Al was starting to feel better now that he had a grasp on who he was and was accepting it. He was well enough now he was up and eating like a horse. Wait, no, a dragon. Ferocious and snarly and ready to woof down every scrap on his tray and that was piled on with anything that took his fancy in the heat of the moment (a lot). He tried to find a spot to sit when he noticed a familiar hairdo. "Otto!" He cheered.

Maybe living as a hermit hadn't been so bad. He'd still gotten bothered by friends, but there was one boy he'd been able to avoid. Until ******** icy blue eyes glared up as Al approached. Why was the twerp still around? Otto's prickly personality didn't seem to phase the kid. The teen rolled said eyes in an obvious fashion, letting his sandwich drop onto his tray. "Whaddya want?" He grumbled, worried the boy wanted to sit with him.

Al giddily set his tray next to Otto's. Like. Right on it. The edges were kissing, even. "Hey man! I haven't seen you in a while." Sorry Otto, but the tray came with the kid and he followed suit by sitting right next to you.
"That looks good," he commented on Otto's sandwich.

Worst fears confirmed. Shutting down main brain functions. Reverting to minimal survival mode. "Yeaaaaah." Otto replied unhappily, shifting his tray an inch away from Al's. And then himself an inch further away from Al. "Yeah, it tastes like.... a sandwich." He replied in a monotone enthusiasm. Normally he'd eat food prepared by Kostya, but going all the way to his room between shifts was a pain. And he kinda needed to apologize to the guy before he ate his food again.

Al slid his tray closer to Ottos, must have accidentally bumped it the first time! "What kind is it?" He inquired before shoveling some of his own food in his mouth.
This at least distracted him.

Should he be blunt? He should be. He was blunt and nasty with a lot of people, rarely bothering to spare their feelings. Tenya giggled, suggesting perhaps that Otto enjoyed the attention of having a fan. Otto mentally protested it. The whole debacle was the result of Otto not wanting to eat his lunch all by himself. But he'd hoped it meant he didn't have to actually talk to anyone. A fool's bet. He should have known better than to be out in public. "A BLT." He growled, grabbing the sandwich and standing up. Maybe if he stormed off, it'd look like he was busy and the kid would take the hint. < >
No, I just don't wanna deal with him crying and making a scene.

Al watched Otto stand with large curious eyes. "Prefer eating while standing? That's pretty cool too." He was smiling ear to ear still. "I'm trying to get fuel for battle," he was clearly referring to the mess on his tray that prevented him from "standing to eat" too. "You wanna spar after this man? I bet you'd totally kick my a**!"

Otto didn't dignify that with an answer, fully intending to walk away and let the dweeb talk to himself. The proposition of kicking his a** was promising. However, with the key in his hand, he knew his full power was compromised. But he was a Sun now. He'd best learn to work past it. "Fine. Eat fast, or I'll leave without you." He had until Otto finished his BLT.

At that threat, Al's pace was ramped up and focus turned to all the choice items. He can have veggies another day. It took him a while, but eventually his tank switch flipped to 'full' and he rose up and spun around at Otto, " ready!"

"Alright, fine. Let's go." Otto drawled unhappily, dragging his feet to the training fields. If he was going to spend time with this kid, at least he'd get to hit him. Well, he could hit him anyway, but this way was less frowned upon. Otto summoned Tenya in all six feet of her metallic boomerang glory. HP: 50/50 (Key Cancer Handicap)

Al scurried after Otto as if he'd lose sight of him at any moment and then would just be gone. This probably wasn't much further from the truth.
On the field again in what felt like forever. Otto had summoned Tenya.
"Holy crap, your weapon is awesome!" He shouted across the battlefield.
He summoned his own weapon immediately after. He still was very proud of Nuru, despite his far smaller stature. Nuru was notably shorter than Al even. But he still had awesome teeth okay.
Nuru grumbled in annoyance and urged his hunter to be careful.

Al charged in first, Nuru swinging out towards Otto like he was a pinata full of gold. It connected, much to Al's amazement and Nuru got that first taste of fear.

Otto waited, bracing for the hit Al came at him with. He was close now, close enough that if he hit him right, he might knock the guy across the yard. However, his bond with Tenya was still handicapped. The key caused some sort of interference as usual. Regardless, he hit the other hunter straight across the ribs with the edges of Tenya's form. Al recoiled with surprise as the swing connected against the area of his ribs. He could almost feel the force rattling each individual bone, but he was nowhere near down and out yet. He swung Nuru out again as his entire body rotated into a spin to evade and gain some distance. The idea was to get just far enough Tenya couldn't reach him close-range.
Good plan. Nuru agreed while silently urging Al to run faster.

Running was useless. Tenya was, after all, a boomerang.
Otto let him run. He made no move to chase. The teen simply let Tenya spin above his head, until he was far enough. Otto grunted as he hurled the giant weapon into the air, letting it find Al herself.
Tenya clipped Al in the back of the head before returning to her master.
