A hundred and fifty years from now a bridge separates men and woman from living together. Woman live east of this bridge and men to the west. Many years before this was adapted world wide each country ran it's own experiments in setting up small communities where only one gender lived. After continuous success it was unanimously decided by the world leaders to build two separate societies. One made up of purely men and purely woman. By this time there is so much advancement in genetics and medicine that population control has been established. As well as genetically selecting embryos in which no health major health issues will occur. This also meaning no unisex babies could be born.
When a man or woman is ready to have a child they must pass a series of tests in order to gain the right to be a parent. Once these tests have been passed the man or woman's genetics are looked over and matched with ones with a member of the opposite sex. The man and woman who have been matched together have their egg and sperm taken for fertilization.Two eggs are selected and fertilized with the genders being predetermined as one girl and one boy.The woman is implanted with the eggs and carries them to term. Once she gives birth she is given the female child and the man is given the male.
If both the matched man and woman decide to have more children they repeat the testing process though the matching phase is skipped as a match has already be selected the first time around.If one of them fails any of the testing then they both are denied and may try again in one year. If they both pass then they continue the process. Though their is a limitation set to how many children each parent or match may have.
After a hundred and fifty year of medical advancement suddenly woman who become pregnant have soon after lost the child. The reason? Unknown. Ar first the rate of miscarriage was low and rare but now it would hit an all time high. Most woman can't even get pregnant any more. After a few years of research into the past to try and find an answer to their fertility they found little but had a theory. Artificial insemination vs Natural Procreation. Would the old ways save the human race?
Once again they decide to experiment, this time though to see if cohabitation is possible again is the key to successfully producing babies. Quietly they tested their population to find those who had a strong and lasting curiosity towards The Bridge. These would be the ones they send to an island constructed for this specific sort of experimentation. Six males and Six females all having one distinct quality of the seven deadly sins and seven heavenly virtues. Besides these twelve there are two overseers, one of each gender that are only seen from time to time.

▐ This is a role play I have been working on and off for at least a year or more. Its not quite finished but lately I have had a spark of inspiration so I've revamped it and worked on it a bit.
Basically men and woman have lived separately for over a hundred years and because of lack of fertility the government have decided to set up an experiment to see if can be fixed through natural meaning instead of the usual artificial insemination.

My only real concern with this would be that it's an rp specifically with "procreation" in mind. That topic in many ways is unsuitable for Gaia and younger audiences. Now, if this rp had procreation as an underlying theme, but had a more apparent overlying theme that could really be used for the basis of the rp, then it would be easy to go along with the rp and just skip the procreation scenes and suggestive dialog to focus on the more innocent theme of the rp. I would recommend trying to come up with this alternative theme for the rp, then let us know when you do so we can re-examine it.

It's more about the social interactions between two groups of people that know nothing of each other and are meeting each other for the first time, not to mention will be living on a island together for who knows how long. The baby making really doesn't come into play at all.

Sounds like it would revolve around romance, drama, and a bit of suspense! Interesting topic for a roleplay, should it be implemented. smile Might be a little tough to find people to join though, since action is a big favored genre around here (Gaia)
