Personality
- Aza could be described easily with three words when one first meets her; Obedient, quiet, and uptight. She is a hardworking gal who doesn't need to ask a lot of questions or be told directions to get something done. She won't talk much to anyone who she doesn't know and may even ignore a person she doesn't know well. This gives her an uptight appearance. Underneath her hard exterior, though, she has compassion and respect for all life.
Her hardworking attitude towards everything she does makes her a good friend, because she will make it her goal to never let you down. This could be both a good quality and bad. Depending on how much she respects a person, she will listen to them and take into consideration their thoughts, actions, and feelings on a matter. This makes her almost naïve to anything someone tells her if she trusts them.
This does not mean, though, that she won't voice her own opinions because she's quiet or goes along with whatever. She does not speak if she doesn't feel it is necessary, and gets quite aggressive when she does finally speak her mind.
In game, she isn't a bit different. She has gotten in trouble many times for being so involved in her games that she has forgotten to eat or sleep. She goes along with the plot lines and often finds herself in conflict between good and bad because both sides make a good case more often than not. This makes her a neutral character most of the time, unless one side truly sways her to act differently.
As soon as she decides what she wants to do, though, she plunges right into it. Both aggressively and with as much power as she can. She would never be able to raise a lax Pokémon, only those with good work ethic.
Appearance
- [ Since I'm still purchasing an image, She's short, with long brown hair that is put into a bun while leaving a long tail that she braids from it. Her eyes are slate grey, which reflect whatever color is most prominent around her, like mirrors. She wears her favorite pleather dark grey jacket at all times, along with her black combat boots. The only accessory she has is a piercing in the middle of her collar bone, where an opal sits as if hanging from an invisble chain.]
History
- [ Aza grew up on a farm in Ohio, raising horses with her parents that they would take and sell down in Kentucky. From the time she could walk, she was working in the stalls. Her mother was unable to have more children after Aza was born, so they family business was going to be left to her one day. As soon as the child came to understand what this meant, work for her became more than just recreation. Her whole life revolved around farming and related stable hand work. One day, though, when Aza was twelve years old, her aunt and uncle, the family's oldest son, had a baby boy. From there it was decided that instead of Aza, her cousin would one day own the family business.
While this discouraged Azariah somewhat in her work, her family still urged her to work hard towards her own goals, letting her know that she should appreciate not having the burden on her shoulders anymore. So she took their advice and worked towards things she was interested in, which happened to be herding. But that still did not take up all the time she then had to spend now that she wasn't planning on owning a business. The young girl found Pokémon then.
First, it started out with watching one episode on Saturday morning, but it quickly escalated for years to come as she discovered more and more of the Pokémon world. She didn't feel bad for spending so much time in game or online, because she always made sure to put real life first. She was avid about them though, and even went so far as to visit Columbus for a convention, though that was only once. Aza never owned a 3DS, since they cost a pretty penny and she worked all on her own, but she was glad to use the 3DS lite for the GBA games and original DS games.
She never thought much about her obsession with Pokémon, really. She played the TCG, online and at the local hobby shop on Tuesdays, owned the games, watched the anime, read the manga, all of it. She even sent a letter once to Nintendo and Game Freak about her appreciation for the thought and time they put into everything, but again, she never thought it would lead to much. She was just doing what came naturally to her. Her life consisted of school, work, and Pokémon. Until she graduated, that is.
One of her best friends on the last day of senior year convinced Aza to go get a piercing with her. Of course, always trusting and going along with her friends as long as she didn't have any truly good reason not to, Aza agreed. She got a chest piercing just below the middle of her collar bone, where and oval opal now sits. When she got home, no one really noticed because it looked like a necklace, but eventually she was caught and grounded from video games for two months. Aza wasn't too sure it had been worth it in the end, but she wouldn't trade the memory for anything.
In the end, though, tragedy struck in her family when little Tobias, the new inherit of the business, got extremely ill. At only six years old, he was diagnosed with cancer and given extreme treatments that led to Leukemia. Once again, Aza took on the role of future family head. Coming to terms with this meant there would be no time for Pokémon in her life. She wasn't upset, and didn't ever question the life her parents set before her. Until the day, that is, a letter from Nintendo and Game Freak came through.
Deciding for once on her own, she decided to have one last go with Pokémon and go to Kyoto with the invitation.]
