FIRE! FIRE! Oh holy crap there's a fire!...no wait...that's a Moltres...JUST AS BAD!!!

Pyry had been laying unconscious near the lake for some time now, his mind and body shutting down from the fear that had engulfed him at the Moltres showing it's self. For anyone who knew the Cryogonal's history, they would not have, nor could have blamed him, it was a frightening thing for him to be so near a fire type pokemon, let alone the God of them!

There was a sudden cry of fright as Pyry jolted awake, eyes wide and fearful, jerking his head around to make sure the firebird wasn't still there. "MOLTRES!" the word came out as a squeaked cry as he lept to his feet...and immediately felt off balance.

He looked around more to find out why and began to panic a little, he was on fire!! Without thought or hesitation he dashed into the lake, expecting it to extinguish the "fire" on him, though once in the water he realized a few things.

One. He was not in any pain. Odd for being on fire.

Two. The lake had apparently lost a lot of it's water content, because it was sitting on him so much lower than it usually did. To about his hips, when it used to go to his chest. How long had he been out? Had Moltres' heat evaporated some of the water?

Three. He was in the middle of a panic attack and needed to calm himself.

It took several more moments to realize that the lake hadn't lost water. No, the stress of the bird showing up had not only rendered him unconscious, but had somehow triggered a growth and he was now a teen! Climbing out of the lake he looked at his rippling reflection in curiosity.

"A blessing Moltres said...that's what these are..." he looked at the orangey-red orbs curiously and shook his head. "Life keeps getting stranger...."

He headed back to the place he and Escher called home. First he'd changed...then Escher had changed and now he had changed again...what was going on? It looked like Escher had been thinking ahead and there laid new clothing for Pyry, though no sign of his Palkia mentor.

Pulling everything on Pyry delighted in the new clothing, enjoying the look and feel of them. Now that he was calming down, he settled with his bell collection and began to fuss with them n various ways, taking care of his hair...and on a whim braiding some into his tresses. It had been a sudden idea but he liked the end result!

The dial on the radio strapped to Emmerich's side was set to a low volume, but in the stillness and quiet of the area, its buzzing seemed to bounce off the walls of the cave and come in all directions. It almost seemed to pulse, alternate between a sharper and a lower tone intermittently with interference from its distance from any radio stations. The magnemite hadn't tried hooking up the mechanical device with a stronger attachment to its living power source in order to get some reception, but he had long since forgotten it was physically there. Or that he was even still there.

It hadn't been more than a couple minutes since he had drifted off into a cat nap, curled up at the back of a notch in the side of a rocky wall that could scarcely be considered a mountain cave. Any wind that blew past the area would have extinguished a fire built within, if it was possible, but he was at least blocked from it in the back corner. His limbs were growing stiff with the chill, however, making movement difficult.

Lifting an arm from its place wrapped around his knees, he tried opening and closing the hand. The cold outside was still causing the sharp pain of frostbite over exposed arms, but it was a good sign he still had a sense of feeling... at least in a general sense. He wasn't sure if he was still sleeping or not, but none of this really seemed all that real to Emery. It seemed preposterous that he was even out here in the first place, altogether forgetting the reason he even attempted the trek. No, he was still back at the factory, wasn't he? He must have been slacking off if he could daydream in the middle of a shift. Maybe that had been a dream, too.

He replaced the arm to its origin around his legs, pulling them closer to rest his head easier on them. He didn't like the snow. Maybe once it passed, just like the rain did, he'd wake up again.

Pyry had finished stringing his bells, and while he hadn't kept track of the amount it was a goodly amount, and sure to annoy Escher when the currently child sized Palkia turned up again. That was fine by Pyry, because while Escher might grumble, it was good natured grumbling, since it was something Pyry did enjoy.

Once done though he was restless. Very.

So he got back to his feet and began to pace a little. He had no desire to stay here on his own today, even with all that had happened recently. Or maybe because of it. All he knew is he was a bundle of nervous energy and he needed to expend it. So, he began to wander. He'd travel around the mountain today.

Of course, it started to snow in his wanderings and he was amazed to realize he was actually a bit chilly! He wondered if it was due to his continued changes, there was more of him now to clothe and keep warm and all, maybe it was this excess of being that made him a bit chilled. It wasn't a bad thing though, just different.

As he wandered lost in thought something caught a corner of his mind and tugged his attention to the forefront. What...was that buzzing? His eyes narrowed a little as he began to search for the source of the sound with caution. He'd never heard a noise like that on the mountain!

