48 Hours ago. Tarn's secret lab.

It had been a few months since Tarn Ivanov was given the task of repairing the body of the Templar Leader, Kristov Kruger. He was to make him faster, stronger, and more powerful than ever before. For the most part he was making good progress, and the new body of their leader was nearly complete. But Tarn was running low on a key material that he needed. For that he would need to acquire that material and he would need some assistance. Using his communicator he contacted the one he needed. "Akuma, come to my lab immediately."

Akuma entered the room and looked around at all of Tarn's experiments, each more ghastly than the last. He reached Tarn and did a small bow. "How can I help you, commander Ivanov."

Tarn looked to Akuma and quickly loaded up his monitor screen. "Lord Kruger's new body is nearly complete. The bioskeleton and fiber muscles are now complete and grafted to him and his outer armor is nearly complete. However I am running low on the key material I need..." He pressed a button and an image of a silver rock appeared on the screen. "This is Nth Metal. ITs an alien element that originates from the planet Thanagar. It has bizarre properties that allow anyone who wields it increased strength, speed, healing, and even flight. Kruger's outer armor is made from Nth metal, however I have nearly used all my Nth metal reserves." He then displays an image of the LexCorp tower. "Nth metal is very rare on this planet and when Luthor became President, he made it so that all Nth metal reserves be commandeered and brought to the U.S. the largest of those reserves being in LexCorp HQ. Akuma, I require you to accompany me in acquiring the Nth metal from LexCorp."

Akuma crossed his arms as he listened to Tarn's in depth monologue before finally speaking. "LexCorp tower is quite possibly the most secure facility on the Planet. They say the President spends more time there than at the White House. How do you expect us to get in without deception? This isn't like S.T.A.R or N.O.W.H.E.R.E. Security is far more advanced.

He turned to Akuma with an emotionless look on his face. "You underestimate my abilities, commander Akuma?" He looked back to the screen and the layout of LexCorp tower. "To the average person the security is quite advanced...but to me it is a mild annoyance. Getting in will be simple, I simply need you to be my support. Understood?"

LexCorp Tower: Temporary Headquarters of the United States Government


A Few months had past after the recent alien invasion of Earth. Since Washington DC was being rebuilt amongst other cities in the United States. The invasion/war however did take a toll on the economy and infrastructure due to damage and casualties. The US wasn't in bad shape, however the damage was a big chunk of change so to speak. Instead of borrowing more money than it could payback, an executive decision was made to sell or liquidate some of the surplus assets in storage that the USA had. Sure Gold and other precious metals could be sold, but there was one kind of metal that was worth more than most. Nth Metal. Not native to the planet it Earth, but Thanagar it granted numerous properties. Most recently the United States had a it's main cache of Nth Metal from Washington DC to LexCorp Tower for safe keeping.

Most recently President Lex Luthor had brokered a deal to the corporate sector. A deal where it would pay off the damage caused by the alien invaders and rebuild America in more ways than one.

In his office he stood looking out the windows starring down at the skyline of Metropolis, a change from the White House since it was currently still under repair. Walking over back to his desk he picked up the phone and sat in his chair. Pressing a series of buttons on the phone getting the extension line to his assistance. "This is Mona Mr. President how can I help you?" "Get me in touch with Mr. Todd at Kord Corporation please. Tell his receptionist President Luthor is on the line waiting for him" mean while he switched his phone to speaker as he turned around in his chair and looked out the windows at Metropolis while he was on hold

Lex would not have been kept on hold for long. It was not often that one received a phone call from the president of the United States. Plunking his feet atop the dark mahogany desk, Jason tapped the button on his phone, putting Luthor on speaker as well. "Afternoon, Mr. President. What can I and the Kord Corporation do for our fair country?" He was obviously smirking by the tone of his voice, but also completely relaxed, almost as if the call was expected.

Lex would not have been kept on hold for long. It was not often that one received a phone call from the president of the United States. Plunking his feet atop the dark mahogany desk, Jason tapped the button on his phone, putting Luthor on speaker as well. "Afternoon, Mr. President. What can I and the Kord Corporation do for our fair country?" He was obviously smirking by the tone of his voice, but also completely relaxed, almost as if the call was expected.

"It is about that deal we made earlier over the phone about the Nth Metal. It is ready for your inspection and transport. By all means you've done enough for your country by purchasing that alone" This deal alone was borderline a trillion dollars, he had no idea how Jason Todd would acquire such funding in so little time, but time would tell.

"I can be there with a sufficient vehicle to transport the Nth metal within the next two hours. Just need time for prep and dust off, then I will be on my way to you. I assume the US government will not have a problem with an electronic transfer, seeing as I do not carry that sum around with me in cash?" Excllent. The deal would go through and he would have all the materials for the next phase of the plan. Just like clockwork, every gear was moving as it should.

