The Void is a realm between the physical and spiritual planes of reality, one that is dark and cold. The darkness appears to be neverending, and there are few ways of entering short of being invited. Despite the darkness, there stands one tree, barren and dead in appearance, yet gives off a luminous glow that lights up the surrounding area. The light is from the Souls that have been captured by Thresh, yet were spared from being consumed and now serves as an alternate source of energy.

In the cold and darkness of the Void, a bright circle of light appeared. It hovered a few inches off the ground as a head and leg stepped through, followed by the rest of Thresh's body as he stood at full height after emerging from the portal. His hand hovered over the skull like attachment at his hip as his lantern shot out and hung from a chain, floating a few inches from his open hand. He raised the lantern up, illuminating the area with the ghostly green glow cast by his lantern as he tapped his foot, waiting to see if the two from the human realm would have followed him here. Before anyone would manage to get through he looked around, trying to look for someone.
Ugh...If he went out for a walk then I'm gonna be a terrible host...
Lily remained quiet as she arrived into the world she was used to portal jumps due to using them in the past so she wouldn't get lightheaded from the portal like the demon said, but regardless she just looked around the dark world "how does anyone live in a dark place for even a day" she thought to herself

Thresh raised the lantern higher and waved it around in the dark as if he were looking for something or someone. He looked over his shoulder and saw Lily and Cedrick entering into the realm. He turned to face them and 'scratched' his head. He chuckled in response to Cedrick's initial comment of the place before answering him.
I'm glad you noticed it. It's a nice place once you get used to it after a while. Just give him a sec, he usually pops up out of nowhere. Hope you don't get heart attacks easily.
The second Thresh finished his sentence, the portal they had entered through vanished and the room seemed to get colder. Dark mist swirled around their feet as it started to spiral upwards and took on the form of a tall man with his face obscured by a mask with a white 'x' over the mouth. The figure strode past Lily and Cedrick towards Thresh.
I see you've brought some guests over, and by the looks of it, they came without you forcing them...
When Daemon reached Thresh he stopped and then turned around, picking their faces out in the dark. He raised an eyebrow when he picked out their faces, barely recognizing the male from when Death City was under siege and the fox eared girl more vividly from a bout with Gilag and another demon.
It's good to see you alive and well young one...I see that time has treated you well since we last met..
Cedrick noticed the man but was couldn't fully remember. "Treated us well?" Cedrick asked with a sarcastic chuckle. "Both of us fought a kishin, I'm here suffering from the heavy use of my powers. Glad to see someone as grim looking as you can crack a joke." He said commenting on Daemon's dark appearance.
Lily looked at where Deamon cam from "seriously..him?" she asked she was not happy about who popped up, rather one of the lat people she wanted...he had already tried to stop her from protecting the city by helping the enemies. "if his help is giving us a mask ill gladly decline" she stated

Daemon cocked an eyebrow in response to both of their remarks. He rolled his eyes as he turned around and waved Thresh to go to wherever he did. Thresh walked away only pausing briefly at the only other source of illumination in the Void, a large and barren tree that seemed to glow. As Thresh raised the lantern to the tree the souls trapped within his lantern seemed to flow out like smoke and gravitate toward the tree. Daemon looked at Cedrick and Lily.
Good to know your memory is still intact young one, although I'm sure we both remember the same event differently...If you are referring to them they won't be much of a bother to you or your friend. Besides...They are only a source of power, which is the only help they can give to someone...
When Daemon mentioned 'them' he shook his head in the direction behind him which three robed figures stood, each wearing a different mask. The Masks that Lily had mentioned were each Kishins in themselves that had bound themselves to Daemon's higher control. They simply stood in silence, staring at Cedrick and Lily before retreating into the darkness. Daemon raised his left hand up and the shadows around Lily and Cedrick swirled rising up to form seats for them to sit down on. Daemon looked at Lily and Cedrick, his arms folded over his chest.
So you are injured...Have a seat...Don't worry I can fix you up good as new...Meisters and Weapons always seem to over exert themselves in the presence of Kishin it seems...Don't worry Thresh and I mean you no harm unlike most Kishins out there...Just make sure you don't become one of his rivals otherwise that might end poorly for you....
Cedrick was concerned about the masked figure even after they disappeared. "Glad to see more passive Kishins around." Cedrick said not really knowing a proper word for his host.
Lily just looked at Deamon "why wouldnt it be intact...idont have brain damage" she told him before sitting down cross legged still staring at him "its because they have more sould from which they most of the time stole to bcome what they are...it hard to fight that with only one soul"

Daemon turned around to face the glowing tree in the darkness of the void as he outstretched his hands to it. The foggy glow from the tree seemed to shift around as it flowed like smoke in a dance that flowed from the branches and arced gracefully around his hands and arms. After they shifted and Daemon had enough he withdrew his hands as the glow that encased his arms seemed to move towards two points, one on each hand until they consisted of what looked like a glowing sphere with smaller spheres orbiting around the larger one, much like an atom if it had a single core rather than multiple. When Cedrick spoke, Daemon sighed.
There are few demons like that around unfortunately...Most usually fall mad and become power hungry, trying to attain a form higher than Death can imagine, others like me...Well we simply do not see the point in fighting unless it is absolutely necessary... Here... Hold these for a moment...
Daemon walked over to where Cedrick and Lily were sitting as he crouched and held his hand along with the glowing spheres in them out to them, with the notion that they should grab them. Upon hearing Lily's remark and looked at her.
You misinterpret my past young one...But then again so did many others before you...I am no Kishin, not in my own eyes at least...I have simply been forced into the life of one...I will admit it was difficult at first to handle the power of three powerful Kishins, but I found that I have another soul...But that is a long and old tale...
Cedrick held on to the orb. His curiosity took hold and he looked into it trying to a solve a mystery. "Yeah." He said going back to Daemon's statement. "Why can't they be happy with the great power they already have. Even if they want more power peaceful methods can always be attempted." He said agreeing with his host's idea of only necessary violence."What is this light by the way?" Cedrick asked not able to figure out the orb.
Lily grabbed her orb and imply looked at it obly to hear his response "is there a reason why...im 'young one'?" she asked "im older than him yet im the one who is young?" she asked she heard the entire thing and understood what he said, but it was the first thing she wanted to bring up. "and i dont think one can be forced upon as a kishin.."

Daemon looked at the two as he waved his arms in the air. Dark needle thin tendrils rose up from the ground and pierced the orbs of light. Small goblets of light spaced out evenly against the dark tendrils as Daemon spoke to answer Cedrick first.
Because power corrupts...Once demons acquire power they go mad, and will do whatever it takes to acquire it. Both Humans and Demons alike become corrupt. It's how great civilizations fell and powerful people died...And this light is just the souls of people Thresh has collected from ages past...
Before Daemon spoke the last sentence the dark tendrils dove at their wounds, moving through them like a sewing needle, stitching their wounds shut. As the small globs of light touched their skin they flashed briefly as they healed damaged tissue. What remained was just a faded scar of where the wounds were. The process was rather quick and was finished by the time Daemon stopped speaking. Then Daemon turned to Lily and spoke.
Because I predate both of you, back a little after Asura was around...To me you are both children... And you'd be surprised by what can happen...If you don't believe it, then I am living breathing proof...
"That is what I fear will happen to my someday." Cedrick said to Daemon. The tendrils went into Cedrick's skin healing his wounds. "I love knowledge but I know has happened to those who search for knowledge, they find more then they want." He said.
