Noemi didn't want to be in the infirmary at all. she didn't like the people rushing in and out, checking on her and her roommates. She wanted to recover like a wounded animal that she was...in her room. Far far away.
She never wanted to leave her room again. But she couldn't find anyone willing to take her. Either too busy, or they told her that her condition wasn't stable enough for her to leave.
she was more desperate to get away then anything.Grey Dragon Text to Oliver: Oliver, is Noemi, can help me...to room? In Infirmary. Usually she wouldn't rely on others but right now, she needed Oliver's help.

Oliver was used to jumping to action the moment a new text arrived, but this was the first time he had received a text message from a girl. Jack usually got the fastest response, as it was usually coffee runs, and if the man was in need of coffee he was more likely to snap if the arrival was late. But when he saw that Noemi needed his help... The response to her was just as prompt. Showing up in the infirmary, ready to help her to her room, Oliver was idly wondering where her room actually was when he saw her. In a bed off to one side, all bandaged up like the others, and looking a hundred times more terrified. Some of the older hunters seemed to know the drill, and had resigned themselves to their fate. But Noemi looked like she was ready to bolt. It was clear her request was an unreasonable one, she was just as damaged as all the rest. Oliver wouldn't be able to take her out of the infirmary like she had hoped. He was no doctor. "Ah, Noemi?" He said softly, approaching the bedside at a gentle pace. "You sent me a text?"

"Oliver?" Noemi turned her head and tried for a smile, but it came out strained and forced. "um...I didn't have anyone else to text, and I didn't want to bother you but..."
She nervously played with her bedsheet.
"Can you help me back to my room? I....I don't wanna stay in the infirmary."

Oliver was hoping she might have changed her mind... He began to look really nervous. "I-I d-don't think th-that would be such a good idea," the kid stammered, looking down at his feet rather than at his friend. "The d-doctors need... ah... m-more time to make sure you are okay..." He managed a nervous glance to meet her eyes. "I-I know hospitals are not fun, b-but please bear with it a little while longer..."

She just stared at him.
Then she started to roll away from the bed, attempting to swing her legs over it and to touch ground.
"I don't want to be here. I do not want strangers touching me." She stifled a sound of pain, wincing at every move. "I am fine. It's okay. I can make it to my room then alone."

"Ah no! Please don't!" Oliver said, distraught as he ran to the side of the bed to keep Noemi from getting out. "I-It w-will hurt more!" He had not yet had an extended stay in the island's infirmary, but his memories of being in a hospital were always clearer than the events leading up to it. "Please, lie back down!" He pleaded. "Tell me what I can do, b-but please lie down for now! I-I'll stay here with you, please lie down..."

"I don't like the look of hospitals. I don't like the smell of them. I do not want to be here..." She was starting to sound stubborn...or desperate. "Anything but here, Take me anywhere but here Oliver." She pleaded, reaching out to grip his shoulders.
"I'm scared, I'm scared here." She shook her head, "I don't think its safe here, it's not safe here, my room...my room is the safest."

Oliver put his hands gently over hers, to let her know he wasn't going to leave her alone. "I know, it's really scary... Especially here because there are lots of strangers. B-but when you are hurt, it's good to be near someone who can help. And that's why I can't take you back. N-not yet." Somehow the timid kid brought his gaze up from his shoes, and looked right at Noemi with those pale, hazel eyes. "Can I make it safer here for you? Would you stay if I did that?"

Her hands clutched on her lap, as soon as he placed them over hers, and her eyes dropped. She didn't really want Oliver to see just how desperate she was to leave here.
"I don't know anyone here.." she mumbled, "And they have too many other patients to take care of...." She wanted to curl herself up, but just moving hurt.
"How?" She tried to get out, "how can you?" Milo had tried to protect her and both of them ended up in the hospital room, how was Oliver going to make it any safer in this room?

"Um..." Here he seemed to lose a bit of confidence, and his eyes wandered almost desperately around the room. He hadn't given it much thought at all. But he couldn't let Noemi down, right now her emotional suffering was probably just as bad, if not worse, than her physical pain. Why did getting better have to be so hard? His eyes settled on a pile of clean blankets, waiting to be put back into a linen closet. A couple low chairs. An unused IV pole. An adjustable bedside tray for mealtimes. Back to blankets. Another adjustable table. Suddenly Oliver was able to manage a real smile. "What if you had a little place all to yourself? Right here in bed?"

She almost lost confidence too, though it wasn't hard for her. She had been dragged through what her idea of was hell, then dragged back into a place she was terrified, close to hell....and really told by one of her only friends that she couldn't leave.
But his smile threw her off, and she found her stickler for hope, her eyes widening a bit as she leaned in. "You can do that? You can make me place from all the people?" She looked around.
"How do you do this?"

"I can try," Oliver said, encouraged by her hopeful expression. That is what people needed when they were hurting, a little bit of hope. "Don't worry," he said quickly, "I-I'm just going across the room." He warned her before he started to head towards the blankets. If she thought he was leaving she might panic even more, and he didn't want her getting hurt! He quickly nabbed one of the blankets off the folded pile, one of the soft, fleece-like blankets that was thin, but also quite warm. On the way back he reached out and grabbed one of the little tables. With all the materials he needed, he began looking at the bed. "Um... Are you okay sitting up?"

Noemi fell back to her bed, looking at him as he left her but not the room and then looked around. She had no idea how he was going to do what he was going to do. Even as he gathered blankets, her hope was dwindling fast.
He was shoving furniture closer to her, confusing her even more so...
"I..." She bit her lip, wincing and making another small muffled sound as she pushed herself up. "I can sit up." Which she did so.
All she did now was carefully watch the life hunter.

Oliver made a quick adjustment to the bed angle, so Noemi could comfortably recline, and still read a book, or sleep with minimal effort. "S-sorry," he muttered as he worked, knowing it would be a little painful. But then she wouldn't have to move at all. He took the blankets, and began to tuck the top half into the mattress by the girl's head. Letting them rest there, not quite touching the top of Noemi's head, he moved back and started adjusting the wheeling table. Oliver looked underneath it, and after some poking and prodding, he loosened something. That much was obvious when the top of the table began to fall downwards with a soft rasping noise, followed by a loud thunk as it was halted by the poor trainee's head. "Ow..." Oliver winced, but he wasn't done yet. He pushed the adjustable table back up to it's previous position, and then even higher. It was roughly level with the top of the inclined mattress when he screwed back in whatever it was that held it in a fixed position. Then he leaned on it. "Ah. I-I d-don't think it will fall on you," he explained sheepishly.

It was easy to say that Noemi didn't move much, after sitting up and all. She continued her curious staring at Oliver as he moved around her bed, adjusting this here and tucking things there.
At one point he disappeared under the table, a loud ow echoing up towards her and causing her to lean over the bed a bit..."Are...Are you alright Oliver?" but by then he was moving the table up higher and then leaning on it.
His sheepish explantion got a very wide eyed stare and nervous twitching of hands on her bed cover. Because of habit you see. "O...Oh?" She didn't say much else as she was slowly starting to deduce what he was doing.
She gave him a shy smile in return and waited for him to finish.