Pausing outside of a cave, he thought the sound was louder, and glowing blue eyes peered into the darkness, searching for the source of the odd noise, his orbs floating behind him illuminating slightly, the icy blue, and the warm fiery reds and oranges. He was still trying to grow accustomed to this little...change. The color seemed cosmetic, there was no fire about him, save the hues, but it was still a bit disturbing, and distracting!

The snow's still falling...

Emery's nose was buried at his arms, still huddled in the corner as he observed the weather. Time was a very fleeting feeling, and although he had no sense of it, he still had the capability to wish the weather would change sooner. Not that it felt as though it had been too long, on the contrary, it didn't feel like things were even moving in the order he was experiencing them in. Things were too fragmented at the moment from a malfunctioning mind to do much more than make decisions based on current predicaments, and even that much was mostly whim. He wasn't sure it was even safe to travel out there even if the wind and snow did stop falling, but then, it didn't seem to be helping him just to sit here, either. One thing at a time; just go with how the dream was directing him, for there wasn't any use in fighting it.

He twitched slightly as a chime cut through the static of the radio, a leg flinching him awake again. He hadn't realized he'd dozed off again, but watching snow fall wasn't the most exciting thing ever. However, maybe it was better that it was so uneventful, for he sure didn't like being startled fully-awake with a silhouette that was suddenly there, as though appearing from nothing. The child jolted back with a sharp, muffled gasp, but he was already as far back into the cave corner as he could go and merely ended up smacking an elbow on the stony surface.

If he had had a better grasp of himself at the moment, the icy blue glow of the teen's eyes as he scanned the area or the dual lengths of orbs trailing behind him would have been a dead giveaway, even if Emery couldn't see the details of anything else, light to his back. He would have remembered that this encounter was exactly why he had traveled so far in the first place, simply to give a bell back. To give himself some semblance of a direction...

A shiver ran up his spine as the white noise originating from the machine at his side seemed to twist into a growl. The figure at the front of the cave towered above him, and the red glow at the tips of his tails instilled the thought that the figure was also angry. Maybe someone really did live here... With a sharp inhale of freezing air, it felt as though he'd have cut his throat on the words that were cast from his mouth, "Leave me alone!" Instinctively, he shot a move towards the teenager -- any move, it didn't matter as long as it put distance between them.

Perhaps it was only because the circuits of his mind were already shattered enough as it was that the move even worked in the first place. Maybe it was the only one that would, under such conditions. His body tensed, arms pulled slightly closer to his own body. He could have sworn there were chains that had wrapped around his slight frame just then, just a flash before the ethereal object vanished, blinking out. Did he... Was that..? He didn't understand, what was going on!? The magnemite's frightened state wouldn't allow him to move, but his eyes turned back to the entrance once more, hoping whoever had just been there thought better than to attack him again. Again? He had attacked, right?

Pyry's eyes had just focused enough in the dark to make out the huddled figure in the back, the sudden burst of static drawing glowing eyes that direction when the shout startled him. Well, someone was obviously here!

There was an odd sound from him as he felt something seemingly constricted around him, feeling like he was being bound, but glancing down he saw nothing around him. There seemed to be a flash of...something in that gloomy interior, but the what, was lost on him. The feeling ebbed after a few moments and he forgot about it. Must've been the wind.

It took Pyry a few moments longer to realize that voice seemed familiar and he stepped further into the cave, the light behind him making his shadow fall across the cave interior in odd ways. "Mister Emmerich sir?" the question was soft...was it really him? Or was he imagining he knew that voice?
PostPosted: Tue May 06, 2014 9:13 pm
He was dismayed to know that... whatever move it was that he had just tried to use did jack when it came to knocking the unknown apparition away. It did something, that much was... probable. Emery hadn't just imagined it, did he? His head was so cloudy that only the fear was cutting through, grabbing hold of a survival instinct much too strong.

The words, so gingerly spoken, was but a sound from the direction his senses told him was the true threat. Any meaning behind them seemed to fail to reach the panicked magnemite. Before he had any chance to really think on his actions, even to deliberate whether any further attack would only instigate war, his nerves snapped to tossing out a Sonic Boom. "I told you to leave me alone!" he cried, voice tensed with the hypersensitive anxiety. The radio, in such close proximity, started crackling at the unrestrained energy the boy was producing.

