*~::Sapporo J.R. Tower::~*
[The Third Holy Grail War]
A massive, tower shopping center in which can be found an Arcade, a cinema, restaurants, and various other locations on the 50 floors of the Tower. The top of the Tower is one of the highest points in the city, and perhaps the best elevated locale for a battle between masters and servants...but atop the Tower can sometimes be found a man in a white suit with blond hair, watching the chaos with a smile.

If you meet him, who knows what it might foretell...

Louis Cyphre, Lord of Flies
"May this War be the Spark which lights your path."

"The things these humans will call a War," an elegant voice tsk'd at the top of the JR Tower as the sun began to fall over the city of Sapporo, seeming more amused than anything by the prospect of the great pall that was about to fall upon the city of demons, "And yet, there can be no greater heresy than for the Lord of Flies to drink from the Cup of Life. An opportunity I can't simply ignore." His fingers pulled forth a cloth and examined it, the fine remnant of ages long past, and he imagined the man to whom it had once belonged. Even the Lord of Flies knew that such a man wouldn't lower himself so far as to be subservient to him. That didn't matter, though. It would be fun to extract what interesting events he could from him before the whole thing came to its conclusion. Yes...the strongest Servant for the strongest Master...what a joke that of all the creatures in the universe, he would be one to inherit three Command Seals! And yet here he was, standing over the blood circle laid out upon the rooftop with the Relic of the King of Heroes clutched between his fingers...

"King of Heroes, come forward and hear my command," the simple command slipped from his lips but echoed in the night air...and as the circle began to shimmer with a golden light, a figure slowly emerged, summoned forth in response to the ritual, "Borrow my power to take form within this world, and in return, let us bring chaos to this war for the Holy Grail. Gilgamesh...Strongest of all Heroic Spirits." In a flash of brilliant power the ritual was finished, and with icicle-blue eyes the Fallen Angel looked upon a King, standing on the edge of the tower's top in golden armor with his back to the devil that had summoned him. His hair as well was golden, shimmering earrings glistening in the moonlight as he looked out across a world that in his own mind already belonged to him. He didn't need his master to tell him that there was more afoot at this summoning than a simple introduction. Though he wasn't simply about to listen and obey for anyone, least of all a King of Devils who thought himself capable of commanding the King of Kings.

The Golden Archer, King of Heroes
"This world is my garden, and every treasure in it belongs to me."

"Now, this is a surprise...what is the meaning of this summoning, Lord of Flies? Do you believe that I would assist you in your conquest of this world? If so, you are sadly mistaken," his eyes shifted over his shoulder coldly, a confident stare perhaps surprising for most when faced with such a formidable summoner...and yet, there was an unshakeable confidence in him, a truly royal countenance not at all troubled by the monster standing at his back, "No, that's not it. I imagine your interest in the Grail to be no greater than my own. ...What a truly interesting summons." His eyes turned back to the city below, a world which he considered to be his very own...and every treasure in it belonged to him, the Grail just another amongst the endless treasury under his command. And yet to let even one of his treasures be taken from under his nose was akin to granting clemency to a thief. He had absolutely no intention of that. "Go on then, tell me what it is you desire, and only then will I decide whether or not to entertain your request."

"As expected, your power and arrogance surpass even the legends, King of Heroes. You truly are the most interesting Servant of them all. I was right to call upon you," the Master smirked as he stood opposite the Servant he had called forth, arms crossed casually as the two spoke in a sort of dangerous dance of wits, "You're right, however. My interest in the Grail is no more than a passing fancy; the heresy of desecrating the Cup of Life is tempting, but the chaos of this war will be much more interesting than all that. I'd like for you to become my instrument in making this world all the more...interesting. Such a proposition surely wouldn't displease you, would it? I'd ask only that you take what actions most interest you, and to slaughter those who displease you without any remorse. Are these acceptable terms?"

...

"And why should I believe words spoken with your forked tongue? Your talent for deceit is legendary; do you think that you can use me, Lord of Flies? That would be a most dangerous mistake to make..."

"On the contrary, if you feel as though I'm not being forthright with you, you are more than welcome to try and kill me."

"Do you think that I won't?"

"I'm certain you'll try."

...

