Suhuba
Alrighty then. Well it's a little complicated with so many beasts and battlers, but what it comes down to is there are only 8 birds to beat, so there can only be 8 wins total. Between all three of the charas, all 8 happened to be defeated by one person or another. In the case that more than one rolled a winning roll, the one with the highest roll gets the win and then whatever ones they didn't beat themselves they get 75% of the winning exp for them since in this case all 8 were defeated.

EXP Tally!

1600 words needed each!

Scorra are Difficulty 10

Kaalnia (Rank 2):

3(10 x 6 ) / 2 = 90
+
5(10*6)/2= 150 x 0.75=112.5 -> 113
=
203 exp

Dyakida (Rank 3):

2(10 x 6 ) / 3 = 40
+
6(10 x 6)/3= 120 x 0.75=90
=
130 exp

Briella (Rank 3):

3(10 x 6 ) / 3= 60
+
5(10 x 6)/3 = 100 x 0.75= 75
=
135 exp

Dyakida knew they would leave shortly for the deeper jungle. The whole Neued camp spoke of things like resting, recovering, licking ones wounds... it was distressing.

Dyakida had not been comfortable in Neued, despite the hard work she had done for the warriors stationed here. She had known it was temporary, But leaving it felt too much like giving it up to the enemy. She did not like that, but it was also not her decision to make. She was not an elder and not a warrior. If they said it was time to leave, so be it.

So, she was taking the opportunity to forage for materials that were found at the Jahuaran border, where the trees became sparse and made way for sand and sharp crystal grass. The border was a region of its own, and had its own treasures. Treasures she needed.

She dared not go alone to search. Peyla flitted by her side, chiming occasionally, but the sprite was not her only companion.

"Thank you for doing this." she said to Kaalnia and Briella, smiling in no particular direction, "I... appreciate it greatly."

"Sure, 'kida!" said Kaalnia, clapping the Artisan on her shoulder, "But you don't need to thank me!" she winked, forgetting briefly that the artisan could not appreciate her impeccable timing and gestures. "I came with ya to protect ya. And that's just what I'm doing." she grinned winningly, again forgetting its uselessness, "Besides, we sisters stick together, right Brie? We can't let you wander off and get yourself hurt! It wouldn't be right!"

When Dyakida had asked about perhaps having some sisters travel with her on her foraging - she'd been shaky after some totally harmless incident she'd had in the jungle, poor cutie - Kaalnia had said YES. She hadn't had a chance to impress 'kida during the battle, and she'd had a massively depressing time just afterwards, carrying bodies and all that. She was happy to spend time with her sisters again in the familiar jungle, and maybe show off a little, too.

Plus, she got to spend time with Brie, which was always awesome. They didn't hang out much any more, which was frustrating, but they were hanging out together now, which was just fine. "Hey Brie, do you think we'll see any action today?" she asked her sister cheerfully.

Secretly, she hoped not.

Briella nodded towards her little sister and closest friend. Living with Dyakida always had it's challenges, but they were challenges that Briella didn't mind in the least bit. For starters she appreciated her eyes more. She couldn't imagine how hard life was for Dyakida, the uncertainty of what was everywhere. That was why when ever Dyakida asked for something, she gave it to her friend when she could. She would travel with her to the ends of their world. Plus there was the fact that Dyakida was a special sister, and one that was necessary. Briella took pride in being the one who helped keep her safe.

Her sister's voice drew her out of the little world that she was in. She smiled. She was glad that Kaalnia didn't go and fight the war, but Briella was sad that Kaalnia did have to deal with all of the dead bodies. That had to be depressing. "I've seen enough action for a while, hopefully today will be a quiet trip where we find everything that Dyakida needs. What are you looking for in particular Dyakida?" she asked curiously. She knew what things Dyakida normally used, but she wasn't sure what her friend expected to find out here.

Dyakida tried not to flinch at the pressure on her shoulder. Welcome the company may be, but Kaalnia was... annoying. Very annoying. She hadn't stopped being annoying, even after she had returned from Zena.

