Plot and Setting~ (map without text and un-darkened) Welcome to the world of eternal night - NoctemiaNoctemia is one of the four sister worlds known as Omnerias, and it's a world consisting of one ocean with a couple of continents on it. It is a nocturnal dimension with eternal night, and a summer that never ends, and there are no suns in the sky - only moons. There are 3 moons floating around in the sky - the largest of the three revolves around Noctemia and is, half of the time, below it. The smallest of the three moves around in a circle in the sky, while the middle moon is always standing still in the same spot. There are, however, distant "stars" that can be seen, though these are just the twinkling lights of other dimensions that Noctemia is closed off from.
OOC Noctemia is part of Omnerias, and like its sisterworlds, it follows a certain set of rules. Being a world tied to the moon, and to the element of Water, all kinds of dark magic, shadow magic, magic related to the moon, as well as magic tied to the element of water, is significantly stronger than any other kinds of magic. Which means that a person using ice magic, which is tied to water, will always be stronger than a person using fire magic, as long as they are within the boundaries of Noctemia.
The setting is a mix of modern and fantasy-ish, with a hint of.. Everything? The town runs on both electricity, as well as various types of magic, so it's hard to put an exact word on what the setting is. Being nocturnal, Noctemia is a pretty dark world, but the "days" when all three moons are in the sky, it becomes more like evening/dawn/twilight. Ish. The temperature is comfortable - not too hot nor too cold - and never really changes, unless you're in the Winterlands or the Desert, naturally.

Noctem Town ~ The town is the only real place where people live in all of Noctemia, as it's the only settlement in the entire dimension. Though there are those that have made their homes elsewhere, hidden from sight, all the main houses and buildings are all placed in the town. And it's in the town that the main access gate can be found, and the Green Dragon Tavern and Inn.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
The Green Dragon Tavern and Inn ~ Upon entering the Green Dragon Tavern and Inn, one is immediately struck by the warm atmosphere in the room, it's dark and brown interior inviting, and safe. There are people all around the tavern, making the place quite lively. Some are chatting over a nice cup of warm.. Something. While others are seemingly asleep on some of the couches, and even in the chairs. The bar serves drinks and foods for those in need, and the second floor holds rooms with comfortable beds for the weary. This is, most certainly, a haven for all travelers.
Tavern Bartender ~ currently hiring Tavern Chef ~ currently hiring
~ The Traveler's Shop Next door the Green Dragon Tavern and Inn, is where on can find the curious Traveler's Shop. This place seems to hold just about anything any adventurer might need - from bottles of potions to weapons and armour.
Shop Owner

Town Square and Access Gate ~
At the Town Square there are often various merchants setting up booths and tents, selling strange things from other worlds. This is also where you'll find the Access Gate that allows travelers to enter Noctemia. After Noctemia collided with her sister worlds, the world have started dragging in more and more people. The Access Gate was set up using magic, in an attempt to catch those whom Noctemia dragged in to make sure they landed in the town. Of course, magic is not flawless, so every now and then an unlucky traveler doesn't get caught by the gate and ends up somewhere else instead. It's also possible to leave Noctemia using the gate, but... You never really know where you might be sent off to. The magic is... Wobbly.
~ Various Homes of Importance The town has become rather bustling, as more and more people just keep getting sucked into Noctemia, and many of those people decided to stay. Making Noctemia their permanent home, many have set upon the task of building houses for themselves, helping Noctem Town to grow ever bigger. There are still many places to build houses, and there's also some buildings that are empty. If you wish to make your home here, then you are more than welcome to.
~ Town Library ~ South of the Town Square is a gigantic building that almost looks like a castle or a palace of some sorts. This is, actually, the library of Noctemia, and it is proud to say that it holds almost every book there is - from all the worlds. Just browsing through one of the many, many rooms of books would take countless hours. The Head Librarian is a woman by the name of Luna Ianthe. Just ask her if you're looking for a particular book - she knows her way around.Head Librarian ~ Luna Ianthe

Tower of the Magi ~ To the south of Noctem Town is a forest surrounding an ancient tower. The entire place reeks of magic, and most people avoid it at all costs.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
Surrounding Woods ~
The forest around the tower is even darker than the rest of Noctemia. It's as if the tiny speck of moonlight that brightens the place just can't seem to pierce the tree crowns. The woods themselves reek of magic, seeping out from the tower. It's not really a place for inexperienced adventurers.
~ The Tower The tower itsle is a place of extreme magic, constantly floating in and around it. Just getting close to the tower without being infected by the magic seems impossible. And how people react to the magic...? Well, that varies a lot on the person, and where it is from.
~ Room of Gates ~ If you manage to make it to the top of the tower, you'll come across the Room of Gates. This room is the origin of the magic that seeps out of the tower, as the magic concentrated here is powerful beyond imagination. The only thing that can be seen in this room, are three magical gates. One glows softly with an emerald light - One burns brightly with a ruby fire - One sparkles intensely with thousands tiny sky blue sparks
Where could these portals lead...?