"At least you're not boring, Lord of Flies. Very well. I'll accept your summons, but know that I do not consider you to be either my Master or Ally."

"I expected nothing less from you...Gilgamesh."

"Master, it seems that there's been a development at the Coliseum. Several Servants and Masters have revealed themselves, and it seems this war will start with nothing less than an all out brawl." Wei grinned as he offered a courteous bow, crossing an army over his chest as reported on the interesting little development. The Holy Grail War had only just begun, and already there was strife building amongst the contestants. If he had the time, he would have quite enjoyed appearing himself, but his connection to his Servant allowed him to learn everything about their battle without having to cross the distance. "My Servant is already there, gathering information as we speak. Soon we will know the strengths and abilities of several of our foes."

Wei stood to attention, glancing at his hand where the Command Seals resided. He could hear his Servant's thoughts through them, and he himself had great interest in what was about to occur. So many fools, fighting for the right to take home a Grail, willing to spill blood for some profane object that might even lack the power of the original. He...he wanted to crush them all, and the opportunity to use his Servant to do so was very nearly at hand. "Assassin, hear me. If any Masters leave themselves vulnerable, feel free to take the opportunity and kill them! There's no room for mercy, OR the foolish in this war." Although he felt that using a Command Seal to force the issue home was possible, Wei knew that his Assassin had no qualms with the order. Taking the lives of the others would be his specialty, and with so many loose threads dangling about...he'd be sure to pull at at least one of them.

Gilgamesh, King of Heroes
"This world is my garden, and every treasure in it belongs to me."

It was a joke. That's all it was, that spectacle down at the Coliseum. His lips met the crimson wine within his jeweled goblet and he tasted its glorious contents...mere trifle compared to some of the other treasures within his stores. He sat upon his throne at the top of the JR Tower and watched the city below, his eyes perceiving those who would pretend as though they had a chance at this Holy Grail War. Filthy thieves, mongrels, that's all that they were. It was nothing but a child's fantasy that they could achieve victory in any competition which included the King of Heroes. Such naivete had no place in the world...his world. Only those who knew their place, those like his master and his servants, had any business traipsing in the gardens of Gilgamesh.

"What utter nonsense. Such a ragtag collection of Heroic Spirits would deign to call themselves Kings? It's practically an insult to the term," the golden-armored hero scoffed as he glanced over at Wei, whose report was meant for the ears of Gilgamesh's own 'Master'. The blond man stood next to the throne of his 'Servant' and simply kept his eyes trained on the city, as if waiting for any event that could spark his interest...or provoke any sort of reaction worthy of his time. Instead, he left it to the King of Heroes to answer the news of the 'development'. After all, whether or not the Archer took action in this war had been left entirely up to the Servant, himself. "That's fine. Let them destroy themselves as they wish. I can see it all...every blasphemy they spit from their crooked mouths. I'll be sure they receive their punishment in due time..."

The cup raised itself to his lips again and he took a luxurious sip. King of Conquerors...King of France...? There was only one King Amongst Heroes. They'd learn that fact soon enough.

Faye Laforet and Caster

User ImageUser ImageThe elevator door opened with a little 'ding', a woman with short white hair in a suit walking out, dull purple eyes shifting every now and then to look at the shadowed corners of the seemingly abandoned place. Her servant had insisted...and despite the wicked smiles and untrustworthy glances, the member of the Amakusu knew the woman to be cunning. Even if she didn't share the Servants tactics...she went along with it. It was now that she'd find out if she had been right in doing so.

"Good evening..." Even if she had her reservations about the outcome of this visit, her voice came out smooth and clear...almost business like. "I'm-" Another voice interrupted her, her Servant materializing beside her, fingers playfully pressed to the lips, concealing an amused smile. "That's no way to address a King, dear..." Caster chuckled, before returning her gaze to the front. "My King of Heroes... I apologize the rude intrusion... I ought to have been...clearer with you last night... though, it would be foolish to think you don't know about me already..."

"I am Semiramis, Queen of Assyria...and I would like to ask for your assistance..."

Gilgamesh, King of Heroes
"This world is my garden, and every treasure in it belongs to me."

