While guardians brought their children and Poke'mon to play by the rivers edge, among the blossoming couples and the flowers they frolicked in, Shousuke had other plans. He stretched out on the river bank, just a ways up from the crowd in a shaded area, his van not to far off. Under his breath he murmured beats to tracks he had stored at his place, things Shousuke was hoping to introduce to the club that very night.
By all accounts he should be sleeping since he worked a night shift, but his mind was buzzing. He needed to be out in this fresh air! It felt so much better in his curls than stale air conditioning any day.
The teen sat up long enough to untie his shoe strings, and free his toes to the supple grass. Beside him sat a instrument case, a pile of scratch paper that held as many doodles as it did actual notes.

Kirsi still couldn't quite believe it. She could see the world now! The enormity of it both intimidated and astonished. There was life beyond the depths of the cold sea. The stories were real!
The dewgong teen wasn't sure what to do with herself. She'd been watching the shore from a distance for a few days now, just entranced by the beings like her. Part pokemon, and part human. ...There were so many! But, they had legs and arms for the most part. The first step was figuring out what they were wearing over their skin, and why! She should get closer...
That was when she found the river mouth. It led into the land! Following it under the surface, she headed into a patch of thick reeds before popping up again. When she did, she instantly saw the bright pink male. He had no need for bright clothing to attract anyone. In fact, what he covered himself with was dark! But, it wasn't enough to hide... Lips pursing, Kirsi pulled herself closer, though she paused to inspect the grass. It tickled her skin most curiously... It was almost like weeds of her home.
Eyes widening, she was suddenly fascinated by the male's feet. She'd heard about feet, but she'd never seen them close-up before! Slowly, she turned and flipped her tail fins to brush against the male's feet in greeting. That was what they did in her clan with strangers, so it made sense that they would do the same here, right? Feet were the equivalent of tail fins, right?

Cornetified OMFG, she's so adorable. ;o;
Singing under his breath, Shousuke moved to grab a sheet of paper, jotting down a few beats so that he could remix on of the songs out on the airwaves that kids seemed to flock to. While not one of his favorites, it had a good rhythm to it that he felt would be easy to manipulate.
The act turned him to see a bit of white in the reeds and grass. He focused, looking intently, before shrugging it off. Probably just another wild Poke'mon getting a drink of water before returning to the forest. Shousuke shook his head, murmuring more of the song with a wiggle of his toes until - Oh Arceus, something touched him!
He shrieked and pulled his toes back, stumbling like a krabby over his notebooks. Papers flew about in the lazy wind, a few pens skittering down to the water. "Wha-wha-wha-Uh, hey?" Shousuke tried to keep himself in order, but it wasn't every day pretty girls showed up...in a river...with fins...without clothes...

Eyes widening at the loud noise and sudden movement, Kirsi shrunk back a bit and felt her hands tingle with magic being prepared in self defense, a little of the grass under her even freezing a bit. She kept a close eye on the fluttering papers until she realized they weren't coming at her, and the strange sticks, pens?, just rolled by harmlessly.
Head lifting at the clearer voice, she looked to the male and smiled hopefully. "'ey," she chirped, though she didn't move closer again. He didn't like being touched? But the people she had been watching were touching each other all the time! Maybe this one was odd. He was alone, after all.
Since the male was now out of reach, she picked up a pen that had stopped near her. She gave it a curious sniff. Yep, it didn't smell tasty. It must be one of those writing pen things. Looking to the male, she gave him an apologetic smile and held the pen out to him with her webbed fingers loosely holding it.

Woah, did the air get a little colder? Passing it off as a freak chilly summer wind, Shousuke moved a little closer. He didn't want to seem rude, and what with her being as skittish as she apparently was he tried to tone it down at bit.
He smiled a little at her chirped response. Alright, so, she wasn't going to kill him, but there was still that problem about being an unclothed babe. "Oh, thanks for getting my pe-" Shou could only gape like a Magikarp. What was she doing? Closing it with an awkward gulp, he reached forward to take it from her. "Do you live here in this river?" Even as he spoke Shousuke was taking off his outer vest, and then his shirt. He looked around to make sure they were still fairly hidden before handing his shirt over to her. "Here. You may want to put this on before people get the wrong idea."
Leaning back onto his knees, he slid his vest back on.

Such a strange expression on the male's face! It made Kirsi giggle softly. Was he hoping to catch a minnow with his mouth hanging open like that? "Live.." Oh, how was she supposed to say this...? "out. Deep." She turned and pointed out toward the ocean.
As the male started peeling off the dark layers, Kirsi's eyes widened with interest. And then.. he gave her one of the layers! She held the fabric in awe, and turned it every which way, rubbed it between her hands, sniffed it (such a strange smell~), and rubbed it against her cheek. It was soft and warm! Though, her body temperature was quickly sucking the warmth away. Looking to the male, she suddenly blushed pink. What did this mean? Was it a special greeting? She didn't have anything to give back! Was it a sign of acceptance? Was it a sign of interest?! Was she supposed to simply keep it? Was she supposed to return it to him?
Put it on... Wrong idea? She looked at the shirt blankly. This was so overwhelming! "What.. on?"

Well, that did make a lot of sense. She certainly didn't look like a fresh water Pokemon...Poke'human, thing. He had the name on the tip of his tongue. A seaking? A..A..oh forget it. "So you live in the Ocean? What brought you this far inland?"
He gulped once more, his cheeks a darker shade of pink than they had ever been. She was so adorably innocent that he couldn't help watching her. Shousuke propped his arms on his crouched knees. It was so funny, like watching a toddler with their first shi- wait, was this the first time she'd touched clothing? That would explain alot.
"You just pulled it over your head, and stick your arms through the holes. Like what I did, only in reverse." Why was she...? Was he going to have to...? His cheeks burned darker. "I can help, but only if you want it."

