Nuru was having fun! He frolicked around like a pup, high on adrenalin and full to the brim with live. He paused his jogging for only the briefest of moments, to stop and observe how the scenery looked from here. The graveyard, his home, it was dull and lifeless as always. To most it was just plain unattractive of a dwelling; but to him it was gorgeous... In it's own way of course.
He dared himself to let loose a howl, however those were reserved for when hunters like himself actually managed to catch food. Nuru had bad luck with that, even if he was charging out here for the sake of hunting. Even if he had stayed up all night glaring at the moon as it briskly peaked through the fog. Dared did he, to thump his tail upon the ground and disturb the pack females with his happiness and impatient waiting for tomorrow to arrive. He tended to do that a lot, and then he'd bolt as soon as the sun's ray turned the everlasting dark of his homelands into a lighter shade of depressing grey. Today though he had been distracted and couldn't do such for a while, now it was good light out and he had to blink as he first stepped into the light of new lands.
He continued to stretch his legs forward, again, again, again! He wouldn't stop, couldn't stop running until-!
"Woah, WOAH, WOAH!!!~." He forced his feet onto the ground instantly, but slid and realized he wasn't going to stop without ramming into the mint-colored hyena there. Oh, he hoped this didn't hurt.

They were falling. Crap! Now he'd done it! The other hyena's face glanced at his for a brief moment as they fell. Was she... Was she disappointed in him? She didn't look surprised, only a little, but mostly her face was alarmed with irritation and disappointment rather than shock.
Maybe she was having a bad day. Yep, had to be it, not the fact that he had just plummeted them both of a cliff. Nooooo, of course that wasn't it.
When Nuru's mass hit the water it had done so as he was staring at the sky, and he did not have the luxury that Euanthe did of knowing where his body was going to land. So he panicked in mid-air with a scream of terror and then a solidified brace of his body to prepare for the impact of hitting solid ground. Only he didn't hit solid ground.
His body seemed to be absorbed in the water and Nuru struggled to take a breath in. He struggled to propel himself forward and when he managed to figure out how the basic maneuver of swimming functioned, he gasp largely upon touching the air.
Then he turned to stare at the mint hyena with glee written in between his goofy grin. He laughed at her. "We lived! Thank the gods, we survived!" Needless to say that was how Nuru handled a near death experience, by laughing about it shamelessly.
