                          Rorsh the Espeon
                          _______________
                                Rorsh was Evangeline's first pokemon. She has had him since she was ten years old. He got his name from the test she was interested in growing up because the subtle colors in his fur as Eevee kind of reminded her of the inkblot test. He's quiet just as she is, with a deep whisper of a voice both mentally and physically. Rorsh first evolved on the morning of Evangeline's thirteenth birthday. It was one of the only days that Evangeline took off of school and training - just so she could get used to the tingle of him (as he was the psychic evolutionary form) in her mind. Rorsh has a seemingly random love of onions of all kinds.


                          Nox the Umbreon
                          _______________
                                Nox was her second Pokemon. She got him (as an Eevee) for a present from her family after they found out her Eevee had evolved into an Espeon. He evolved, two years later, when she got lost in the small but complicated cave systems and sat down as the family turned off the dim lights that lit up the place, because it was time for everyone to go to sleep. One of the things that scared her the most at the time was absolute darkness. trying to comfort her, Nox evolved and his glowing marks led them out of the cave. He earned his nickname that night and is, by far, still her most affectionate and aggressive Pokemon.



                          Ember the Flareon
                          _______________
                                Ember was her third Pokemon. Unlike the two before him, she actually got him already evolved. He was given to her when she was sixteen as a challenge by her parents. After seeing how her other two Eevees had evolved, they wanted to see if she could not only balance three Pokemon at a time but deal with the Flareon's high maintenance attitude.It took her a while but she got the picky Flareon to warm up to her. He has a commanding tone to his voice and rushes quick into different emotional states. The first time he showed he loved Evangeline was when she burned her hand making smores for the Pokemon because the wood cracked sending up spark. He licked her hand and she kept praising him on how he helped with the embers until that name just stuck with him.


                          Alek the Jolteon
                          _______________
                                Alek was her forth Pokemon. She got him as an Eevee from the family as a present for her graduation. He was born and bred by the family. She raised him as a baby and found that he displayed an unusual sense of humor. It is also one of her most intelligent pokemon and quickly earned the nickname Smart-Alec which got turned into his permanent name of Alek. He was the first pokemon that Evengeline ever actually evolved, after offering him the choice. This was because the thunder stone was her first trade-payment she got from a miner who wanted her to raise his Raticate to a strong enough level to withstand rock type moves. Alek accepted the stone and turned into a Jolteon who's body was just as quick as his wit.


                          Flora the Leafeon
                          _______________
                                Flora was her first female Eevee, although that is actually debatable. She found her and her (presumably) younger sister at the edge of the lake, beaten up. Flora was trying to drag her more beaten up sister (Marina) from the lake. Evangeline used Rorsh to help pull them to safety. When they sat down on the moss covered bolder, trying to help the poor Eevee's dry out and heal, Flora evolved into a Leafeon and gained her name all at the same time. Maybe it's because of her early experience but Flora is, by far, the most passionate, nurturing, and stubborn Pokemon that Evangeline has ever met.


                          Marina the Vaporeon
                          _______________
                                She is actually her youngest Pokemon. She was Evangeline's second (arguably) female Eevee. She was the last Pokemon to fill Evangeline's six personal Pokemon slots. Marina was found with her (presumably) older sister Flora. When they were both young Eevees, Flora was trying to pull the Marina to shore after they were badly beaten up (by what or who, Evangeline still has no idea as they refuse to let her know). Marina was already passed out when Evangeline and Rorsh helped settle them on a rock. By the time she awoke her sister was evolved into Flora. It took years for Evangeline to help Marina through her fear of water so it was a surprise that when Evangeline received a water stone as payment, that Marina walked up and touched the stone. Her sudden decision to evolve into an element type that she'd been frighten of for so many years earned her the name of Marina - from the sea.

                                Evangeline is quiet, quick-witted and self-assured. She is intuitive to other’s emotions and physical states. She has a slight uncanny way to make people feel at home. She is just as passionate about the health of pokemon as any Nurse Joy, she’s just much quieter. She doesn’t handle fools very well. And the only way to know when she thinks you’re being foolish is when she stops interacting with you all together.

                                Her family is both from direct bloodline and those that married in. They also are known to take on apprentices, though as they expect a 10 year commitment of rigorous training and study not many people make it through their "program".

                                Once spending 10 years studying and training, members of this pokemon breeding ranch are expected to pick one type they specialize in. This is the type of Pokemon they breed and help raise for others.

                          Evangeline’s family is from an exclusive Pokémon breeding family from the Hoenn region. They own a ranch at the end of route 119, east of the Ancient Tomb and west of the Desert ruins at the tip of the lake leading to the estuary. The Linaré family would seem to take on a lot of Pokémon at one time but they are actually very selective. They take on clients based on both the Pokémon someone wishes them to raise because of availability of breeders. You see, each member of the Linaré family that takes up the business eventually specializes in a classification of Pokémon by educating themselves and training growing up. The second factor economic stability as it’s economically taxing to raise Pokémon the way they do. These fees are on top of the quarterly salary the breeder expects to receive.

                          Evangeline was no different, not in that sense. She was different only in the sense that she displayed very minor psychic abilities – she unconciously uses it to empathizes and communicate with Pokémon on a deeper level than language. As she never talked about it, she never receive any formal education to expand on the ability and she never plans to.

