Chalcanthite sat at a Starbucks drinking his coffee, pondering how to go about regaining strength and dexterity in his left arm. As he sipped his double shot espresso an idea hit him, why couldn't he just ask one of the more physically trained officers to help him? After he finished his coffee he left the shop and headed back to his home before pulling out his communicator. It took him a moment to look up the info for Titanlåvenite because Desiree was busy rubbing against his leg to try and get his attention. "Down Desiree, I have buisness to take care of. I will give you a nice can of tuna later if you let me be for just a few moments" Will a soft meow she plopped down on the floor beneath his feet and swished her tail lightly over his toes.

"Hello Lieutenant Titanlåvenite, I was wondering if I could perhaps train at the gym with you as a form of physical therapy? My name is Captain Chalcanthite if you would like a name to match the voice. I can meet you at the gym if things work with your schedule." He pet Desiree with his foot as he clicked the communicator off before going to get a can of tuna from his cabinet for her to snack on.

She meowed and stood on her hind legs as he opened the can and placed it down in front of her before he began to scratch her on the head. "Who is a good kitty, you are sweetie. Now be a good girl while I go get better ok? No scratching up the piano again like last time." She nodded and started to eat the tuna as he gathered some things that would work as gym clothes. He really did not want to wear short sleeves because his scars would show so he put on a sweatshirt over his T-shirt. Wearing sweats seemed like a better option for him as well at first, at least until he felt comfortable about the damage that had been done to his body over the years even before he had joined the Negaverse. He would wait until he got a reply before actually getting anything else ready so that he wouldn't have to dirty too many clothes.

Titan was likely somewhat more savvy of his crystal communicator for once, rather then just forgetting it's existence tucked in his vambrace. The sound of a voice coming from it startled him just the same- he wasn't called on often for whatever reason.

The reason given was heartening- he had a usefulness to one of the superior officers! He'd never heard of the Captain on the other end, or at least thought he hadn't. A quick check in his small notepad of names to review and commit to memory didn't show it. Unless he'd spelled it wrong. He paused for a breath before replying since there was no good that would come of sounding more dumb than usual.

"I hear you Captain. I can meet you there in half an hour, if that is alright? The city main branch, the lobby if alright. I'm easy to spot in plain clothes- just look for Thor, " he gave the Æsir name with mirth and honestly instead of conceit- it was an often enough nickname ever since Harmony's photo shoot had won a prize and some publicity. It wasn't good to trade actual names over the comm, so the lieutenant didn't ask. Chalcanthite would be the only one coming up to him he wouldn't already know- OH

And therapy? That will be tricky. It will manage. Slow and steady...I will have to see what the problem and damage is and how far healed. Hopefully he will have talked to a doctor.


It would be so much faster if he could teleport like the captain could, but his own two feet had carried him fine before. They would do fine for now as well. Titan ran, taking a crows-flight path across buildings without fear. He'd been powered more than a year now, and had a pretty good hang on the limitations. He powered down at a side street a block from the gym, already in UnderArmor training gear and walked the last stretch to the gym. It wasn't too busy of a day, from the looks of it as he ducked the doors to go in and lifted a hand to at acknowledge the desk staff amiably.

Now...to find the Captain.

Aloysius chuckled slightly at the name he had been given, maybe they were a big superhero or mythology person. He carefully pulled on his sweatpants while he had a piece of buttered toast in his mouth. Desiree rubbed up against his leg as he packed a few things in a duffel bag to bring to the gym. A few bottles of water and powerade would be fine as well as a change of clothes that would suit him better once he was done for the day. Once he made sure he had everything he powered up and teleported to the alleyway behind the gym where he had often stood and smoked since nobody usually went back there. As soon as he arrived he powered back down into his sweats and walked around to the front of the gym in his sneakers.