“I assure you my boy, no body on the face of this Earth has that much cash just laying around. So yes, electronic transfer is not a problem, grated this is probably one of the largest transfers of money in history. Anyways I can’t tell you how much of a service you’re doing for your country and it’s economy by doing this Jason. Not to mention our ‘plans’ and ‘business arrangement’ we’ve previously discussed. I think I can speak for LexCorp since I am still the largest shareholder, its going to a pleasure working with you and the Kord Corporation in our future projects together. I look forward to your arrival. I’ll be waiting for you on the helipad at LexCorp Tower.”

After hanging up the phone, Luthor’s security detail arrived at his office to escort him to the meeting room nearby the helipad. Motioning to the head of his security, he spoke to him “I want around the clock security around our Nth Metal Vaults in the sublevel. Both LexCorp and Government Security, and I want everything, including Gladiator units. Not even a single dust particle moves without me or anyone else knowing about it.” “Yes sir” then his security detail escorted him out of his office and down towards the Helipad, while the proper security arrangements were being made to the Nth Metal Vaults.

In short order the transport convoy was underway. The air ships were much like the one Jason himself had traveled to Lexcorp in on his previous visit, but all were more heavily armed, and heavily armored. Plasma phalanx batteries, seeker missiles, GAU cannons. Every one of them were armed to the teeth. Jason's bird took the front of the arrowhead pattern, five more gunships flanking the heavier transport model in the center.

Upon reaching Metropolis, the proper codes were transmitted to both Air Traffic Control, and Lexcorp Tower, as well as the Government facilities therein. It wouldn't do any good to get shot out of the sky before securing what he came for. Arriving at the tower, Jason's transport and would land, the rest of the ships hovering just above the helipad.

He would disembark quickly, his security teams remaining aboard the vessels. He was more than sure Lex would have things under control. Now all that remained to handle was the transaction.

They eyes and ears of the Dark Templars is Whisper. From his communications hub he can trace, record and listen to any conversation on the planet. As a Spymaster, his skills are near without equal. It is because of his skillset that he was able to tap into the conversation between Lex Luthor and Jason Todd. He quickly relayed those recordings to Tarn's Lab for him to see. Tarn listens to the recording before looking to Akuma. "It appears we are on a clock now. Lets move out."

Lex was now on the helipad escorted by Gladiator Class LexCorp Assault Troopers as Jason’s Ship landed. “Jason!” he shouted as he waved at him and began to approach his vessel. "I hope you don’t mind the extra security precautions. “ Lex had special operations along with LexCorp troops both on the pad and on the roof tops including snipers and sharp shooters if the situation did go bad and somebody did attack them. More troops came by to escort Luthor and posted guards outside of Jason’s vessel. He extended a hand for a hand shake with Jason then started speaking again “If you don’t mind, I’d like to get this operation underway and finished as quickly as possible know how valuable your cargo is. Our cargo..”

He motioned to the guards by the Helipad doors and soon a mixed squad of special operations soldiers armed to the teeth with assault rifles, explosives, and Kevlar vests, along side the ever present and armored Gladiator units. The group escorted a Large Shipping crate, one big enough to hold two standard size quarter horses came through the Helipad Freight Elevator Doors on the opposite side of the Helipad.





The Crate itself was on a repulsor platform, the same technology used in Lex’s Powered Suit and the Gladiator Armor to glide across the ground with ease with a single man pushing the crate to Jason’s vessel. It's contents was completely filled up with the rare Nth Metal. The squad slowly walked with the crate being pushed into the direction of Jason's vessel

With a firm handshake and a nod of agreement Jason reached into his breast pocket and withdrew a small tablet, the screen coming to life as he handed it to Lex. "The transfer of funds has been prepared, all that remains is your routing number. My systems are impregnable, in every sense of the word. Anyone tries to hack this transaction, they may as well have invested in a paper weight that cost as much as their hardware. The US Government will get their funds within moments of that crate touching down on my ship. A pleasure doing business with you."

Akuma nodded to Tarn and looked at the live transmission that Whisper managed to obtain. "I suppose I shall go in first then. Shake things up a bit." Akuma pressed a button on his belt and suddenly a boom tube opened in front of him, the portal opening just above the helipad and Jason Todd's aircraft. Akuma's eye's glowed as he released a blast of fire at Jason Todd's vessel before flying through the tube down towards them. He landed elegantly on top of the crate holding the Nth Metal. "Good Evening, Gentlemen." With the end of his sentence he swung his blade in a full circle, releasing a 360 wind of flames to back everyone away from the crate.