                          Her training began when she was ten years old. Since the age of ten she started her training. She was given an egg by her mother and had to take care of it while going to school and learning about Pokémon. After school, she would train for three hours for a span of six months with each type group and head person to learn the different Pokémon and their types. Evangeline learned standard Pokémon maintenance (what types of food, herbs, and exercises helped certain Pokémon), breeding properties (fertility, capability, and the like) as well as egg care.

                          It wasn't long into her training when her first Pokémon hatched - the Eevee who would later be known as Rorsh. After spending 3 years raising him and loving him, Evangeline witnessed him evolve into an Espeon all on his own. It was on the morning of her thirteenth birthday. And it was the only day she ever took off from school and work just so she could get used to her psychic Pokémon’s voice in her head while she spent the day with him.

                          When her parents found out, they were very surprised. A week later she received another Eevee from them to raise as she continued with her training. This Eevee would later be known as Nox. He was much more aggressively protective than Rorsh but he was also more obvious in his affection as well. After only two years of having him, Evangeline got to witness him evolve on his own too. it happened when she was studying rock type Pokémon on her family ranch. She had stayed too long in the caves by accident as she had gotten lost. At that point in time her greatest fear was pitch darkness so when the tunnel lights had been flipped off for the night, Evangeline had curled into a ball on the floor trying to ride it out. When she couldn’t control her fear (all the sounds got to her), Nox evolved into an Umbreon and lead her out of the cave with his glow - earning his night based name.

                          Her parents found her on the outside of the cave, collapsed with relief surrounded by not only the Espeon they knew she had but by the newly evolved Nox. To say that was a bit of a surprise and a point of pride to them was putting it mildly. Except this time she wasn’t rewarded so much as challenged. When she passed her fire type training, she was challenged to raise a willful Flareon. One that she had helped breed and hatch, watching as her family evolved him early with a stone. He had a dramatic personality with some narcissistic tendencies. And as a fifteen year old girl, she didn’t exactly have the vote of confidence that more experienced (“graduated”) breeders would have been given.

                          It took her a year but she finally got the drama king of a Pokémon to become attached to her. One of the marking stones of his attachment was when she burned herself cooking them a treat over an open flame. One of the embers sparked when she was roasting a marshmallow. She drew her hand back quick enough but not quick enough to avoid the full spark. And instead of eating the extended marshmallow, the Flareon who would be known as Ember after that night licked her burn. He might have walked off with his treat as though nothing had happened but that was still the night she gave him his name and remembered as the night he actually became her Pokémon through and through.

                          A few years later and her nine years of training finally came to an end. After that, there was a year where she had to switch back and forth between all the types as she tried to decide which type she wanted to spend her life helping to raise. When she turned twenty instead of picking one of the established 18 types, Evangeline decided to create an informal one of her own. Her favorite Pokémon, Eevee and its evolved forms, obviously influenced her choice. She considers her range of expertise Mammalian Pokémon – specifically canine or feline like Pokémon.

                          When she had picked her parents surprised her with yet another Eevee. This one was more playful than the others with what would seem like more of a mean streak. She soon found out it was actually just a type of humor that tended to come at other’s expense, though he never seemed to want to really hurt anyone. He just had a lot more need to be entertained than the others.

                          Evangeline tried to overcome the lack of confidence in her skills from potential clients by allowing them to spend a day with her and her Pokémon. She also accepting trades for reduced fees, or in some cases waived fees entirely for certain duration if the good they brought was valuable enough to her. She accepted anything from crop share, imported rare goods, stones or special items, all the way to rare Pokémon within her expertise (such as Eevee for example).

                          One of the first items she’d gotten in trade was a Thunder Stone. It was from a mountain hiker who wanted her to raise his Raticate to be strong enough to help him against wild, aggressive rock type Pokémon. She didn’t even have it for a day before Alek (who’d gotten his name for his quick wit and sense of humor), her unevolved Eevee, found the stone. Thinking that it was just another toy he picked it up...promptly turning into a Jolteon. The name Alek, sounding close to electricity, seemed to be even more of a fit for him.

                          She spent the next five years raising and learning more about Pokémon as she finally taking on her own clients. She did well, exceedingly so. She raised and bred many pokemon in those years though she never bred any of her own personal one - she let them make that decision on their own. If they fell in love and wanted children she would have let them...but it never happened.

                          Three years into this time, when she and Rorsh were taking a walk by the water, Evangeline found the last two Pokémon to complete her set of six. They were two Eevee sisters who’d been hurt in the wild. To this day she still doesn’t know by what or who. All she knows is that she found the eldest (though probably not by more than a few minutes to be honest) female dragging the younger, smaller female out of the water. Or at least trying to.

                          She and Rorsh helped them to shore and helped get the excess water out of their lungs. As they lay on a sun warmed stone by the water, the eldest Eevee evolved. Straight into a Leafeon and earned her name Flora as soon as Evangeline found her sneaking out to sleep amongst the flower garden that night.

                          Her last Eevee, however, refused to leave either Evangeline’s or Flora’s side for more than two minutes at a time. And she especially refused if there was any water involved. It took a year and a half years for Evangeline to help the youngest Eevee cope with the water. Which would explain the absolute shock that everyone received when the little Pokémon walked right up to a water stone that a retiring gym leader gifted to Evangeline, evolving herself into a Vaporeon. This unexpected act earned her the name of Marina - from the sea.

                                      Evangeline practically grew up with him. They trained together and learned from one another over the years. As Stiles always seemed more interested in the research than taking care of himself, Evangeline got used to taking care of him too. Lucky the Lugia is a bonus in their relationship because he's a sweetheart - just a secret one.