But Pyry's words didn't go unnoticed. No, no, this is wrong! a voice, buried deep in the broken pieces of awareness, tried to cut through. Why couldn't he regain control!? This manic attack was too strong, and Emmerich felt prisoner in his own body. He couldn't have been doing this! It's Pyry! Stop, you moron! the child wasn't going to cease trying to break through, to sever what felt like puppet strings to a force unseen, no matter how hopeless it seemed, Snap out of it!

The sudden use of Sonic Boom caught Pyry off guard, and he threw up a hand moments too late a cry of surprise from him as it felt like some of the rocks in the cave chipped off and flew at him, bouncing off his clothing harmlessly it seemed to him. He had more important things to worry about.

Using Icy Wind, more to stop anything else from hitting him, than to hit whoever was attacking him, Pyry found a slight outcropping in the cave floor, and crouched behind it warily. It wasn't terribly big, and he was hunched down as far as he could be, the top of his head poking up some, and bits of him sticking out to either side due to how slim it was in comparison to him. Still, he wasn't minding the protection, scant though it may be.

Taking a deep breath, Pyry dared to duck around the stone that was protecting him, and faced towards the panicked voice once again, wanting to get a clear look now that his vision was better adjusted to the dim light of the cave. The noise coming from that spot was deafening, bouncing off the small enclosure like it was however making it hard to focus!

Sonic Boom was not, overall, a very damaging move. As though by way of sympathy pain, there was a slight twinge to Emery's forearms when he saw the move connect, but the thought was quickly batted to the side. It helped that the exposed skin was still generally numb but for the clawing of minor frostbite, making the touch of anything further dulled by the weather. In fact, it might have been the snowy weather itself that was causing it in the first place, and he only just now realized it with the visual stimulus. Who was to say?

Emery rose a hand to block the breeze that Pyry kicked up, but the chilly winds were not aimed at the magnemite so much as the debris that was kicked up. Still, it was a climate he was trying to avoid within these hollowed walls, and he pulled his limbs closer to himself once more to block out the sudden chill.

It was a moment before he chanced another look around the cave, having shut his eyes to the gale that had been conjured. Another moment longer, and he located who he had hoped would have fled after the initial charge, using the rocky landscape as a makeshift barricade against any further barrage. There was still a bit of doubt, afraid that the figure wouldn't leave due to some home invasion, but Emery couldn't very well leave the cave at the moment, either. This was survival, and he wasn't going to give in without giving it his all first.

Stop it, you're going to hurt him! Wake up!

That didn't mean he had to be brutal about it, however, despite such violent tendencies. His bare arms were still stinging him, but with the excessive rush of adrenaline, it was merely a minor hindrance at present. He took careful aim at the floor before Pyry's hiding place instead of the cryogonal himself, hitting with another Sonic Boom in the hopes it would scare him off.

Pyry could see his attack had chilled his attacker and caused them to huddle in on themselves, which hadn't been the purpose, but it was a good trick in any case! He knew he could put off quite a bit of cold when it came to it, and while he didn't want to have to resort to that he would if needed.

The second Sonic Boom hit just as Pyry was getting to his feet, and it knocked him right back off of them, landing hard against the rock he'd just hidden behind and having the wind knocked out of him with a small grunt of surprise. The sound of bells tinkling could be heard in the following silence, Pyry wasn't trying to be quiet at this point, especially as his boot slid on the debris on the cave floor and made his balance shift again, causing a knee to come down on sharp rocks a slight hiss of pain from him as he felt one bite into him through his pants. He couldn't tell if it was sharp enough to have cut him, but it was an ache from falling on it none the less.

Pyry was feeling slightly desperate now, and he racked his brain. He knew that Escher had at one time told him about a move he'd seen that he thought would be perfect for Pyry when he was older. What was it again?

"Oh...right!" The sudden exclamation had to be a surprise, and Pyry's eyes seemed to brighten as he thrust his hands out suddenly a flash of light before him flaring up, and slightly illuminating the cave as he did so. Escher had described Light Screen in such vivid detail, that Pyry had been able to recall everything and call upon it in his need!

He was just unaware of the fact it was only good for a few attacks against him! Still for the moment he was on his feet, the shield of light before him and he waiting quietly a moment for a reaction from the other.

He looks cold... a voice in the back of his head prodded. ...needs hot food, and a fire, and warm clothes....