Nocturnal Woodlands ~ Far to the east of Noctem Town is the largest forest in all of Noctemia - the Nocturnal Woodlands.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
The Woods ~
The Nocturnal Woodlands is a mysterious and enchanted place. Unlike the dark woods surrounding the Tower of the Magi, the magic of the Woodlands is not in the least bit sinister. Glowing plants and creatures can be found all around, brightening the place and making it seem more... Enchanting. Almost like a fairytale adventure.
~ The Fairy Tree In the middle of the woods is a meadow where the magical Fairy Tree stands tall. A myriad of fairies have made their home there, and they welcome any and all travelers into their meadow. Though the fairies are known to be quite the tricksters, they are also known for granting wishes...~ Lunar Fairy "Oh..?
This is the great Fairy Tree. The home of us fairies.
I am a Lunar Fairy. I was born from the moonlight.
I can grant wishes~"
~ Nocturnal Mines ~ North-east of the Nocturnal Woods, deep in the mountains, is where you'll find the Nocturnal Mines. These caves run deeper than one would think, and one could easily get lost inside.

Fields of Death ~ North of the Nocturnal Woodlands, and slightly to the east, is a giant field where nothing grows. Only death finds comfort in this place.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
Field of Graves ~
The vast field, surrounded by mountains, is covered in unmarked graves. Who placed these graves here..? And who are the many, many dead these graves belong to...? And, who is that creepy gravekeeper?
Gravekeeper ~
"Well..? You here for your grave arrangements? Don't worry. I've already started the digging.
...Don't get too close to Muttons. I'd rather he didn't get a taste for living flesh. Not that it would be hard to obtain, but... He gets the blood everywhere."
~ Temple of the Dead Goddess In the middle of the field of graves stands the ancient temple of a forgotten goddess. Legends say that a powerful goddes whom once ruled the realm of death itself has been chained up inside. The temple now stands as her eternal prison...

The Dark Winterlands ~ To the north-east in Noctemia lies a massive area completely covered in an eternal winter.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
Winterland Mountains ~
The mountains are cold, but when the moons are up high, lighting up the dark night, they can be quite nice. Nothing says romance like going skiing in the middle of the night, right?
~ Noctemia Lake Despite being surrounded by cold winter, the Noctemia Lake isn't frozen over, nor as cold as you'd think. Once you step away from the snow-covered shores, the water feels nearly warm. It's as if the entire lake is enchanted by some sort of magic.
~ Winterland Forest ~ The forest is vast and cold, yet many find it an interesting place to explore. The forest is home to a strange kind of fireflies that seems to thrive in the cold and the snow, unlike it's normal brethren. Many have gotten lost in the woods, following these strange creatures, never to be seen again.

Noctis Desert ~ To the north lies the desert of Noctemia, but to enter it one must make it through a horrible labyrinth - if you're walking. The best way to avoid the labyrinth - said to be haunted - is to have a boat and travel to the desert over the seas.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
The Labyrinth ~
The mysterious labyrinth is a horrible and haunted place, known to devour adventurers. Anyone whom has stepped inside has never been seen again. Some say they still wander the dark corridors of the labyrinth - as nothing more than mere ghosts.
~ Noctis Desert The Noctis Desert, unlike most deserts, stays at a constant temperature, similar to that of a hot summer night. And yet, not a drop of water - even when the rest of Noctemia is bathed in rain - ever falls on the desert.
~ The Oasis ~ In the middle of Noctis Desert stands a lone Oasis. It is a welcome harbour for anyone crossing the desert. Even though the desert may not be as warm as most deserts, it is still a dry and dangerous place to venture through.

Sea of Nocturnus ~ All of Noctemia is surrounded by water - one giant ocean named Sea of Nocturnus.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
~ Sea of Nocturnus
The seas themselves are deep and unexplored. Who knows what could be hiding deep at the bottom of this vast ocean..?
Crescent Isle ~ In the middle of the ocean that is at the scenter of Noctemia is where you'll find the Crescent isle. It's a small island, in the shape of a crescent moon. Nothing seems to grow there, except the small, sparkling purple flowers reflecting the moonlight.
~ Water Temple ~ If one were to dive down into the ocean, in the middle of Crescent Isle, one would find a deep trench. This trench is deeper than the ocean floor in the rest of the Sea of Nocturnus, and at the very bottom lies a hidden temple. The sacred Water Temple.

The Floating Plateau ~ Floating above a mountain with steep cliffs in the middle of Noctemia Lake, is a strange plateau. No one is able to reach the top of it, unless they can somehow fly.(clickable NPC pictures will take you to the NPC profile post for Noctemia)
The Plateau ~
The Plateau itself is actually quite large. In the middle stands a magnificent temple, and it is surrounded by a lake, and giant trees. The fruits that grow on these trees are said to have healing abilities. And, they are also said to bestow magical gifts upon those who eat them.
~ Temple of the Moon The sacred temple dedicated to an ancient Lunar Goddess stands in the middle of a lake. It is an elegant temple, with beautiful statues of the Goddess on every corner. The temple is said to be the oldest part of all of Noctemia.
