued to read, obviously carefree about everything. Rather than working on papers and what he will say for the meeting he decided to literally rest. He tended to take a lot of things literally after all.

Nexus had to literally keep himself from yelling at the male as he wandered off and sat down to read. Was he serious? Instead of working on working on what he would say and do tomorrow he pulled out a book. Nexus cleared his throat after a moment "Perhaps, you should work on what you are going to say tomorrow Mr.Dexter. The council is...ruthless." He stated before he turned and left the room, closing the door behind him. He then walked over to a door only a few steps away on the other side of the hall, opening it up to reveal a room quite different from the room created for Dexter. It wasn't dank and scary or anything. But the room was open concept- with a balcony that stretched across the entire far wall. It color scheme consisted of deep reds, black and silver. "That man... Is infuriating" He hissed under his breath as he closed the door, lifting a hand to run his fingers through his hair as his wings relaxed and flared out- stretching to take up the space around him- almost three times larger than the male himself. "How can the elders expect me to take care of such a creature." He growled under his breath as he wandered over to his bed and sat down, his brows furrowing slightly. 'let it go Nexus... It's only for the time being. Hopefully things work themselves out quickly' Slowly he stood from his bed and wandered to the far side of the room, picking up a pan flute from a table in the middle of the room before he went and sat on the edge of the balcony. For a moment he just sat there with it, before he started to play. It was a peaceful melody, something most demons didn't really like but... Well, Nexus found it soothing. Music wasn't really something other demons seemed to like- unless you considered screams of agony music...they liked that. But then again, Nexus was a bit of a odd demon even if he had a short temper.