He pulled out his cellphone to look at the time, it was about half an hour that had passed since he had called his fellow officer. He waved shyly at the desk staff before looking around for Thor. It only took him a moment to spot the man, he was quite... large and had the blonde hair just like the god of thunder himself. Aloysius looked down at himself and wondered for a moment at the fact that Thor's thigh was the same size as Aloysius's waist. After feeling slightly smaller than usual he walked up to the tall blonde fellow.

"Hello sir, are you my trainer?" Being polite as usual, he outstretched his left hand to shake as best he could. "I hope you were not waiting too long, I was having a few difficulties locating the correct attire for a gym. I am used to wearing more professional style clothing at all times so this is a bit odd for me." He half wondered if his hand might be crushed when the man shook it, somewhat regretting that his bad arm was the one he had offered up for shaking.

For all his size, Björn took the offered hand with practiced gentleness- one aware of his strength and very likely having encountered it going wrong. "I think I am. You can call me Björn, if that is all right? I can call you- ?"

Their ranks and call names would be no good here in public. It wasn't closed doors like someone's apartment or house, which could be dangerous enough. The captain was smaller than he'd expected, but that was actually usual. Very few people were his size. It made it feel more believable, in a way- captain's didn't need brute size to back up their prowess. They were just that amazing.

"It wasn't long. These clothes aren't so bad. What is important is that you can move in them, and they do not catch in equipment. Maybe some people worry about fashion, but it is not so important as long as you are getting a good workout. But you said physical therapy, so maybe we best start with what was injured and time ago? Have you been active since and how the injury feels. "

Aloysius nodded and shook his hand politely. "It is a pleasure to meet you Björn, my name is Aloysius." He was quite a massively built person in comparison to Aloysius's lanky stature. He had an interesting name though, perhaps it was foreign. He felt a little puny when standing in front of the giant who would be his trained.

"Yes I can move in them, I wore them when I would jog in the colder weather. But yes, my left arm was snapped backward at the elbow and my knee on that side was slightly misaligned from putting force on it wrong while attempted to get away. It was not very long ago, the cast was removed less than a month ago but I need to build up strength to practice my archery skills. I have been a bit active but I can feel that my strength in that arm has diminished a bit from what it was before."
He spoke quietly enough so that nobody would overhear them in case the senshi who had done this to him was nearby.

Any injury was terrible when it broke bones or strained connective tissue. Björn listened carefully and crouched, holding out hands to receive the arm in question gently, "May I?"

"Before you can work on strength, its going to be important to return flex and rotation to full. You have noticed that it does not so easily pull back where it should for a bow? You will need two or three days a week with light weights. But every day, twice each day, for about six weeks you will need to do the exercises I will show you. The joints need to be stabilized before they can take much weight. "

"What was your pull weight on your bow? "

With slight hesitation he let his bad arm rest in the giant's hands, half hoping he would refrain from pulling up the sleeve of the sweatshirt and revealing all the scars that it hid. He felt like a child that was having an adult look at a scrape in a way, it was odd to him but he had no idea of what he should do for regaining strength on his own.

"Yes, it has been difficult if not impossible for me to effectively use my bow. Sounds simple enough though for exercises. As for the pull weight, I believe it is sixty pounds. It is a longbow of sorts, it is rather nice but I received it at a poor time you could say."
He wondered what kind of training Björn did while he was here, probably bench pressing full grown adults or something along those weight lines.

"I am ready to start whenever you are, I have yet to really come here so I am unsure of where everything is located."

Unfortunately for Aloysius, Björn did not refrain. one massive paw scrunched the sleeve up well past the elbow to the most usual place around bicep to reveal all the workings of the elbow joint and forearm musculature. While the archer more fully explained, he moved the arm back and forth, examining the rotations and flexibility.

