 Town faraway from civilization that is close to the mesa verde, four corners, and monument valley. Cortez is a small village that is suited for large battles and is close enough to get supplies for half breeds on the run or for training and experimenting with their powers. The mesa verde close by would be an excellent home away from home with a old stone village nestled inside the side of the mountain.

 Axel Infernum " Well it's been five years I wonder where I should go to from here," Axel said to himself as he open the door to a bar and spoke to the bartender," Hard Cider." The bartender poured him a glass as he looked up and watched the TV, he took a swig and put the glass down and listened to the news. After he finished his drink he paid for the drink and went out of the bar into the cool night air and stretched. Axel walked down the street when he noticed someone was following him, he ducked into the alley and waited for the guy to show. The guy pulled out a gun and raised it at Axel's head and said," You must be pretty stupid, now gimme your money or I'll blow your brains out now." Axel reached for his knife slowly and grabbed the guys gun absorbing any heat and stabbed the guy in the heart. The guy tried shooting but it wouldn't fire any rounds, after the guy died Axel searched his body for any money then burned the body all down to ashes and tucked the gun away. "Poor idiot never new who you messed with," Axel mumbled to himself as he walked to the back of a building and siphoned off some of its power. He walked along the path of other buildings until he was satisfied with the amount of power he stored up.

 ஐﻬArabella - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ◢ A girl at a height of 5'8 with a dark navy blue tanktop and blue jean shorts stopped by a building.She laid her Odachi besides her and rest against the cold bricks. Her hair covered in a shade of dye green, gently swayed across her forehead. "Wind" Arabella cuffed her hands together as she breath out warm air. Her nose all red and pink, slowly turned back to it's original color. She gave a frustrated sigh as her plan to find an inn before dark was ruined. Unpacking her small sack, she reached her arm inside to grab the map of Cortez. "Damn, this thing is just confusing. What is that supposed to be... mountains?!" She threw her map out to the side of the curve. "No place to sleep in..." Slowly, she drowsed herself to sleep clutching onto her Odachi in her hands. ◤ It's time for me to leave you. - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - OoC: She cannot speak... so everything she says is within her own thoughts!! Axel Infernum Axel kept walking around when he noticed an odd curiosity, a girl sleeping with a sword. He walked up to her when he caught a whiff of her scent and smell something, wrong, Warily he unsheathed his knife with the tip against his back just incase and said," miss you don't want to be sleeping in a place like that with an expensive and dangerous item in view." Axel could feel the wrongness coming off of her and had some of the energy he absorbed readied to make a shield construct.

ஐﻬArabella - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ◢ Startled she unsheathed her sword about 3 inches apart to have waken by a man dressed in dark clothing. She cocked her sword back down to 2 inches to her side as she cautiously stand up from her resting spot. Axel Infernum "Hello, can you speak English," Axel asked wearily as she jumped up with her sword about to slide out of its sheath. He pricked his skin almost but not enough to draw blood, getting ready to change at a moments notice. He put more energy to his palm for the shield, judging by the movements she made with her sword and stance she's in.

ஐﻬArabella - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ◢ Quickly analyzing, drawing raw data, and processing her current environment, she hesitantly nodded at his question. The atmosphere around them was stiff and stale. The cold breeze brushed passed her cheek as a single bead of sweat formed on her eyebrow. She didn't want to cause a ruckus so early on in her journey even on her restless night. Arabella made a risky move and slowly sheathed her sword, but still holding onto it. Even if her opponent were to made a rash move on her. She should still be able to protect herself in time. With one hand free, she slowly moved down to her small sack with quick glances back and forth keeping an eye on him. She could not speak, nor can she even try to make hand symbols without her other hand glued to her sword. Axel Infernum Axel nodded at what she was doing and slowly brought up his knife limply between his thumb and forefinger. He put more energy into his hand to project his shield out to push her away. " I won't make a move if you don't make a move," Axel said calmly.

She reached into her back and pulled out a sketch pad with a string wrapped around the pencil tightly tied into a knot on the spiral. She glanced up at him, and begin to write, "How do you do? I'm cold. Is there somewhere warm to go to?" Totally misses the part, "I can't speak.", Arabell just gave a blunt reply. Axel Infernum Axel sheathed his knife and took off his coat and put it around her shoulders and said," follow me lemme get you a drink," he gently put his arm around her shoulders and led her to the bar. " Hey barkeep, two glasses of water and something hot for the lady," Axel said as the barkeeper filled two glasses of water and prepared a bowl of stew. " So tell me about yourself, I know that you're not from around here, if you catch my drift," Axel said in a low voice when the barkeep set the bowl down.

ஐﻬArabella - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ◢ Having to been taking to the bar, a breath of warm air welcomes her as she stepped inside. She and the Stranger sat down by the counter and ordered. She notice his attitude is very brask and straight-forward as he immediately questions her as if he was a cop and she was the corporate perpetrator. She gave a big sigh, but thought over it once... "Well at least he's paying....right?" She got her sketch pad out and begin writing, "Name's Arabeth. I'm just traveling around and this just so happens to be my first stop." Axel Infernum " Interesting, my name is Axel," Axel said as he touched the steaming bowl of stew turning it lukewarm," now forgive if I'm nervous but I can smell what you're not." He used the energy he absorbed and heated the bowl up to when it's just steaming.

ஐﻬArabella - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ◢ With a few sips she tilted her head slightly in confusion, "Smell? Are you some kind of a dog?" But of course she didn't say this straight to his face. "What do you mean you can smell? Do I stink?" On the very next page of her sketch book she drew a big question mark. Axel Infernum " I can smell that you're not human," Axel said getting angrier," and don't try playing coy, either, are you here to kill me or not." He found a wall socket next to him and made a small absorption sphere and pressed it inside the socket and started to absorb the energy causing the lights to dim and flicker. The excess energy was getting him angrier and a bit drunk and high.
