Chalcanthite had been summoned to the desk of one of the higher ups, the General Queen Laurelite. Part of him wondered if the breaking of his arm by the violent red haired senshi was a failure and he would be reprimanded for it. The other part of him wondered if it was his time to reach the next rank in command for all the information he had been gathering on the senshi he had bumped into as well as some of the youma he had confronted. He was quite proud of the meticulously detailed notes he had taken as well as of the drawings he had done of the senshi so there would be more than a word description if anyone wanted to watch out for them or confront them. After a moment of thinking he paused, looking around her office in amazement at her ability to summon agents to her. That in of itself was terrifying yet extremely practical for many things.

Many thoughts raced through his head yet his face remained completely calm and still as he had trained himself to do even before entering the Negaverse. If it was a promotion, he would except it humbly which was far from what he would do normally but for appearances it was better to be modest than to be narcissistic. Even now he knew that a certain respect was needed to be given to higher ups because they deserved it and he would deserve the same respect as he reached the higher ranks as well. All he had to do was to be patient and to continue his work, which he enjoyed.

He kneeled before her now and waited patiently for whatever happened next, whether it was good or bad.

Before the General Queen, on the intricately carved desk she sat at, was a stack of papers. Judging by the faint traces of ink marring her pale flesh, it was obvious she had been working on them prior to Chalcanthite's arrival. She seemed to have timed it so that he would appear just as she finished her last paper. When the Lieutenant appeared, her eyes almost eagerly flicked to him, and a small smile warmed her face. She placed her pen on the desk and directed her full attention to him.

"Chalcanthite, it is a pleasure," she said, as though she hadn't been expecting him. "You have such good manners. So polite. Please, stand," she said, doing so herself.

She laced her fingers together in front of her and watched the male. In a sweet, courteous voice, she continued, "I'm certain you're wondering why I've called you here?" She answered before giving him an opportunity to reply. "I was looking over your file and wanted to say that it seems like you're getting along quite well. How are you liking the Negaverse so far?"

Chalcanthite looked up and then stood. "It is a pleasure meeting you as well General Queen." He bowed before her with his usual smooth and fluid motions, ones he had gained from years of recitals and stage performances. When he stood up he heard her question him with the same question he had in his mind, why was he called here? Before he spoke she continued with a different thought, one that lessened the small scared voice of the side of him that though he had done wrong. He would still be polite and ever the good boy as he always was.

"I quite like the Negaverse, I have met a few good men and women in my time here so far and even more interesting enemies whom I have been able to gather information on. I also like the youma, they are quite interesting and I wish to learn more about them as I continue serving the Negaverse." Wondering if that would be a good enough answer he waited patiently for her reply, things had to have turn order in a conversation like this and he would not jeopardize any good intentions with rudeness on this day if he could avoid it.

"Oh, that is most splendid," the General Queen replied, voice soft with a practiced sweetness. "I like to hear that, you know. That our wonderful agents like serving the Negaverse. I think that's the sign of a good soldier. And, you are a good soldier, aren't you?"

She moved from behind the desk so she was standing right in front of him. "I think good soldiers deserve a reward. Considering recent events of late," she sighed wistfully, running her fingers through her hair and looking at the crystals that splintered from the walls of her office before she continued, "I am thrilled to see that there are still respectable agents. We are in dire need of more good influences around here."

She returned her attention to him and looked—really looked—with eyes that seemed so intense they might have been able to see right through to his starseed. "I think you are prepared for a little more responsibility. What about you, Lieutenant, are you ready to make the Negaverse proud?"

Chalcanthite nodded slightly. "Thank you for your compliment, I do my best to be a good soldier for our side." She was very nice and not as scary as he might have expected but, at such a high rank you must have certain traits or wisdom that allows for you to be who you are. She was still very young looking so she must have showed much promise at an early age meaning there was hope for him to shine brightly as he progressed and not be held to age barriers that sometimes were in place in his own experience as a musician.

"Yes General Queen I will do my best to make the Negaverse proud and to be a good influence to those around me. It would be an honor to serve the Negaverse no matter what amount of responsibility is given to me." He was ecstatic at how things were going, but he remained ever the calm faced young man that he was as he stood before her and her desk. He almost blushed at the compliments since he did enjoy when he was praised and the offer that she laid in front of him was just perfect. Her eyes were intense though, he realized now that she had an edge to her as most people should to prevent themselves from being stepped on or run over by others who aim to pick out your weakness.

Laurelite maintained her smile with a professional calm. "That's the type of answer I like to hear," she said, and moved forward. Gently, she placed her hand over his chest and focused her gaze on whatever it was that she was doing.

"I am sure you remember the day you were inducted into the Negaverse. This is going to be a lot like that. It's going to feel a lot like that. But know that I do not hurt you because I enjoy it. You will turn it," she spoke slowly, watching as her fingers disappeared into the Lieutenant's chest. "Into something great."

She did not speak again; instead, she was entirely focused on the sight of her hand slipping into his chest. She found his starseed with ease; he was far from the first lieutenant she had ever helped. Her fingers curled around the starseed and she focused, charging the starseed with waves of Chaos.

It was not a pleasant experience, and she knew it. She knew the pain that came with starseed tampering, the burning, searing pain. And she delivered it with her placid smile, because she knew at the end of all of it, the reward was worth it.

Chalcanthite nodded and looked down at his chest for a moment as her hand rested there. She was really sweet and it made things less scary than the first time as her fingers disappeared into his chest. At this point he looked back up at her since her appearance as well as way of speaking was calming. Remembering back to when he first joined almost made him twitch but now he prepared himself for it by tensing up his knees so that he wouldn't crumple to the ground while it was happening. That would be an extremely embarrassing blow to his pride as well as his image, which he did not want to ruin in front of someone so important.

He inhaled sharply as the pain began but kept the grimace off of his face to the best of his abilities. There was still a slight twinge of discomfort that began to creep on his face as the process continued. It was definitely on another level from when he had first been brought into the Negaverse. He stiffened up slightly at the end but as things slowly faded and returned to normal he exhaled slowly, shuddering slightly. At this point he looked down at his uniform, it had gotten more intricate as well as being longer. In his hand a bow appeared, his eyes lit up immediately at what this meant. "Thank you General Queen, I shall not let you down." He bowed once more once her hand was out of his chest, now noticing how much longer his hair had gotten since the last time he had gotten it trimmed, wondering if he should get a haircut or not sometime.
