Leaf Cafe
A bright, beautiful cafe in the middle of town. Lots of people tend to move in and out of it, so it's a great place to relax...and maybe pick up some bits and pieces of information, here and there. Though it's owned by a beautiful young woman, it seems to be ran a younger sister, with a sharp tongue, and a short temper. It seems that there is a Servant protecting the sister while the owner is out.

Annnnnd...Send.
Garry pressed the button on his phone, the message getting sent out in a flash. He leaned back in his chair at this, and let loose a deep sigh.
"Well...I didn't want to have to leave her...but, this is too dangerous." Garry called to himself, as he leaned back in his chair. He'd gotten himself involved in this tournament for the 'Holy Grail'...and he'd already summoned up his 'Servant'...But, there was a looming sense of danger about him. Something that just...bugged him. The tournament was supposed to be ruthless...Bloody....possibly even deadly. And he didn't want Mary to have any part of that.
I just hope that I'll be able to make it back to her. he thought to himself, as he took the drink to his lips, sipping cautiously at it. He had full confidence in his servant....but, as for himself...
I just hope I don't drag him down..

To Jo(shu): I'm sorry to burden you like this, but something....troublesome has come up, and I need someone to watch Mary for me. I'll return as soon as I can, so please take care of her while I'm gone. She gets out of school around the same time as you do, and she needs to be in bed by nightfall. I'll make it up to you when I get back, I promise. I'll pay you, I'll cover your shifts..I'll do anything! -Garry

Garry glanced around as he finished his drink, looking around the cafe.
"Is she coming back down?" he thought out loud, before he stood up from his chair, and lightly fixed his coat, then his Force-knuckle gloves to cover up the command seals on his hand.
"Well, i Shouldn't be around if she's not...." he mused quietly, before pulling some money out of his wallet, and leaving enough to pay for the drink.
I should come back here sometime.... he thought, as he walked out of the building, then down the downtown area. They have some really good tea.

Kyuzo Rikkio
"...One never stumbles when they walk the right path..."

"...I'm thirsty." The brown haired local sighed as he drug his feet along the sidewalk of the city streets, glancing left and right at the various local joints. Finally, he spotted one and smiled tiredly, moving to the doorway. Of course most people would have hesitated at least a little bit at it's large, leaf-based flamboyant sign. "...helllooo...I'd like to order, if you're open. Hello?" Kyuzo yawned as he entered, more from having just gotten back from work (where he'd had to desperately explain where he'd been for the last few weeks) than from anything else. Kyuzo pulled out a chair near the front and sat down, glancing around for whoever was in charge of the little shop in the middle of the city. That was a surprisingly gutsy move too, because in a city as large as Sapporo, and facing as much trouble as it had in recent history, prices downtown were sure to be quite a bit higher than you'd get in other areas of the town.

"...wait, haven't I been here before?"

As the local called out for help, one would be able to hear the scampering of feet, as someone was clearly in the building.
"I'm coming, I'm coming. Hold your horses." the voice called, before the petite figure came down from the staircase, glancing over. "Ah, Welcome to the Leaf Cafe. Sorry about the wait, my sister's out, and I'm in charge of the store."
She moved to grab a small notepad, before walking over to the weary traveller with a practiced, if not entirely genuine smile.
"What'll it be, sir?" she called, pen at the ready, as she was waiting to take Kyuzo's order. He seemed like a nice, normal enough guy...For now, at least.
After yesterday..hard to tell who's normal, and who's not anymore. she thought, remembering the clash of servants. It was a sight to behold....And, as it stood, she had to be ready..In case it happened again.

Kyuzo Rikkio
"...One never stumbles when they walk the right path..."

