This was about the third time this week that Megrez had felt a Chaos aura (or was it a set of Chaos auras? She couldn't quite tell yet) coming from a certain alley in Destiny City. This consistency couldn't be a coincidence. This was definitely someone's hideout. But perhaps it would be best to confirm if there was really someone there...? Perhaps it was just Megrez struggling with the idea that there was indeed someone or something she could hunt. Oh, she had been quite indoctrinated in terms of what she had to do, alright. She had not forgotten the incident with Mica and the lecture Gunn had given her afterwards. Yet, some part of her was still resistant to the idea of actively going out and clobbering something that wasn't a youma. Some part of her still paused at the idea of actually going out and starting a fight. Under the control of that pause, Megrez just stared at the alley suspiciously, waiting for whatever lay within to come to her.

Penthesilea very rarely hesitated to approach Chaos auras, and so the Super Senshi was already well and on her way to the alley when she spotted Megrez. A grin split her face - good, a partner, at least for the evening.
"Gonna stand around, or gonna help me ******** up some Chaos a*****e's day?" She asked, by way of a greeting, because Penthesilea absolutely despised dancing around subjects. Instead, she would be up-front, direct, perhaps a little overintense. Her voice was loud enough to carry, and she could feel the aura moving, suddenly, towards them.
"Ain't a lot of time t'choose, honey."

Megrez quickly turned her head towards Penthesilea, then towards the alleyway. She could feel the aura moving closer too, and it undoubtedly wouldn't be long till whatever was there jumped out. She made her decision quickly. "Yes, I'll help!" Backing away just a bit so that whatever was approaching wouldn't slam into her, she cupped one hand and summoned an egg to toss into the attacker's face, though she would wait to throw it till the target was a bit more visible. Maybe the momentum of the attacker would make the egg crash into his or her face even harder (or something like that).

Penthesilea laughed. "Good." She said, and then she crouched, fully prepared to launch herself at whatever poor moron was walking out. As it turned out, it was a Lieutenant, a boy wielding what looked like an inflatable pirate sword, who looked suddenly very terrified to be confronting a Super and a Basic Senshi.
"H-hey," the Lieutenant said, swinging his sword half-menacingly, "get outta here, or I'll - I'll really mess you up!"
Penthe roleld her eyes, and then launched herself forward, an attempt to tackle her target.

When Megrez saw the lieutenant's weapon, she couldn't hold back a laugh. Could she just pop that thing and leave him weaponless? She'd have to find out later. Since Penthesilea was going in for melee, she'd have to use another egg to get him from afar. "Look out below!" she called out, and lobbed the egg in a steady arc so that it would (hopefully) sail over Penthesilea and land straight on top of the lieutenant's head. If she missed, though, she was going to have to punch in (literally) through another angle; she didn't really like to use her last egg unless it was an emergency.

Penthesilea kept low, ramming into his side and sending him off his feet just in time for him to take Megrez's attack straight on the head. He yelped when his head hit the concrete, and Penthe felt hands in her hair, yanking aggressively.
"Hair-pullin'? Really?" She asked, her voice sarcastic as she drove an elbow into his gut. "Hey, girlie, just so we've got it outta the way, what're your morals on killin' the enemy?"

Score! That egg would probably take at least a little while to wash out of his hair. But man, this other senshi was brutal, a tough customer for sure. Then again, Megrez should have expected some show of power from a Super-level senshi. The question made Megrez blink. "Uh..." She recalled the lectures she had received from Gunn and Megiddo about how the Negaverse consisted of bloodthirsty fiends who were not to be trusted, much less allied with. One dead Negaverse officer meant bunches of lives saved, yet Megrez... simply wasn't at that point yet. "You've gotta do what you've gotta do, but I don't think I'd be able to do that. Yet." The final "yet" was hesitant and quieter than the rest of the sentence. Would she be able to kill someday? She didn't know.

Penthesilea drove her nails into the Nega's wrists, making him yelp and release her hair, and then rolled off him and onto her feet. She took a few steps back, to give the other Senshi a chance to get in a hit or two.
"Long as y'don't get in my way when I do it," Penthe said, a grin spreading across her face as she bounced on her heels. She let the Nega stagger up, and he was obviously dizzy and stumbling. This was going to be way too easy.

"Uh, okay. Wait, are you going to...?" Megrez figured that it wouldn't be a good idea to finish that sentence with "kill this one" right in front of the target. Nonetheless, she took her cue and gave the lieutenant a swift body blow that knocked the wind out of him. The feeling of her fist against his body felt satisfying, somehow, more satisfying than fist-on-punching-bag or fist-on-instructor. It wasn't much, but it was a tiny contribution to the war on Chaos.

Penthesilea shoved the Lieutenant at Megrez. She was entirely willing to let the other Senshi have some practice. "Well, yes, that's th'plan," she said, and her voice was eager, excited.
The Lieutenant looked terrified, and he swung his sword desperately at Penthesilea while flailing an arm at Megrez.
"You're both crazy!" He declared loudly, and everything about him bespoke terror.
For Penthe, that only made the whole experience more fun.

"Uh." Some part of Megrez wanted to say "no, wait, just let this one go," but then she remembered that Penthesilea told her not to get in her way. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to try and keep her from doing anything, even if Megrez was feeling a little nervous about being a potential murder witness. Instead, Megrez just decided to play along. "We're not crazy. We're senshi, and you're a Negaverse guy," she said, and then landed a solid right hook to the lieutenant's jaw. Penthesilea's enthusiasm for beating up agents of Chaos was contagious; Megrez couldn't hold back a short, sharp laugh when her fist met his face. For some reason, this other senshi made the war on Chaos feel "fun."

Penthesilea laughed. "An' you, my very foolish friend, are just unlucky enough t'be caught by onea th'few Senshi who actually takes this war seriously." So far Megrez seemed pretty good too, but Penthe didn't particularly like to judge on brief first impressions.
Her knee come up to drive directly into his solar plexus, and the Lieutenent doubled over.
"Take 'im off 'is feet an' I'll finish this." She directed Megrez.

Megrez wanted to say Hey, I take this war seriously, too, but there wasn't really time for that. Besides, she'd probably be able to prove that later. Probably. She took Penthesilea's order with a "Gotcha!" and delivered a low sweeping kick that knocked the lieutenant off his feet (literally). "Go, go, go!"

Once Megrez took him down, Penthesilea rapidly stomped on his throat, leaning in with all her weight and the pointy end of her heels. There was a low gurgle, and he thrashed and struggled for a few (too many) moments, and then he stopped.
"Well!" Penthe said, stepping off. "That was fun." She grinned. "Y'seem like a pretty tough girl, an' I admit, I'm lookin' for folk like that. Y'ever considered joinin' a team?"

Megrez had to look away. Damn, this girl really was going to kill the guy! She was unprepared, and the noises made her wince. An acute sick feeling curled up in her stomach. When Penthesilea spoke, Megrez jolted slightly, trying to shake off the sick feeling. "Is he...?" She couldn't finish that sentence, partly out of disbelief that the event had actually happened. At least Pen gave her something else to focus on. "Heh, you think so?" She was flattered that someone like Pen considered her tough, but she doubted she really held a candle to her. "A team? Well, it'd be nice. Are you part of a team?" Then Megrez realized something: there had been no time for introductions, so obviously they hadn't been done. "By the way, I'm Megrez, Senshi of Eggs. What's your name?"