There were many levels of the JR Tower; some provided entertainment, others sustenance, while many were simply shopping terminals for humanity to feed their greed and gather more and more stylish possessions to set themselves apart from the rest of the common rabble. In the end, though, it was a futile endeavor...humanity could strive all they wished and never achieve the nobility and regal poise of a true King of Kings. Any attempts to dress themselves up were simply jockeying for the pole position in the Race for Second Best. There could be only one true King, and everything that the rest pursued were simply treasured borrowed from their Lord. This Tower was a monument to the foolish greed of human beings, of all the various ways they had discovered to distract themselves from that undeniable truth. And that was why this Tower was the perfect location for the King of Heroes and his so-called 'Master' to set up their base of operations, taking over what most humans would have considered their own personal 'Mecca' and proclaiming it the temporary seat of their new Order. And it was at the top level below the rooftop, a penthouse for only the most distinguished guests of the building's proprietor (one of the many aliases of one Louis Cypher) to the city of Sapporo., that both Faye and her Caster emerged in search of the two that they likely already knew were to be found within.

...Their approach had been detected long before they ever reached the Tower. And seated by the window in a luxurious chair almost akin to a throne, sipping wine from a golden goblet, wearing a loose-fitted white shirt and a kingly golden necklace as he watched them approach was none other than the King of Heroes. His eyes found them immediately and his informed smirk told of his awareness of their approach to greet him. Faint amusement flickered in his gaze as he watched the Master begin to speak, her informal 'hello' replaced by the 'Queen of Assyria' and her formal greeting. His lips curled faintly in a small level of entertainment.

"Well, well...your manners do seem to have improved from our last encounter, Queen of Assyria. And you are also correct in your guess that I've long since deduced your identity. After all, it was my hereditary Kingdom whose throne you usurped to obtain the title of 'Queen'," he took a drink and watched her with predatory eyes, the loaded words in his declaration taking a moment to sink in...to let her wonder if he withheld information until now of a grudge against her for what she had done to her King more than two-thousand years ago. The pregnant silence filled the air as he lowered the cup, and a few moments passed like hours, until at last he spoke again, that same commanding and amused tone breaching it. Even speaking in confidence as they were now, Gilgamesh remained every bit the King and Hero. "Oh, don't look so surprised; if I wished to punish you for your transgression, I'd have killed you at that tower of rubble in front of that idiot Conqueror and all the other would-be Kings. As it happens, I find myself slightly interested in you. And your request for assistance intrigues me, though before I give any consideration to your request, I'd ask that you explain to me exactly why you think this is worthy of my noble attention."

His eyes found hers, a wolfish anticipation grabbing her attention...daring her to blink or look away from him now and incite his wrath...a silent challenge, judging her worth to stand before him and call herself Queen. Could she live up to the test?

"If you successfully amuse me, dear Queen of Babylon...as your benevolent King, I might even be willing to hear your supplication."

Gilgamesh, King of Heroes
"This world is my garden, and every treasure in it belongs to me."

His glorious countenance had clearly stunned them into silence.

Nonetheless, his eyes that watched them did not miss the epic struggle taking place elsewhere in the city, and while that match had been entertaining for a while...it was beginning to lose its charm even for the King of Heroes. In fact, he was finding himself more and more annoyed by the circular nature of the battle, until at last he could stand to watch such a pointless struggle no longer. What was the point of it, anyway? It was truly disappointing to have two evenly matched contenders battling against one another, and yet neither one seemed to be willing to take the risk that would either win them the duel or lose them the duel, one way or another. It was clear from the conservative approach that they both believed themselves to be contenders to win the entire tournament. And that, in and of itself, was enough of an insult to at last move him from his seat atop the tower.

"You'll have to pardon me, my self-proclaimed Queen, but there's another matter that requires my attention," he spoke as he stood suddenly, something akin to a fortress in the sky appearing just beyond the Tower...and with a single step he crossed from the top of the Tower to the platform and donned his golden armor, not bothering to look back at the peasants he was leaving behind. After all, even a Servant would be no threat to him. "You may regale me another time...for now, there are a pair of upstart knights who need to learn a valuable lesson about wasting a King's time."

No sooner were the words spoken than the platform...now appearing to be something of an aircraft...took off into the distance. The location it zeroed in upon was Odori Park...giving those who remained there only a few short moments before the King of Heroes arrived to greet them.