"...Ah, I'll have some Macha Tea. And maybe a lemon bar if you have any." Kyuzo sighed as he put his chin down on the table, breathing out another long sigh. Now that he was back home he felt a bit better, but the darkness that settled over Sapporo hadn't disappeared at all, and that meant that his progress had only helped to stem the tide by a little. "...ah, and what do you want to eat?" Kyuzo glanced over to his side where another person had followed him inside, still tugging at the collar of his new shirt as his eyes shifted back and forth warily. It was clear that Kyuzo was more earnestly offering to buy him something than knowingly insisting that he get something, and whether or not the other man was even hungry was something that he would know until he asked.

"Master, I already told you I'm not hungry. If we must stop, then at least allow me to wait outside and scout the area for enemies." The man was dressed in a recently purchased suit, and his unfamiliarity with it was even more evident by the tag sticking off the back of his neck that neither he nor his boss had seemed to notice. He slid in to the seat near his Master, a frown on his face that seemed to be his natural expression.

"It's hot outside. Relax, and have something to drink. He'll have...ah, an Oolong tea." Kyuzo nodded, pulling out his wallet once he'd ordered and pulling out the money he had. He poked the change in his hand, flipping the wallet upside down and sighing. When he caught the look on the other man's face though he smiled and raised his hands, stopping him from standing up and walking out. "Ah...I have enough. I can just work some overtime in order to make up for it. And...maybe cut back on my electricity bill. Ah...and maybe..." Kyuzo continued to wave his hands in front of him dismissively as he made a rather poor case for his new tenant to relax, all the while trying not to show the little sweatdrop forming on the side of his brow above his sheepish grin.

Serina gave a small chuckle as the boy placed his order. She penned the bits down, before another figure started in, wearing a brilliant suit...With a small frown, and a small mark under his eye. Serina flushed a little bit as she looked at the well dressed man..Even as he spoke of looking out for potential enemies. Watching the boy start to call out a drink for the other man, Serina gave a small smile at this, and shook her head.
"Consider the Oolong on the house." she called, before turning around. "I'll be back in a minute with your order."
She moved to the back of the cafe at this, starting to prepare the various teas, and looked around, moving.
Now, where did we keep those.. she thought, as she glanced to a high cabinet, and moved over. She stood on her tip toes, reaching for it...before resigning herself to being too short, and grabbing a stool. She took it to grab at their stores, having a Lemon bar as the boy requested, and having ample time to make the tea.
Sometimes, it's nice to have an easy day.. she thought to herself lightly, removing the tea-bags, soon returning from behind the counter with the two glasses.
"Here you go." she called, holding the tray. "One Macha Tea.."
Her hand moved to grab at the other, sitting it at the Suited figure.
"One Oolong Tea.."
A bit of a suppressed flush again, as she reach for the last item, moving.
"And, we had one." she called to the strange boy, sitting the Lemon Bar down on the counter. She pulled the tray under her arms at this, with a smile.
"Lemme know if there's anything else you need, kay?" she called to the two, smiling. Even if she was small enough that she was practically looking the suited man in the eye while he was sitting....She could still get her work done.

Kyuzo Rikkio
"...One never stumbles when they walk the right path..."

"T-thank you." Kyuzo blinked as she set their items down and gave a casual smile towards his companion, smiling a bit apologetically (though to no one in particular) as he took a sip of his tea. Meanwhile his blue haired companion looked at the tea with a frown, and it seemed he was going to comment to the lady before Kyuzo blurted in an interruption. "Ah...so, what are some of your skills? You look like you must be very strong. I'm trying to train myself, but compared to someone like you...." Kyuzo tried to think of a topic off the top of his head in order to keep his partner from commenting on the girl's obviously peculiar attitude, but unfortunately the only thing he could think of that they had in common was fighting. He wasn't sure if that commented more on his limited skills in the present considering that wasn't a normal past-time, or on how little he actually knew about his new partner, a man who's reputation should have proceeded him and which would have to most masters.

