Kitara Elvini walks through a forest on a beaten path. It is a casual walk that she is taking, close to her home. She watches her friend, Jay the bluejay, flit from branch to branch as she walks to a close village. Her uncle had asked her to get something from the next door village's market and she is doing as she is told.

Darian Moonleaf walks along the path, his head down, tears dripping from his eyes. He does not see Kitara and walks right into her. "Sorry," he says, looking up, "Kitara?"

She had been talking to Jay for a while before the blue-haired male elf bumped into her. She stepped back to gain her ground before noticing who the elf is.
"Darian! Oh my goodness! Dear cousin, how are you doing," she exclaims excitedly giving him a hug, "It's been such a long while since I've seen you!"

"A long time?" Darian replies, slightly confused,"It's only been about five years." This would seem like a long time to a human, he knew, but to an elf it should not seem so long.

"Only five years? ...what do you mean?" she asks, becoming confused thinking that it had been about twenty years or there abouts.
She pulls back, noting that he is sad, "What's wrong, cousin?"

"I have found someone I love deeply," Darian replies, "But the last time I saw her was only a few months after I came to our village. You don't seem to remember the day I came to our village, although it was only briefly that we saw each other so it should not be all that surprising. I miss her so much. I wish I had stayed, but there is still so much that is unclear to me. I remember you saying something about the blade that wounded me altering my memories. What did you mean by that?"

Kitara Elvini freezes to hear that he had found someone and that he is hurt because they had to part ways. So that's what his reason was....
She, standing a few feet away from her cousin, stretches her arms before saying, "It was that elvish-Mystic man that said something about it, not I. ...or don't you recall the last journey we had together after you had been stabbed?"

"I vaguely recall it," Darian replies, "It is a little fuzzy however." Suddenly he is overwhelmed with pain in his left shoulder. He sinks to the ground, holding it tightly, groaning in pain.

The navy-blue haired elf kneels quickly beside him. She places a hand on his hand and shoulder, whispering something softly. It is an elvish pain-relieving chant that she has recently learned. She hopes it works some before she turns to Jay.
"Go and get his father," she says to her bluejay friend in his tongue, "We may need his help."
((Ooc: Hey, do you want to play your father and/or your mother? It might be easier for you if you have an idea about them.))

Darian curses under his breath. "Lael's herbs worked for a few years," he says painfully, "Unfortunatly the pain came back with a vengence."
(OOC:I haven't really thought of anything either. You'd think I would have prepared since your other character will be meeting Darian's parents eventually.)

Jay had gone off to the village, but he quickly returns. He lands by the two elves who are kneeling in the path and says something to the lady elf.
"Looks like your parents can't come right now..." Kitara sighs, keeping her hand on his shoulder and hand, "What can I do, Darian, to help?"
((Ooc: Okay. It's up to you. I'll let you think about it a bit longer, as I figure out Margem's parents {whom you'll/you've meet/met in the Wanderers thread}.))

She bites her tongue gently as she tries to think of something, "I can't think of anything that may help...."
Jay chirps up something, fluttering to Darian's lap.
"Agreed," she says to Jay before saying sadly to her cousin, "I guess we'll just have to stay here for a bit while you deal with it. I wish there was something I could do..."
