Hey guys and ghouls, I'm back from a hiatus and wanting to see who is still paying attention to this guild at all.
Also let me know if there are any quick improvements that can be made to make things more enjoyable. Since it doesn't look like Gaia has any investment in improving guilds on their end, I'm gonna convert one of my old threads into a suggestion and FAQ thread so we can at least make things as good as can be on our end. Also, I can't promise I'll be around all the time like I once was, but I'm hoping to be back more often and able to make this guild a bit more enjoyable like it once was. heart I've missed you all!

So happy to see you back, love!
A suggestion I've been thinking about, that I've seen other anon guilds doing to improve their guild/thread activeness, is to perhaps have a monthly newsletter? This could have all sorts of things in it, it's really limitless, but the goal is to have fun with it and to not stress out. The first letter could link any important threads you want to point out, especially to new members, etc. 3nodding
Once my classes are over I can finally finish the calendar (I swear it will be done some day), and perhaps we can include birthdays during the month in the letters? (yet again borrowed idea ninja ) I think sharing members' birthdays will help improve our creep/anon/gifting factors and return some of the spirit!

frozen_flames06 um like a mini event in between the big gaia events? Those will be easier to do now that school is over, at least on my end! 3nodding Not sure what the schedules are like for the other crew, however.

Sushi, Hoshi, I love your ideas. Frozen, The idea of mini events is a great idea as well, however, I worry about the fact that the Halloween event, with over 4 mil being given away, was still a complete bust. If we cant even get people to be active, during main events with big prizes, Im a bit discouraged about getting mini events to work.

(in terms of contests I mean, gifts are another story but we can set limits!) Let this be purely for fun~

Sellesion Think people will still take part? Honestly, prizes are intimidating to me. Like I can judge from how expensive they are how many people will enter and the odds of me joining go down. Maybe that's just me and I have low self esteem of my ability. xD (and lose focus on RNG games way too fast to care on those) I would like to see people's creativity for the sake of creativity and competition than because of winning "x", "y" or "z" item or gold amount, you know? IMO. But yeah! Basics always work for mini-events. That's why they are mini. Simple, but keeping people interacting, showing we care about the guild and them. 3nodding

Not everyone likes high competition.. so if they feel like the prize is going to provoke that, and they feel like because of it they never are going to win, then they have no reason to enter. :/ It would be really nice to see people just having fun, and playing around with contests and what not just to do so. Sushi suggested to me, maybe having some art as a prize- it's simple, and special, but doesn't exactly have a resale value or anything. I think it could work. *nod nod* I think this way too, if people get really engaged, we are likely to attract the kinds of people who will stick around when big prizes aren't there anymore. Cus while, with millions of gold in prizes, you might attract people, but once they win motivation to participate is often lost. >< The thing now however, is to come up with mini even ideas and whatnot.

Art is a fantastic idea!!!!! *excited fangirl squeal* The only hard part then is to make sure the artists (whomever they are) can commit to the time necessary to make the drawings/paintings/etc. And everyone in the thread/guild can participate in like art trades too, or random anon art! (I've seen that happen before) Ohh so exciting. emotion_awesome So many possibilities with those thoughts. I agree, if you draw in people just because of high ticket items, those tend to be the ones that disappear as soon as events are over. 3nodding The ideas seem to be boil out of us as we're talking this out, don't you think? What's left to establish seems to be crew related or based on polls of the people: when to have things happen, and some guidelines/rules..a couple crew meetings to recheck availability of everyone cuz of summer, etc, discuss rotation of who creates/head-hosts events is a big one too.

I know it's a late reply but now that I'm on summer vacation, minus the next week here when I'll be writing Gaia a letter and not signing in, I'll plan to be on more often! I suspect I will regularly get bogged down when college starts up again, but my holidays will have Gaia and creeping in them! sweatdrop 3nodding
I love the idea of random art trade (reading comments above mine) - everyone can art, and getting one in return would make my day biggrin