"Mister Emmerich sir...it's me...it's Pyry!" silence couldn't be held any longer, Pyry realizing the other couldn't have recognized him given all of his recent changes! No wonder he'd been attacked!

Emery was keeping a careful vigil on Pyry as he moved -- the more the cryogonal made any sort of movement, the more the magnemite tried to plan for what was to come next, his nerves on high alert. Well, at least so much as he was able to feel of the nerves.

The sympathy pain he had felt from before was a quick attribution, but what came after seeing the teenager stumble and fall after the aftershock of Emery's shot was more than just a coincidence. There was no denying that sudden blunt, forcible hammer at the knee, even if the jarring at the back was easy enough to dismiss without the accompanied locking of lungs at impact. He stumbled back, wide-eyed and leaning against the wall behind him. There was no way that-- Momentarily distracted, upon seeing an opening as Pyry regained himself, Emery hissed a frightened, "H-How did you do that!?" It didn't even occur to him that his opponent would have no idea what he was talking about, or that he was in too much pain and anxiety to hear the posed question, or even the fact that this might all still be in Emery's head.

Regardless, it was likely a return response wouldn't have mattered anyway. The child was frazzled, scared, in pain, cold, irritable... he couldn't find any positive notes in how he was feeling. Even that desperate voice in the back of his head, trying to get him to see something he wasn't seeing, didn't sound very optimistic.

Pyry's implementation of the Light Screen did little to assuage those feelings. Emery had never seen a move like that, and wasn't sure what exactly it was supposed to do. Instinctively, he shot another Sonic Boom toward it, if only because the move was used more for scare tactics than to actually damage. Fidgeting, he observed as the brunt of the damage was swallowed by the shield -- did he even hit the one on the other side of it at all? -- but waited for a second to see if that managed to scare him off.

He flinched at the words, but they impacted him, just not in the manner that would have been ideal. Somewhere, he understood what he was being told, and the fists of that understanding were trying desperately to break down the walls that he had sunk beneath. Get your hands off the freaking trigger! He could hear it, but the emotion was misconstrued, and he panicked at Pyry's voice. He almost didn't need to tell himself to launch Magnet Bomb, but that much must have been obvious with how erratic the aim was.

Maybe that could have also been contributed to the tears that suddenly seemed to cloud his vision a little, too. W-What was going on? You're going to kill him! STOP IT!

Pyry wasn't entirely used to combat, especially in an enclosed space, and coming from someone he'd considered a friend at that! The teen was more than a little baffled by the magnemite's reactions really!

"How did I do what? Fall? I lost my balance of course." he was rubbing at his knee slightly, a slight flash of irritation in his own voice at the others question. He hadn't done anything else after all!

It was that new attack coming at him that had him reacting, and seeing something sticking to him now...he dove backwards out of the cave just as the explosion happened, the concussion to the air making snow fly around him as if a heavy weight had been dropped from high up and made it bounce.

Pyry lay there in the snow, aching from the blast, and afraid to look and see what damage had been done to himself from it. It was his leg that hurt more than anything since it stuck to it...and finally he glanced down, grimacing a little at what he saw. Good thing they kept things back home he could use to heal up with.

Glowing blue eyes turned towards the cave entrance and he pushed himself to his good leg, favoring the right one slightly as he constructed a staff for himself out of snow and ice, and leaned on it. "Mister Emmerich....you'll freeze in here...please...come with me...it's warm there...there's food. You can rest and warm up...please..." even after that attack, he wasn't going to back down. No, he was hobbling into the cave then. A few of his bells were making funny noises, they were dented and not ringing proper. A few had fallen from him entirely and lay scattered on the cave floor.

The toe of his boot kicked one and it tinkled to a stop in front of Emery while Pyry reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out the purple scarf he had worn before his changes, and he wrapped it around the others neck, before he shrugged off his slightly damaged coat, and laid it over top of Emery as well, before he turned and began to hobble out.

He had asked him to come yes, but he didn't expect him to. He also didn't expect to get very far before being attacked again. He was sure he'd managed to get so close because the other was shocked he survived. His leg threatened to buckle as he walked, and his hand tightened on the ice stick he had, gritting his teeth. This was a good lesson to have, and now...well now hopefully Emery would stay warm and survive...