"No, it wouldn't be right." she agreed. She was of the same mind as Briella - she would like this whole hunt for materials to be completely and totally uneventful. Nothing big or bad or ugly happening. No monsters attacking, or Obans - though that was approximately the same thing. She would like to just have a nice walk with her sisters, find everything that she needed, and go home to craft weapons for her sisters - for commission this time, not just for free. It was not a once-off thing, but it had not been very rewarding. And it had been lonely. Very lonely... aside from Pahana, of course. That had been pleasant.

"Crystals, plants that have... mmm... water and oils that help them hold water? They are very good for polishing weapons." and dying them, but that wasn't why she was getting them, "And of course wood." Wood. Her life revolved around crystals and wood. "If you see any small branches or saplings of plants with a thick, woody, thorned stem, or a softly smooth stem - like its been handled - let me know." she said, "I'm looking for wood that has those traits, especially...." in part because they were supple and yet strong, and also because they held and channelled magic well. "Though I'll take any suitable wood that you can find..." she touched Briella's shoulder lightly, "And... anything else you think a sister might want included in their weapon. Or..." she smiled lightly, "Your own."

"Enough action?!" Kaalnia began incredulously, about to protest that you could never have enough action.

Then she remembered. "Right. Sorry, Brie." she said. Her sis had been out fighting, and she'd been the one to stay home. Well, not exactly home. "Lets make sure its nice and peaceful and you get all the wood you could want" she said, grinning as she looked around. "Oh! Hey!" she ran over to a promising looking tree, "Is this what you're after? With the thorny bits?" she asked, trying to find a piece to work off and bring over.

She watched as Kaalnia began to talk and than just stopped. It was good that she didn't have to worry about her sister being on the battle field, but at the same time it would be nice to have someone to know how she felt. Kaa wouldn't want any kind of action if she had been on the field, but Briella had assumed that being on the sidelines would give her enough action as well. Sure it wasn't fighting, but it was dealing with the dead and the hurt. Briella shook her head. "It's fine Kaa, don't even worry about it."

She looked around as Dyakida spoke and smiled. "You just made me the most beautiful set of weapons. Got to let you share the love a little with the rest of our sisters." she said as she noticed crystals that looked like they would be good for spear points. "How exactly do you go about getting the crystals? I think I found some. Oh and I think that looks right Kaa, Dya want to make sure that the tree is good. I can get the crystal for you if you let me know how to do it properly."

Well, if Brie told her not to worry, she wouldn't worry! There! Problem solved!
"Over here!" she said to Dyakida, waving her over before remembering how useless that was. She saw some fallen branches nearby. "Oh hey! I found more stuff for ya, 'kida!" she said, before she went to the branches, "I think they're still good!" she poked the wood, "Dry, too! Isn't that good?" Kaalnia had no idea. Maybe sap would be good for weapon crafting, to make it stick together? She didn't know. "Like, not rotted, or anything..." Something else caught her gaze. "Oooo!" she exclaimed, hopping up and scampering over, spear held askew, "Whats this...?!" she said (more than asked), poking a springy extrusion from a tree. It was hard, but also had a slight give to it and a very pretty color. She poked it again. "Brie! Brie! Come check this out! I think its sap!"

The Tale edge was awesome!

Dyakida suppressed a sigh as she made her way over to inspect the wood. How on Tendajii did Kaalnia expect her to know from all the way over here if it was the right wood? She really was insufferable. Fortunately, her loud, distinct voice was as helpful as Peyla's chiming. At least it had some use other than being a thorn in her eardrums.

"I can only hope to improve on your weapons later on." she said, smiling at the thought. She knew that, just from the practice she had gotten after the battle, she was significantly more adept at her craft. No master by any means, but still... Very good. "Mmm... the crystals... well it depends on the crystal and where you found it..." an annoyed expression flashed across her face as Kaalnia moved on, and she gestured to Peyla, who proudly hovered in place where Kaalnia had been, chiming playfully at her alkidike until she reached the tree, before moving on to play with Kaalnia's hair at the wood pile.

