Personality:
Optimistic- Having been sheltered much of her life, Andrea believes things will always be okay for her. The misfortunes of others are, well, unfortunate; but she has never really thought that those misfortunes could ever really touch her or her loved ones.

Distant- Coming from wealth but not inclined to flaunt it has left Andrea in a social limbo. Among those in her social class, she finds the general shallowness to be alienating; and as such is only as friendly as she needs to be to make good impressions and maintain civility. On the other hand, while she finds herself to enjoy the company of those less monetarily fortunate, she is often reluctant to talk about her home life for fear of alienation… Only to find that in doing so, she often achieves just that.

Diplomatic- Andrea hates social confrontation, and therefore will do almost anything to avoid it. She’ll twist words, pull strings, even manipulate to some extent just to keep those around her civil with each other. She herself is always careful to maintain a level of equivocation on any matter that has a chance of turning votile.

Introverted- Just because she is an introvert doesn’t mean she’s antisocial, however. Andrea is actually quite open to socialization and can be chatty when she’s in the mood, but human interaction leaves her mentally exhausted. She just needs some periodic down-time to re-energize herself.

Idealistic- Having been raised in the lap of virtual luxury, Andrea can afford to be idealistic. She doesn’t fully understand the motives that drive people to wish harm upon each other, and this also makes her rather naïve.

History:
A family of old money, the Tanzer clan has known little hardship of the financial or social sort… Though death has become far too fond of the family. The eighth born child, Andrea was the only of her siblings to make it past infancy; her mother suddenly passed away when she was just a toddler. Distraught, her father moved them both from Stohess to a small estate not far from Mitras. Having no other family, Stefan doted on his only child... When he wasn't trying to loose himself in his hobby, jeweling.

When Andrea was thirteen, her father remarried to a woman named Marlene; an ambitious and picky lady who had waited a little too long to marry up far on the chain and 'settled'. Though not particularly fond of her stepmother, Andrea and Marlene got along relatively well; mostly thanks to Andrea's care not to allow her disdain for the older woman show. When Andrea turned sixteen, her father wanted to buy her an apartment in Utopia... Marlene wanted to use the money to buy the largest estate the Tranzers could afford in Wall Maria.

It led to a series of arguments between the married couple, and the most stressful time of Andrea's life up to that point. Eventually, the fights were no longer about the new estate or apartment, but about anything or everything the two could think of... And after a month of her father and stepmother bickering, it was Andrea who ended it.

Marlene left, and Andrea and her father now pretend that she never existed. Having had her fill of pointless fighting, Andrea has grown to loathe any kind of verbal spar more heated than a civil debate.

Though she has now been living in the city for a year, she still often visits the place where she grew up; sometimes it seems like she visits her apartment and lives on the estate. Both Tranzers are content; though Andrea, having finished her education, is finding life a little boring.