Kirsi was too focused on the strange cloth to listen to the male's questions. It only just registered in the back of her mind. "Wanna.. see.." she murmured distractedly, eyes locked on what was in her hands.
Pull over head... Reverse... So, use it like he had? Looking up at the male for a moment, she thought back on how he had been using it. Slowly, she stuck her arms through holes and pulled them back out and wrapped and upwrapped. It took a couple tries, but she managed to get it on correctly all on her own. ..The shirt was inside-out, but that was no big deal. Though it was snug and rode up a bit to show her belly, it fit well enough to cover what needed to be covered.
With that done, she looked at the pink male with a hopeful smile. Oh! His cheeks were changing colors! Forgetting herself, she pushed forward and reached out a pale hand, webbed fingers gently reaching to feel his dark red cheek with utmost curiosity.

Shousuke was ready to move in and help any time that she needed it. Possibly a little too eagerly, but he restrained himself. There was so much about her that had his nerves on edge. And he was even behaving! It was just so...so odd being around someone who was so open about being naive and not hiding it. Was this really what an innocent person looked like? He watched her tried and covered his mouth when he gave a smirking little laugh. It wasn't perfect, but at least she finally accomplished the task.
Although...seeing that his shirt was too small for a girl was a stab at his manly pride. Wasn't that supposed to be the sign of an ultimate guy? A girl wearing his shirt? She was supposed to be swamped in it, and- To be honest though, seeing the way it rode up was a little nicer than the alternative- Stop it! He shook his head and took a deep breath. He obviously needed to get out more.

Shousuke sputtered and reached up to grasp arm by the wrist. He pulled her hand down slowly, forgetting to let go in his panic. "S-sorry, but maybe we can not do that? It's...awkward." Her skin was really soft, though, and cool. Maybe it was the moisture?

Eyes widening, Kirsi looked down at the hand holding her wrist. He was so much warmer than she was! "Face color.. change always?" she asked, looking back up and leaning in for inspection despite her hand having been pulled away. Personal space? What was that? "Face color.. awkward?"
Speaking of awkward though! She looked back down at his hand when she realized that his fingers were not webbed like her own. How odd! "Dew!" Her free hand left the ground to grab his other hand, lifting it to inspect the separated fingers.

"Not always, just around pretty girls." Smooth, real smooth. His cheeks felt like he was on fire, but Shousuke couldn't stop his runaway mouth anymore than he could calm his heart. He instinctively leaned back away from the personal intrusion...and promptly lost his balance. Shou landed with a grunt on his butt in the grass. "Awkward..." He said at length, trying to shift around to get comfortable, but not really since that would put him closer to her. So, he ended up sitting with one leg tucked under him, and the other stretched out. "..is when something happens and you aren't sure what to do about it." Like this entire situation.
He watched passively as his hand was inspected and prodded, just as curious about her reaction as she was about his separated digits. Shousuke flexed them, and made little knots with one finger over the other with a little grin. "I guess they are pretty neat, but...honestly, I like yours a lot better. Do they help you swim easier?"

Blue eyes flicked up briefly to the male's face before focusing on the strange fingers again. Pretty girls...? Did pretty mean the same thing to him as it did to her? Did.. he like how she looked? A land dweller liked how she looked! How curious.. Well, at least it was easier to talk to the male now that he was down at her level!
Pulling her hands back, she watched the fingers flex and twist. A big grin rose, and she started playing with the digits again. They were so fun to wiggle so freely! Looking up again, she felt another big smile grow. "Swim! Like fins, but not." She raised her hand and spread her fingers to open up the webbing, and held it up to his hand. "Push water with more hand," she explained. "Swim with tail, and hands help." Hands, feet, fingers, toes, shirts! The land world was full of interesting things! Speaking of which, she glanced back at her long body and frowned. "Is nice.. your legs?" Of course, she reached over to grab the leg sticking out, one hand on the ankle and the other on the knee, and lifted it for inspection. A few simple joints rather than one fluid limb... How did that work?

There was no way he couldn't smile with the way she was manipulating his fingers. They were calloused from his nights of DJ work and martial arts training, so he saw nothing special about them, but to someone else he could sort of understand the appeal. "That's kind of awesome." He wiggled his fingers ontop of hers, moving his pinky so that it brushed against her webbing. "Was it as easy to swim when you were a regular Poke'mon? Or is it harder for you now?"
Flexing his bare toes in the grass, Shousuke shrugged. "Sort of. They get me where I need to go- Omph!" When she jerked him up, he lost his balance once again and flopped onto his side. "Hey! Careful with the poking." Of course, with her hand under his knee, an area where he was so ticklish, Shousuke started to laugh and squirm. He tried to jerk his leg away.

Cocking her head, Kirsi thought a moment before giving it a shake. "Not harder, not easier." While she had lost a bit of the more streamline figure of her pokemon self, her tail was much stronger to balance it out. She didn't know how to word how she felt about it.
Perking up as the male tipped over, her lips pressed slightly. He wasn't even using the leg, and he'd fallen over? That was silly! Her brow rose at the sudden laughter, and reluctantly let go of the jerking leg. She didn't want to be hit! Still, her lower lip pouted out. "What funny?"

"What's funny? You're tickling me." Shousuke righted himself, this time crossing his legs underneath. "That would be if a person feels the urge to laugh when a spot on their body is touched. It's sensitive like that. Feet, under the knees, ribs...places like that." He wasn't entirely sure if she knew or not, but banking that she didn't, he went into detail.
"Do you ever get out of the water at all? I mean....well, can you?" Would she die if she wasn't in the water for a while? Like a fish? Or would she just not have the ability to move around as freely?