The panic, masked somewhat by his hasty retreat, left little room to fully acknowledge Pyry's confused retort to Emery's disordered exclamation. He was too preoccupied in trying to figure it out on his own, despite only having access to assumption and theory at this point in time. Regardless, the irritation emanating from the both of them at this point did little to correct the magnemite's attention to the details he was clearly missing in his treatment of the situation.

His severe mistreatment of the situation, as a matter of fact. The boy hadn't actually, consciously chosen to use the move he had only recently learned, and by extension, the consequences of using such a foolhardy attack -- both on the opponent and the surrounding cave. He didn't even seem to realize what he had done at the time, too distracted by the surprise that came with the tears; he didn't understand why they were falling, and was quick to attempt to get them to stop messing up his vision.

The sound of the detonation had him scrambling back to the corner of tha cave for cover that wasn't really there, hands now at his ears. His eyes had shut tight for a moment until the echoing died down again, scanning the entrance of the cave but keeping his ears covered. He could still hear the radio static through the flesh and bone, sounding as distorted as he was feeling. There was so much numbness, cold clawing through the layers of skin, that anything felt outside of the frostbite couldn't be readily acknowledged. Had he... had he finally scared Pyry off? D-Did you kill him..?

Emmerich didn't move an inch, huddled in the corner and blocking out the sound. The sharp, irregular chimes of the bent bells were barely heard, but seemed on cue with the radio's white noise in a twisted choir. His eyes closed tightly as Pyry came closer, almost sure that the cryogonal was going to do something drastic to keep him from attacking again. The reaction wasn't so much out of fear as it was expectation, and he almost hoped karma would come back to bite him, if only because he might be able to make some sense of this whole scenario.

The darkness on the other side of his eyelids was dizzying, but he kept them shut, his body stationary. It wasn't until the haphazard jingles were moving away did he chance a look, confused, only to be jolted more upright once he saw what Pyry had done. A hand reached out for the collar of the coat, tugging it closer to verify what it was. As he did so, his foot slipped slightly in its traction, bumping the bell that had rolled to rest in front of him. The clear sound cut through the haze, and it felt as though his heart had lept into his throat. With a shaky hand, he reached for it, his eyes darting back up to spot the back of the teen as he hobbled away.

His friend.

"P-Pyry..!" he managed with a start, grabbing hold of the bell in front of him and the jacket about his shoulders as he jumped to his feet. He had every intention of getting the boy's attention, but the unexpected stumble he encountered was not one of his ideas on how to accomplish that feat. The sudden pain that shot through his leg made balance on it near impossible, and he fell back to the ground with little time to prevent it. To say he was confused was an understatement, for there was no visible injury that he could see, or remember being afflicted with... but that wasn't the important part right now. He promptly sat back upright. How was he supposed to explain all this? M-Maybe it was better that Pyry leave him here... Never mind that Emery had come all this way just for this encounter, but the magnemite couldn't trust himself enough to know, without a doubt, that this wouldn't happen again. Regardless, he didn't want his friend to think that Emery hated him; even if Pyry didn't look back, the least Emery could do was make that much known, "I'm sorry! I didn't... I didn't mean to--" He visibly cringed, cutting himself off.

The situation was puzzling to Pyry, and it was painfully so. He didn't have many friends....so to have one of the very few he could consider one acting in this way, made him wonder what had happened to turn the other against him...and he merely rounded back to blaming this whole larger form. He must be a frightening sight!

The pain filled him emotionally and physically as he was blasted backwards...What's going on!? Why is he doing this!? is mind screamed at him in a panic. It had been a long time since he'd been attacked in any way, as more than a training exercise...as anything more than on purpose for...well fun. No, this was far too reminiscent of a fight for his life. One he wasn't trying his hardest on because he refused to hurt Emery, even if the other obviously didn't feel the same in regards to himself.

He could hear the movement behind him as the other moved around and he paused, bracing himself for an attack from behind. His eyes closed with a sigh of defeat as he merely waited....only to be surprised by the voice calling his name. Opening his eyes again...well eye, one suddenly seemed to be glued shut and he reached up and wiped some blood from his eye he hadn't realized was slowly dripping from a cut on his forehead, and opened it as well, staring at Emery a long, silent moment. Was this a trick? Call out to him like this, to get close and attack again?

Pyry found he didn't care. Instead he was staring at Emery sitting there on the cave floor and came to an important decision. I can't let him stay here in this cave. It's too cold and drafty, and even with the things I gave him, he'll freeze! and so he slowly limped back into the cave, and took a deep breath, letting that sigh out slowly, a hand held out to help the other to his feet.