"I can answer if you want me to Master, but don't you think that discussing a topic like here could be dangerous? If another Master were listening in they'd gain an advantage on us in an instant. Teaching you a thing or two about fighting would be fine, too, but we need a secure location to train. I still can't believe that your base of operations is so exposed. We should make more preparations before we start engaging in batt-"

-a,ah! Ow, I burned my tongue." Kyuzo interrupted suddenly, rubbing his tongue a little comically. The truth was he was a fairly serious person himself, but it seemed like his new Servant was a little too wound up and he wasn't sure how to get him to relax. This world must have been so new to him, he wanted him to experience what he could while he was here. "Of course, I understand if you don't want to talk about it now. And it's not my base of operations, it's my house. Ah...but if you think it's too small-"

"That's not what I'm saying, Master." The Servant interrupted with a bit of exasperation, though it sounded more like he was angry. If he were a normal person he could have been mistaken for a thug or a rocker of some kind, and while it only added to his cool allure it also had the side effect of adding a darker tone or two to everything he said. "*Sigh* If you have nowhere to go, then it is fine for now. But my first thought is that we should find a place where you're safer. After that, I'll teach you a thing or two about my fighting style. It seems like you've got a knack for it too, so I think you'd be able to pick up on some things quickly."

"Ah...really?" Kyuzo smiled at that, taking a bite of the lemon bar as the other man expressed interest in teaching him. It was true that he was interested in what kinds of skills he could learn, and if he could use the help from his new ally to free this town from the grip it was in, then that was all the better. "My enemy isn't small either. I don't really want to make you fight the other Servants, but I want to protect this city and the people in it. I'm sure you must have felt the same about your homeland." Kyuzo glanced out the window at the street lights, before catching a glimpse of his dining partner about to interrupt again. Ah, but that doesn't mean I intend to not fight! The prize of this tournament can grant my wish, and that could save Sapporo. And if you want to fight in my name...it goes against my honor to interfere. Together, we'll show we're the best team." Kyuzo grinned, extending a hand to his partner. His partner looked at it, and after a moment nodded affirmatively, shaking it. It was such a surprise to finally have an understanding Master, and for Kyuzo who believed in a Code of Warriors as well, someone like his new Servant made for a truly strong bond. There was no doubt the affinity between them was the highest, and anyone who wanted to cross them was going to learn a hard lesson about what it meant to take on the ultimate team.

Kyuzo Rikkio
"...One never stumbles when they walk the right path..."

"Ah...check please." Kyuzo let out a relaxed sigh as he finished his tea, nodding towards his impatient Servant. Kyuzo reached into his pocket to grab his wallet, stopping suddenly; w-where was it? "Ah...um...nn..." The other man raised an eyebrow as Kyuzo put up a finger to stop him from standing, all the while trying to guess through the strange noises and shifty movements he was taking what could have caused his Master to suddenly become so alert. Was it an enemy Servant!?

"I'll take up a scouting position at once! Don't worry master, we'll find 'em." Kyuzo blinked as the man suddenly disappeared from the booth, glancing around quickly with a sweatdrop to make sure the young lady hadn't seen. If she had, the rules said that he had to make her forget whatever it took, or else they'd try to harm her. Not that he could bring himself to do anything but protect her, if they did try to due her harm...it was his fault after all. B-but why was his Servant so serious? They were just looking for his wallet!...thought the young man, not realizing what his Servant actually thought was happening.

It was just then that screams came from the street; amidst the shouts were words like 'Construction Site' and an accident of some kind. He wanted tdo find his wallet, and not give the woman reason to doubt him...but...but! "Ooh...aaah...I'll make this up to you, I promise!" Kyuzo made sure to hastily scribble his address on a napkin, before speaking. Shouting the apology suddenly, Kyuzo shot up from his seat and dashed for the door. He would never dream of dine and dashing in his life, but if there were people in harm's way, he had to help them! Even then, to leave the restaurant like this...!

