Winter seemed to finally be gone and spring was in full swing, the temperature rising as the land got ready for the hot days of summer. And Azure Nightshade was enjoying it all, making her way towards the beach, clad in her dark robe and a small smile on her face. Her cat tail swished back and forth, trying not to give into the urge to just rush, knowing Edwin would either already be there or she would beat him there. Either way, today would probably be alot of fun for them both.

Edwin had promised Azure that as soon as Winter was over and it started to get warmer, he would take her to the beach. It was because of this, he was already there, setting up a large blanket after putting down a cooler full of food and drinks. He had donned some shorts and a white t-shirt, instead of his normal garb, knowing it would get rather hot. After finishing setting up, he sat himself on one of the blanket and waited for his Kitten to show up, tail swaying softly from side to side.

Azure knew she had arrived when the faint scent of salt hit her nose and the waves of the ocean reached her ears. She sped up her walk to a trot, finally breaking out from the foresty road and arriving where the grass started to give way to the soft sand. Spying Edwin, a smile instantly lit up her face and she cupped her hands around her mouth and called out "Edwin!!", raising up a hand and waving it, the large portion of her sleeve swishing about in the air.

As he waited for Azure to show up, he leaned back on his hands and watched the waves crash against the sand. His ears flicked lightly when he heard his name called behind him. The voice sounded familiar, but to be sure, he turned around and smiled when he saw his curvy kitty. With that, he got up and waved back to her before heading toward her.

She let her arm fall to the side and she made her way towards him, her feet sinking a bit into the sand, but that didn't stop her momentum and when she was close enough, she jumped him in a hug, lips pressing against his in a purr.

Edwin stopped and caught her in his arms when she jumped to him and hugged him. Wrapping his arms around her, he returned the kiss softly before lowering her back onto the sand and pulling away from the kiss. "Hey Kitten. Did you get here alright?" He asked, turning to lead her to the blanket.

She smiled when the kiss ended, nodding her head as he lead her over to the blanket, "Yea, I wasn't sure if I was going to be early or late, but I figured you would beat me here since you get up with the sun." she said a bit teasingly, already starting to feel a bit overheated in her robe.

He chuckled at her attempt to tease him. "At least I'm not a lazy little kitty and cat napping whenever the opportunity arises." He teased as well. After a bit longer, he lead her to the blanket and allowed her to sit down before he did. Once down, he looked to her and what she was wearing. "Although nicely revealing, why did you wear your robe? You'll be cooking in those dark colors.

She poked at his side when he teased at her, "I don't nap all the time, I do like to get up and do stuff!" she huffed, wiggling her feet when she was finally on the blanket. When asked why she still had her robe on, she smirked, "Oh, I didn't feel like wearing anything else on top of this." she said, and with a shrug of her shoulders, she let her robe slip off, revealing the two piece bikini she had hidden under it. It was blue, like her hair, the top strapless and little ribbons on the sides of her hips. Sitting down, she folded her robe up so sand wouldn't get all over it.

He swatted her hand away, chuckling, when she poked at him. "Uh-huh, you keep telling yourself that. I watch you on our days off." He continued to tease, smiling widely at her. When she explained about her robe, he was going to say something else, but just watched wide-eyed as she removed the robe and revealed the two piece she was wearing underneath. He smirked at the sight of her and teased, "I don't think we'll ever come to the beach again."

She huffed at him as she sat back, "And why not? This place seems like it would be alot of fun!" she said, poking at his arm lightly. She then reached into the little bag she and brought along and pulled out a ribbon to tie her hair back, though a few curly strands stayed around her face.

When she huffed at him, he leaned in close, tail flicking lightly. Near her ear, he whispered, "I don't want anyone else to look at that lovely body of yours." When he was done saying what he had to say, he pulled away from her and pulled the cooler closer to him. "You want a drink or a sandwich?" He asked, "or would you rather go swimming first?"

She blushed when he whispered that, but huffed and let her tail whap at his back, "I don't see why you have to worry, they may look, but you're the only one that can touch. And I thought you weren't supposed to eat before you go swimming."

"Hmph... maybe I don't want them doing either?!" He said with a playful pout, swatting her tail away. He opened the cooler to check that none of the melting ice got into the packages that the sandwiches were held in. "That's why I asked if you preferred to go swimming before we eat." He replied, looking back to her when everything seemed alright.

"Hmmmm...I guess we can try swimming first, that way we can work up an appetite!" she said, standing up and stretching her arms up. Dropping them down, she chuckled and stole his hat, running towards the water with it.