"Come mister Emmerich sir...we will go to mine and mister Eschers home...and I can get you food, and warmed up. You'll freeze quickly in this cave, it's not protected enough. Our home is. Please?" he gave the poke-child that same smile he'd had before this current change, ignoring his own personal pain and injuries. He could be treated on time. The cold didn't affect him like it would Emery, and getting him somewhere warm was what was more important in his mind.

Stockpiled messenger RP is a go! *WHOOSH!*

Emmerich had every expectation that Pyry would leave despite anything that was said, and he was fully justified in doing so. Sure, it might take a while to pick up the pieces, in more than one sense of the terminology, but it could be done. As long as Pyry wasn't the type to dwell and hold long grudges, that is... How far of a hole had he dug himself this time? He could scarcely remember what had even happened after Emery had stumbled across this little alcove. His head wasn't responding any clearer about it, either, but at least he had a little more consciousness under his control now. There was a cottony feeling in his head, perpetuated by the radio static, and it made him completely unaware of how much danger he was likely in.

He flinched as Pyry slowly turned around to face him instead of continuing on his way back home, a tight tension keeping Emery from moving. Was that... blood? How much damage had he caused!? The icy teen didn't look like he was doing too well, and hadn't done anything to deserve that sort of treatment, Emery was fairly positive of that much at least. He didn't dare say anything as Pyry fixed the magnemite with his stare: let him say what he wanted, he had every right to speak his mind.

As Pyry moved closer, Emery found himself shirking back a little by pulling the collar of the coat further up on his shoulders, the dented bell still clenched in his hand. It wasn't so much backing away from the cryogonal as it was a half-hearted, vain attempt to hide. He wasn't proud of what just occurred, and the fact he couldn't recall more than scattered pieces of panic here and there was upsetting.

Pyry's tone took Emery completely off-guard, and he found himself more at a loss for words now than he was letting the teen speak. What was going on? Why wasn't Pyry more angry with him? Did he... did he know what was going on, why Emery was so messed up? It felt like all he had were questions and no corresponding hints of an answer to any of them, but it didn't seem right to ask. If he sounded ignorant to what happened, how would that make him look, contextually-speaking?

It was obvious that Emery was hesitant, but it wasn't for the reasons that may have been first to an outside mind, as he reached for Pyry's offered hand uncertainly. He couldn't ask... but he couldn't deny that Pyry probably knew more about what was going on than Emery did. If the teen said it was hazardous to stay out here, Emery had no reason to disbelieve the statement. He stumbled a bit as he stood, but made the effort to stay upright, despite the fact he couldn't feel his legs past the knees. Well that was going to be tough... "Are... you okay?" he managed to ask, fidgeting with the scarf and pulling it up to his nose on instantaneous retrospect. Could you have asked a stupider question? Of course he wasn't alright!

It was a good thing Pyry was such an easy going guy. He hadn’t ever gotten mad in his life, he’d had no reason to. Even now he wasn’t mad at Emery for all that had happened, he was completely blaming himself for the other lashing out. He had grown, scared his friend. Of course he reacted negatively, or so he was going to be thinking for awhile anyhow.

Pyry brushed cool fingers over the cut on his forehead again and he made his fingers momentarily colder, to slow the bleeding a little. It would work for the time being. Better than the slightly warm blood constantly running into his eye when he so desperately wanted to see clearly just then.

That Emery shrank away was just extra confirmation in his mind that he had morphed into some horrible monster and it made his heart ache a little, to see he had apparently ostracized his friend. It did cause him to hesitate a little before he persevered with his asking the other to come with him. He might be horrible and frightening now, but the other could die…he could handle being treated like a pariah, if only the other was alive!

As the other reached for him hesitantly, he felt a brief flicker of hope, but he didn’t let it grow into anything more than that tiny spark, no best to stamp it out and let it grow cold before it took root and became a roaring flame! The fact that Emery stumbled it had him moving despite his own issues with standing and walking and carefully caught the magnemite so he wouldn’t fall to the cave floor, knowing it could cause harm. The question however surprised him, and he stared at the other briefly with those bright eyes of his, before he was finally talking. “I….I am not honestly sure how I am…but I will be okay regardless of how I am now. It’s you I worry about more…you’re not prepared for this cold….come home is warmer. Warm food, warm clothes, medicine…I’ll fix you up if you’ll let me.”
