She was hungry, and the food that they were giving the fighters weren't to her liking. The earthlings just didn't cook things to her liking, and pretty much none of her sisters were there cooking. They had more important things to do, leave it to the Earthlings who didn't really know how to do anything else. Not that she looked down upon them for it or anything, it was just if you weren't going to do anything more than cook than you should at least be better at it. They could take a few lessons from the elders of her tribe, but she wouldn't say anything. If the Earthlings wanted to keep eating their bland food than she would let them, she just wasn't going to eat it. Instead she was going to go and look for a maglardilla, or two, to cook up for her and her sisters. If she had a few than she could make some for everyone, but all that she really cared about was her closest sisters. As long as she got enough to feed four she would be fine. Two would be preferable, but if she could get one big one than she would be good also.
Briella jumped from tree to tree, her blades ready to strike as soon as she saw one. As luck would have it she happened upon two of them resting in a tree. Normally they were in packs of five or more, but she was happy with two. They were really big so she was sure that they had enough meat on them to eat. She launched herself at them, swiping with her blades as hard as she could. One of them got away, much faster than her blades could move, but she wasn't worried because the bigger of the two dropped to the ground right away. She yelped in glee as she climbed to the floor. So this one was pretty big, so she was happy. She chopped up the maglardilla and headed back to the camp. It wasn't huge, but at the same time it would do for what she needed it for. She kept the shell to give to Dyakida, although to her it was useless she was sure that her friend could find some kind of use for it. Once she was there she quickly started to make a soup with spices and herbs that she had brought with her.
She let it simmer for a while, giving any Earthling that dared to inquire about it a glare and an answer that would make them leave. This wasn't for them, this was for her sisters and her sisters alone. She had enough of their food, and wasn't about to let them taste hers. When it was done she headed of to round up Kaa, Dya, Ilyra and Kadriye. She was sure that the four of them would be very pleased with the soup, after all a taste of home was always welcomed during war time.
