Welcome to the outdoors, rookie. The elements could never be harsh enough to stop the emergence of Jake Roman, however. Fans who had tuned in last week saw a really good showing between two debuting rookies, one who was brash and one who was fan-friendly. The familiar plucks of the guitar string had made fans cheer for the undefeated kid. Perhaps after the training Aiden has been going through, Roman would face a much more prepared opponent this time around. Jake pushed the curtain out of his way and nodded to the crowd with his mask, confident as he could be. People weren't aware of all the training that Jake had been doing for these matches as well. He knew how calculated and quick Aiden could be, and now that these two were in the pros, they were heading towards their wrestling peak. Match two created two scenarios: a tied series or a clear distinction between the young guns.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ahh! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ahh! We come from the land of the ice and snow, From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow! Hammer of the Gods... "... from St. Louis, Missouri! Weighing in at two hundred seventy pounds... Jake, Roman!"
They called him the kid. But even veterans were keeping an eye on these two to see the potential rise of young talent. Sure, Covell was a cocky sonofabitch, but that wasn't what drove Jake; he wanted to be known as a winner. A hot start and a great first impression could lead him to many opportunities in this company, and it would be a dream come true for the big guy. Walking down the ramp, he slapped the extended hands of audience members. They may have liked their first encounter but Jake was much more excited about getting the chance to lead 2-0 and turn some heads. Roman slid into the ring and quickly paced to the turnbuckle across from him. In one swift motion, he removed his hood and unmasked himself, showing a bright and confident smirk on the young man's face. He felt like he was ready for Aiden's best.

Perhaps second time was the charm. A ring of the bell would have Jake walking to the center of the ring and getting a glimpse of what kind of fighter he would be dealing with tonight by extending his hand for a handshake. Maybe they could still show respect after such a hard-fought battle.

How predictable. The start of the match began and already Jake wanted to show a sign of respect for Aiden from the get go. Some handshake, huh? Oh sure. Just some handshake that'll most likely turn out to be something advantageous on Jake's part. Aiden will have nothing of it. But at the same time, what shade of Aiden will be seen, if he didn't at least have some sort of humanity or inner-Aiden left inside of him. Sure, Aiden locked eyes with Jake as his feet slowly took him to the center of the ring. Slow, methodical paced steps. He'd look down at Jake's hand, then back up at Jake, then repeat the process once more. Despite his inner judgement, despite Warner not being able to watch due to surgery Aiden suggested and convinced him to undergo to remind Aiden to be relentless, Aiden still had his inner sense of showmanship. So, he'd accept the handshake, but keep his eyes on Jake the entire time as to have the upper hand just in case a surprise strike was in order. Otherwise, Aiden would finish the handshake and step back.

The wild handshake had connected!
Jake took a few steps back himself, wiping his palms on the side of his shorts and stretching his muscles by pulling on the top turnbuckle rope. After briefly doing some of these warm-ups, Jake went to circle the ring, awaiting a mutual lock-up or whatever Aiden would try to send his way.

Oh, yes. A handshake was indeed initiated, but it didn't look as if Aiden could care regardless. If Jake wouldn't have done the handshake, Aiden wouldn't have either. Leave it to Jake to try to be the good guy in this case and put his hand out to project the extension of good luck. Ha. If there was one thing that Warner was hyping up Aiden to be this week, it was to be ruthless. Once Warner left for surgery, he left Aiden with his teachings, words of wisdom and ruthless exercise in the hands of Aiden. Warner couldn't pat Aiden on the back and b***h him out for losing if he was in a hospital recovering. But knowing Warner? He'd either order the pay per view from his hospital room or watch it at home. So the plan was simple. No taunting. No showing off. No playing to the crowd. No remorse. No regrets. No secondary thoughts. Welp, Aiden already failed that aspect showing a sense of humanity to Jake from the get-go. But what was that truly going to cost him in the long run? Nothing. Oh, yes, Aiden has humanity. Big ******** deal.
If he was going to get s**t on for breaking character just to give a worthy competitor a handshake, it would be pathetic. Sure, he wasn't supposed to show respect to his opponents. This match alone, he'd pride quite the lack of it. Anything it took to send a message to Jake Roman that Aiden was not to be taken lightly. The only thing Aiden had to worry about was that damn finisher. That s**t hurt. His neck and head was sore for days. Trips to the training staff to stretch him out, using a towel to loosen his neck muscles and multiple ice baths later, he was good. Still though, that wasn't a finisher to take lightly. Land wrong? You're ********. Plain and simple. Aiden watched as Jake now circled the ring and Aiden would reciprocate the process, but Aiden knew what he wanted. Walking to the center of the ring, Aiden would bring his hands up and motion for Jake to 'bring it' as Aiden prepared his arms for a lock-up. In his head however, he'd get cheap from the get go. Any lockup that would be made, he'd immediately attempt to kick Jake hard in the gut.

An illusion from the handshake was brought over Jake's eyes. Once again, Aiden would do something sneaky or to the crowd's disdain right after the handshake. Only the kid wouldn't see it coming as he dropped to a knee from the emphatic kick to his abdomen. Sure, Roman was a big guy, but Aiden had a bit of power packed behind his strikes. Someone who had "their back against the wall" was always going to swing much harder than the guy with the advantage. Jake had to keep this warrior away from his potential sweep, but it wasn't going to be easy, especially with the match starting in Covell's favor.

Connecting with the disrespectful kick to the stomach, Aiden saw the opportunity to capitalize on the moment as he saw fit. In this scenario, he saw Jake bending over and Aiden having already rang the first shot in the match. Aiden would think of what Warner would want him to do as far as capitalizing was concerned and rushed forward to attempt a quick knee to Jake's head. Whether it landed against Jake's cheek, chin, face, nose, side of the head, it didn't matter. Aiden was forceably told relentlessly to be ruthless and not to taunt. Not to play to the crowd. Not to entertain, but to beat the hell out of Jake. Warner himself told Aiden that he was better than him. That alone spoke volumes. Now, Aiden would have to prove it. Should the knee to Jake's head connect, Aiden would try to follow up with a rights and lefts. However, should Jake find a way to sidestep or dodge, Jake would have a thin window to capitalize unfortunately.
