Spiderkit was currently sitting in the shade of a large tree, waiting where he was supposed to be meeting his friends Mothkit and Rowankit. They were all going on an adventure to explore and it had taken some sneaking around to be able to get out of the watchful eyes of older clan mates. He was expecting the two girls to be along soon but his patience was wearing thin. His ears flicked when the grass rustled, thinking that his friends were arriving. "Finally. What took you so long?"

Rowankit was actually just a few tail lengths above Spiderkit, balanced on one of the tree's lower branches as she stared down at her friend. She had arrived many minutes before him. Leaders always arrived first, after all. Her whiskers twitched in amusement, blue eyes twinkling with mirth. While the rustling grass kept his attention Rowankit climbed quietly down the trunk of the tree and threw herself at the black and white tom as soon as her feet touched the ground. She wrestled him to the ground and pinned him. "Gotcha. Don't let your guard down, Spiderkit." She stared down at him with a triumphant gaze for a moment, before rolling off of him and glancing around to see if Mothkit was here. Their group wasn't complete without the friendly she-cat.

She was the slowest one in the group, that was for sure. She was terrified of being caught by one of the older cats in their clan, but the thrill of the adventure... Ah! She couldn't resist it! "Sorry I took so long..! I just knew they'd hear me if I didn't wait until they were snoring..." Blinking in the darkness at her dear friends Spiderkit and Rowankit, her tail rose and flicked eagerly. "So who's gonna take the lead? I just wanna know what's inside the den... Do you think there'll be a way to talk to Starclan in there? I wonder if I can talk to my momma!" The kit practically bristled with excitement, moving to rub up against Spiderkit's side and bumping foreheads with Rowankit.

Spiderkit flinched when Rowankit jumped on him, seemingly from out of nowhere. He hadn't noticed her at all in the tree before he had arrived but he instinctively batted her away, fur ruffled a bit from the tussle. The black and white kitten didn't like surprises and he grunted in response to her playful warning. "Maybe you shouldn't pounce on your friends." He wasn't genuinely angry with her, but his tone seemed a bit snappy. When Mothkit came to join them he brushed his flank against hers before speaking again. "I'll take the rear. I don't know if Starclan can hear us from there, but we'll just have to see for ourselves."

"Hey Mothkit! You took awhile. Spiderkit was getting antsy." Rowankit let out a soft mrow of laughter before she puffed herself up, trying to appear as big and important as possible and put on a serious face. "I'll take the lead of course. I'm going to be leader one day, after all." She strutted to the front of the line, brushing her tail along Spiderkit's back along the way in a sort of apology. After taking the lead she glanced over her shoulder. "We must be quiet getting into the den. After that our only problem will be sneaking out without drawing anyone's attention. Our leader went out early to hunt or something." she whispered.

"A-Antsy? I'm sorry" The kit apologized, her ears flattening a bit as she realized she had possibly made them upset with her, but when Rowankit spoke up ahead, everything seemed to be fine between them, thankfully. Mothkit took her place between the two of her friends, glancing back at Spiderkit to make sure he was still following them as Rowankit lead them up to the mouth of the den, the little she-cat's eyes growing wide with wonder. She was starting to get anxious... But before she could begin to protest again, the first kitten was walking into the den, and Mothkit was following without a word. It was darker in here than it was outside, and truth be told the ball of fur had a little trouble seeing, but so long as her companions were by her side, she knew she would be alright. Dropping back to stride with Spiderkit, the little female whispered, her whiskers twitching up against his. "If we're going to look for a way to talk to Starclan... How do we find it..?" Spiderkit was smart. He should know what they were looking for. Right?