Dyakida inspected the small sapling and, pleased, took out her dagger to cut it. "It is best if they're whole. Some crystals can be worked out easily, or picked up from the ground." living things often left their crystals behind, and those were often best to use. "Some - the bigger ones - will be stuck tightly. Don't worry about removing them then - I'll do that later..." She paused, sawing through the sapling with a grunt, moving it to the carrying cloth at her back, "If so, just use my chisel to get it- and whatever's around it." she patted her tools at her side, "Do you need my chisel?" she asked, about to head towards the wood pile when she paused, listening.

"Brie? Do you hear that?" she asked, frowning, "It sounds like... flapping?" she wasn't sure. The sound was faint, but unusual for Jahuar.

She smiled as she watched her sister run around. She was so excited, and although she was moving around a lot she was trying her best to be helpful. Briella squeezed Dyakida's shoulder and laughed. She knew that her sister tried Dyaida's patience, Kaalnia seemed to do that to most people actually, but she meant well. Kaalnia had a big heart, she just needed to learn to tone it down a little sometimes. Or maybe the world should learn to turn it up. Either way she was happy that Dyakida had invited her sister along, she knew that it made Kaa happy.

"Kaalnia slow down." she said with a smile as she looked down at the crystal on the floor. "No I thought it was buried deep, but it was just laying half way buried." she said as she picked up the crystals and put them into her bag.

She moved over to where her sister was to check and see if it was sap and nodded. "Yep, you found some, and a lot. Dya do you have a container for the sap?" she asked as she started to rummage through her bag. She normally had something in her bag, but she couldn't find anything at the moment. When Dyakida asked her if she heard anything Briella stopped and tilted her head. She heard something, but what was it? It wasn't something she heard before.

"Yeah it sounds like that, but I don't see anything. Kaa do you see anything?" she asked as she looked around. Wait, was that a dust cloud far off? She covered her eyes to try and get a better look.

Dyakida felt through and collected what wook was usable in Kaalnia's pile - which was actually a lot of it. So far, her sister had been more useful than usual, which was a trend that Dyakida hoped would continue.

She nodded at Briella's comment, and would have been more pleased to be getting a new crystal for her crafting - and would have happily said so (she believed in thoroughly encouraging her sisters), but the flapping noise was clearer now, and it bothered her.

"I... do." said Dyakida, taking out a small, waterproof, empty bag from her rucksack, "But is it hardened or liquid? If its completely liquid, it would be best to wait..." She frowned. What was that sound? Flapping, yes, but... pounding too? She began to walk over towards where Briella was, holding the bag. "... until it thickens. Yes, Kaalnia, do you see anything?" Go make yourself useful she didn't say.

She touched Briella's shoulder briefly and felt the carvings on her staff. It was solid and there, and her sister was solid and there, and both were very comforting in the face of the unease she was beginning to feel...

"Aww. Slowing down is boring." said Kaalnia, falsely pouting, "C'mon, Brie! Its really awesome!" she poked the sap again. It was thick - not quite solid, not quite liquid. She thought it was absolutely neat. It also felt nice, "You gotta feel it!"

She did, however, wait for Briella to come over and inspect it, feeling very pleased with herself. Aww yeah! she thought, Look at me. I'm so useful! She gave Dyakida a smouldering, winking, sidelong stare as she walked over, Yeah, baby, you want some of this.

Then she actually paid attention to the conversation. What did she see? Hot, sexy, babes.

Oh, wait, they were serious, and Briella seemed worried about something... Kaalnia squinted, but all she could see was a dust cloud. The Tale had dust clouds. That was nothing to worry about.

Except.

She could hear the flapping too.

"Hang on." she said, climbing the tree with exaggerated effort to get a better look. Up high, on a tree branch, she leaned forward, squinting, at the dust cloud.

It was moving nearer, and fast. And it wasn't right. Kaalnia had seen dust storms before, but this was not one of those. She thought she saw shapes inside it. "I think its a bunch of..." she grimaced, puzzled, as a clearly colorful feather flew out of the dust storm, and she could make out bodies, long necks, and clawed feet among them. They were close now, and she could hear the squawking and shrieking and clamouring too.

"Rot..." she exclaimed, "Thats a lot of critters."
