Welcome to the world of never-ending starlight - Sidereus

Sidereus is one of the four sister worlds known as Omnerias, and it's a world placed upon a giant cloud in a blue sky that only turns dark for a couple of hours of night.
The tiny sun that circles around Sidereus is just big enough to produce daylight, but not big enough to give off much warmth.
Sidereus is a slightly cold world, and for the few hours that the sun is beneath it, and it's night, the temperature drops even lower.
Although there few hours of night in Sidereus, one can always see the countless stars in the sky, far off in the distance, as long as there are no clouds blocking the view.

OOC
Sidereus is part of Omnerias, and like its sisterworlds, it follows a certain set of rules.
Being a world tied to the stars, and to the element of air, all kinds of light magic, shadow magic, magic related to the sun and the moon, as well as magic tied to the element of air, is significantly stronger than any other kinds of magic.
Which means that a person using lightning magic, which is tied to air, will always be stronger than a person using earth magic, as long as they are within the boundaries of Sidereus.
In other words, this is a good place for any of your characters that relies on wind magic or any of the magic types mentioned above.

The setting is slightly modern, with a touch of fantasy, sci-fi and steampunk.
The temperature is slightly low - think autumn temperatures - and at night it drops to winter temperatures.
Your characters will freeze here, unless they're dressed well, or accustomed to cold weather due to magic/fur/whatnot.

Starbright Town ~

To the north-west in Sidereus is where you'll find Starbright Town.
It is one of the two only settlements in all of Sidereus, and the place where you'll find the Sidereus Academy of Flight.

The Main Hall ~

The Main Hall is the name of the largest building in all of Starbright Town, and it's the head office of the town officials, as well as an academy.
The students of Sidereus Academy of Flight all train in the arts of riding large birds into combat.

The Headmaster ~

Can I help you with something?

This is Sidereus Academy.
Students here train to become one with their bird-mount.
Are you, perhaps, a student...?
Or are you just a visitor?"

~ The Market
Looking for something in particular? Then the Market is the place to be.
Here you can find just about anything.
And, if you're looking for those really hard to get items, then you should look up the Black Market.
All sorts of things - some not so legal - can be found there.

The Starlit Hotel and Café ~

The Starlit Hotel and Café is a pleasant place to visit, either for a short stop for a meal, or a longer stay for a night or two.
The owner is also the head manager, and she runs most of the place on her own.

~ The Laboratory ~

It is still a bit unclear what, exactly, they are working on, but all of Sidereus seems to be funding the labratory.
Though the main lobby is open for visitors, the rest of the lab is off limits.
At least, that's according to the many signs placed around the building, but there aren't many guards to back that up.
What secrets does this place hold...?

Feather Wing ~

To the north-east is the area known as Feather Wing, named so because of the numerous bird species that inhabit the area.

Birdflock Fields ~

The perfect place to go birdwatching, or to catch yourself a bird mount.
There isn't much else to say about the area, cause so far no one has really bothered to properly explore it.

Constellation Wing ~

To the south-east in Sidereus is the area known as the Constellation Wing.

Camp Constel ~

The camp was not meant to be a permanent one, when it first was established, but it has now been around for a year.
And it's not really showing any signs of uprooting any time soon.
It was originally a band of researchers that set up the camp, hoping to learn the secrets of the Palace of Constellations.
Now it serves as a sort of town, made up entirely out of tents, and is a perfect place for weary travelers to stop by and get some rest.

"Oh, hey, you here to explore the Palace..?

This entire camp was set up by researchers, about a year ago.
Haha, it was meant to be temporary, but..
We're still here!
The camp has turned into a rather nice, and large, community."

~ Air Temple
The Air temple is impossible to access, unless you have wings, or a winged mount.
However, even if you make it over to where it's placed, on top of a floating isle, that still won't guarantee you access.
The temple doors are firmly shut, and no one has managed to figure how to open them.

~ Palace of Constellations ~

The mysterious Palace of Constellations is a place that has drawn in travelers and researchers for quite a while now.
No one can figure out its origin, as it's the only building in the entire dimension that hasn't been built by anyone.
It just appeared out of thin air one day, as if it was created by magic itself.

Woodland Wing ~

To the south-west is where you'll find the area known as the Woodland Wing

Divum Woods ~

The deep Divum Woods are filled with strange woodland creatures, and is not entirely safe to venture into.
Not much is known about the woods, cause few people dare venture into it.
And those who did dare? They never returned.

~ Magi Tree
On top of a floating isle is a giant tree name the Magi Tree.
Its roots grow through the entire isle, reaching down into the woods below.
It is believed that all the trees in Divum Woods all come from the Magi Tree's roots.

Twilight River ~

Surrounding the scentre of Sidereus is a large river named Twilight River.

Lake Sora ~

On the west side of the Twilight Isle is a small lake know as Lake Sora.
Considering how Sidereus is placed on a cloud, the lake is surprisingly deep.
So far, no one has managed to reach the bottom of it.
Could there be some mystery to this...?

Twilight Isle ~

In the scentre of Sidereus is where you'll find the Twilight Isle, floating un-connected to the rest of Sidereus.

Gears and Mechanics ~

In the middle of the Twilight Isle is a giant tower that seems to be running on mechanics of some sort.
On the 1st floor of this tower is a giant shop named Gears and Mechanics.
Exactly what it is that they're selling is a bit unclear, but the people in charge of the shop is... Charming.

The Mechanic

If one venture beyond the shop, you will find that there is far more to this mysterious tower than just gears and crazy mechanics.
The tower itself, the further up you get, seems to be filled with mysterious magics.