...and as the swordsman ran out the door his foot unknowingly bumped into a rather thin leather wallet in the aisle, a picture of it's brown haired owner sticking out just enough from the wallet to reveal his identity. Having taken it out earlier, Kyuzo had merely failed to slip it back into his pocket, and instead it now lay on the floor near a table just a little way from his booth...a place that both he, and his Servant had missed in their hurry to find their oncoming battles, and settle the score with evil once and for all.

T-the waitress would understand...right?

Percy

"My, what a charming little place!" a young man said, whirling around a bit as he examined the decorations of the shop. "And these tables are fascinating!" he knelt down and carefully examined the side of one of the empty areas. "I'd love to have some of these for my home..." He stood up again, humming happily as he walked forward and took a look at the menu on the wall. "I wish more places were like this. Now, let's see... I am pretty hungry, so what looks good? I don't suppose you have any recommendations, miss?"

Servant

The entire shop began to shake as wind swirled and the spirit dissipated it's disguise, raising it's hand. There, standing in the midst of the shop was a cloaked figure atop a black horse which seemed to breath a dark red glow with each breath. The blade in it's hand burst into fire, and it threw the weapon at the table Percy had been marveling at with such enthusiasm, the wood catching fire in an instant. ". . ." The horse kicked up on it's haunches, and let out a hollow howl that would send shivers down the spine of even the mightiest men, while the rider drew from it's sheath a long and serrated blade, a sword that seemed palpably evil, as if it had sucked blood from a thousand dead men and still thirsted for the lives of many more before it was finished. Whatever the reason for it's appearance, one thing was clear at this point...the Assassin intended on slaying Percy, as a participant or witness, and would then destroy this shop as a challenge to the unwitting contestant hiding here before.

Percy

"Wah!" Percy said, grabbing a cloth and rapidly fanning at the flames. "You monster! I think that was an antique!" After a number of rapid, pant-inducing flaps, he finally managed to more-or-less put the fires out... but the table itself seemed like it was completely ruined anyway. "That was very rude, you know! Why I oughta getouttahererightnow!" Quick as a flash, he hopped over the counter and darted into the back part of the store, apparently trying to get away from the mounted servant. Of course, there was always just crashing through the wall or something (a completely realistic ability for even a weak Servant), but who knew what various things might be hidden back there? Like, say, knives... or boiling oil... or maybe super-hot sauce that could be splattered all over Assassin's face! Ha ha, even the greatest of Servants might have problems with spice! Or something. But Percy certainly didn't seem to have any intention of staying around...

Servant

Just as Percy had thought, the walls were quite fragile to a Servant; and suddenly the blade he'd seen before darting to the back room pierced the wall in an attempt to skewer the young looking man's head. All along the edge of the blade the metal let off a dark red, molten glow as if it had been super heated, and as he withdrew the blade the Servant's horse let out another ethereal snort. The doorway was a bit small for the Servant atop his steed, but with a quick slash the lintel went falling to the dirt and the Servant strode into the back area of the restaurant. As it did the creature reached to it's side and drew what looked like a human weapon, a pistol that smoked at the muzzle as if it were hewn from the same unnatural fire as his blade. ". . ." Although the area within the restaurant was disadvantageous to the mounted warrior, he made no motion of leaving his horse; perhaps due to some otherworldly attachment, or perhaps, because this area soon would be nothing and it would be he who held the advantage over his foe in terms of speed.

Percy

Even as the Servant moved and carved through the wall, Percy was acting. Somewhere along the line, he had obtained a reflective disc of some sort, which looked rather like a shield... and he carefully edged towards the back door, keeping it held up in front of him as a barrier between his body and the flaming, stomping servant. That had destroyed a beautiful wooden table for no other reason than to be a terrible person. That was just sad... It hadn't even done anything to him other than be pleasant and attractive. But some beings just couldn't appreciate nice things... and if you didn't have those, what was the point of moving around? As the other Servant began to draw its pistol, Percy finally made it to the door, hopping outside and out of sight. Of course, he didn't seem fast enough to totally escape, but for just a few moments (assuming his foe pursued him, which was fairly like) he was out of sight.