"The danger here will be to do too much too quick, " he didn't flinch, stare, or even seem to register the scars as abnormal. They seemed invisible except as considerations of possibly surgery that contributed to rehabilitation. "We'll start in one of the open rooms, with resistance bands. After warm up. Warm up and cool down are going to be very important for you. "

He let the other have his limb back and shifted to lead the way to one of the lesson rooms with a wall lined with cords, yoga mats exercise balls and other colourful implements. "You're going to need to do the warm up exercises every day once a day, and whenever you go to train, you do it before training and after for cool down. "

The warm up routine was straight forward sets - triceps stretch, biceps stretch, wrist flexor stretch, wrist extensor stretch, and pronation/suppination stretches for the wrist.

Aloysius shrieked internally as the thin white scars from his bad years showed as Björn inspected his arm and moved it around. A flash of horror had gone through his eyes for a split second but faded when no comments were made about the scars. It hurt slightly still but he hoped no comments would be made about what had been seen other than the break and the weakness it caused.

"I understand, that sounds like a good idea. What kind of warm ups should be done though, I have never really done anything physical besides playing instruments or moving furniture."
He nodded at the comments on the importance of warming up and cooling down then hurriedly rolled his sleeve back down. He felt like a small child as he followed the giant who was his trainer to the open room where they would begin.

He was slightly excited about all this but at the same time he was nervous because he was clueless on the purpose of most of the objects and machinery that were in the rooms.

"A good warm up relaxes the muscles, the central nerves and increases your power potential. A lot of people never train at their highest potential because they only doe a couple stretches they learned in gym class, run on a treadmil for five minutes and then jump right onto weights. Its just asking for joint surgery." He explained as they went through the routine with a deliberate pace.

"Plus if you injure one muscle set, it can effect pains and problems in a different area. Weak glutes could lead to knee pain, for example. So we'll do more than just your arm in the warm ups. "

"We want to get the blood flowing to clear waste from your muscle, bring fluid to the joint, and enhance your range of motion. The dynamic stretches will help with all of those- Quadruped Extension-Rotation to help your spine, ribs and shoulderblades. Then Scapular wall slides to build shoulder stability and activate your lower neck muscles." He helped to spot and correct posture all the while, counting the repetitions as they were done and demonstrating where needed.

When it was done, and blood flushed the other man's pale cheeks a little from boosted heart rate (showing the warm up was doing its job), Bjorn led to the free weights and machines. "There are 6 movement patterns for your upper body, which is where we're going to focus. Horizontal Push, Horizontal Pull, Vertical Push, Vertical Pull, Elbow Flexion, and Elbow Extension."

"We're going to start with the bench press and chest press machine, and do a flat, incline and decline of each. So go ahead and swing your leg over and get so that your eye level is here- " He stood at the spotting position and motioned.

Chal nodded and took in the information that as given to him. His knowledge was amazing and completely mind blowing. Chal had never thought about any of this really before since exercise and weightlifting were not a necessary thing for a musician and college student to have a vast understanding of. This probably was what lead to his downfall against the senshi he had fought, or maybe it was her rash and rushed attacks. But, that was another thing to process later altogether.

"I see..." He tried to make it look like he had any idea what was going on as he approached the bench, sightly sore already just thinking about what was next on the list of things to do. As he swung his leg over the bench he prayed to whatever may be out there that his arm would not give out and cause the weights to face check him. Curiously he mirrored the correct positioning and waited for further instructions from Björn. This would definitely be an interesting experience no matter what occurred.

The blow by blow of getting through the repetitions and the circuit of exercises was more straightforward and a lot more monotonous than explanations of the hows and whys of physical therapy. Björn guided and acted as spotter with practiced ease from years. The other gym goers who came and went on their schedules knew him, and gave the pair no extra trouble. As promised, a cool down period followed with more stretches and a five minute walk on one of the treadmills.

As they disembarked towards the exit, or showers, or the little cafe, Björn offered the final advice for their session, "Make sure to drink plenty today. You will feel sore tomorrow and the next, but keep stretching, hydrated, and use heat and ice compresses to help. It will only get better with steady care. "

And since the man was a captain, Björn assumed the man must have the dedication needed to keep to it and push through the inconvenience and pain.
