It was finally time for his daily aerial show and the stallion could not wait much longer. Mirabilis just left him so that she could herself have her alone time with the creatures of the thicket, and honestly, he could care less. This was what they usually done around the beginning of the afternoon after all. His sister would stay with the company of others, and he would just test the winds of the skies. There was nothing to really worry about since he knew that the creatures tended to leave the two alone, and the previous storm did recently end, meaning that the next one would not arrive for quite some time. A couple of days perhaps. Whatever.
The stallion clawed the ground, flapping his massive wings, ready to take his daily flight. He kicked the dirt once, looked up at the sky, and gracefully took off, looking forward to a skirmish or something. The thicket was way too peaceful for his liking, and when was the last time that he was part of a battle? He died for the excitement, and he longed for the company of someone knew. It was not that he was tired of Mirabilis, but he was rather tired of just being trapped in this little world that his sister wanted to shelter him in.
He just wanted some change in his life.

Zuleikha wasn't actually flying at present but the mare was out in the open where she would be seen from the air. At present she was busy enjoying a meal that she had 'surprised' upon landing. It wasn't anything particularly extravagant, just some small game animal, but it was edible. The fare here was quite different from where she grew up, which was a pleasant change now that she had gotten used to it.
At present she wasn't on the lookout for anything around her, even less so what might be overhead so if he found her interesting enough to do so he would be able to without incident.(( For the RP manager - my teepee ))

Oh, how he tamed the air. It was like if everything around was just nothing. He was now the king of the skies and there was absolutely nothing that could stop this moment of his.
He soared amongst the clouds, loving every second of this flight, hardly ever looking at the ground. Odd though. He was supposed to be on a patrol. He did look own once, and saw something moving. Halt! he commanded to himself, striking down onto the ground, like a hawk swooping in onto a mouse. This was his land, not that intruders!
As his claws extended for a land, his wings began to close, and landed in front of the mare. "Playing with your food I see." he smirked, though he was sort of irritated that his flight was now ruined.

Zuleikha made a non committal noise in response to the stallion's comment and cracked the ribs of her prey a bit wider with her claws to get at more of the meat inside. "Seemed a shame to waste it since I surprised it on the way down." Even in this land of plenty she couldn't bring herself to waste fresh game. It had been to clear a lesson when growing up because one might not know when they would eat next.
Once the bones had been more or less picked clean she turned her attention to her unexpected company. A winged one like herself, covered in greens greys and blues. "And you are?"

He stood, awaiting a response from her, and couldn't stop staring at her beauty. Like wow. Now this was a beauty. "Yes, the whole concept of aerial hunting is always a pleasure." he replied, half here, half there. Now where was she from, and why did no one tell him that a new mare was around?
It took awhile for the mare to finish whatever she was doing, but surprisingly, he was patient enough to wait. The question struck him as rude, for she gave the impression that he was in her land, when it was actually the other way around.
"Loddigesia." The stallion then dug his claws into the fertile ground, resulting in a small rain of dirt.

She finished picking the creature clean without offering him any. Not that there would have been much to offer up in the first place. One thing he would have to learn about her is that she tended to do as she liked regardless of whose territory it was. Her claws and muzzle were still covered in the creature's blood when she lifted her head again to look at him.
"Zuleikha." It was her name and she was only giving it to him because he was rather pleasing to the eye as well. His coloration was much more conservative than her own but he would still make a worthy pet if things made it that far and he was interested. Which if she had her way he would be, even if it took some careful luring.

As the mare rose her head, Lodd could not stop staring at her beak. Blood dripping everywhere. So she was more of a meat eater, unlike the diet that his sister assigned for him. Though Mira did not know, the stallion would often smuggle a creature or two into his diet. It was pleasing actually, knowing that he was keeping secrets from his sister.
"Well Zuleikha," he started, daring to take a step towards her. He did not know if she would turn aggressive or not, but he did have to protect his land, even if the intruder was a stunning flier too.
"I would advise for you to leave here at once." he looked around, shrugging. There was nothing to hide out here. "My sister gets often antsy smelling another around the borders."

The peacock phoenix mare ate plants as well but things that bled were her favorite. Before when she lived in the desert they had been treats when she had been lucky enough to catch reasonable game. Now things were different since delicious fresh creatures were more readily available. It had taken some time to learn a little more restraint in her eating habits. Though admittedly she still gorged herself on them from time to time. And that was something she had considered doing today until this fine specimen of a stallion came along.
Although...perhaps she could satisfy more than one craving today...
"I had been planning on it to look for a better place to hunt." Could he be lured with the right bait? "You could join me if you like?" He had the beak-like muzzle tip and the claws of an able hunter after all, but did he know how to use them? "That way you can be sure I am away from your sister's territory so she needn't worry."

Loddigesia stood his ground, listening to her proposition. Join her as a mock real estate seller to ensure that his sister would be at peace? What if someone were to find her sister unguarded though? The stallion clawed the ground underneath him, unsure of how to respond to her. What was the best solution to this situation? His beak could immediately injure the mare if he were to impale his beak into her, but what was the fun in that? Having a mare suffer. He only fought stallions, so could he really go against his code of honor?
"Anywhere but here would do for you." he said, staring into the oranges of her eyes. "Though" he turned his neck around, looking if he could detect his sister's presence around or not, "it would be ungentleman of myself to not escort you over."
So his extended his wings once more, ready to take flight, to follow her. She seemed nice enough for his standards, so why not try to spend some time with her? "I'd just tell my sister that some flock came to feast upon the mice around here if she detects something wrong."

"Very well." The hook and bait were caught in his mouth and a bit more time would tell how firmly it was lodged there. But from where she stood it seemed pretty well promising. He seemed to be wound a hair too tight and would probably be grateful for the pressure release like most of his type were. And once she got her claws into them, figuratively - though on occasion it was literal, they would keep coming back for more until they grew tired of one another. That was how most of her relationships went and it suited her just fine.
Zuleikha cocked her head to the side ever so slightly, orange eyes watching him intently. The way he looked back troubled her a little. She would have to make him try and forget his sister for a while. It would probably do him some good, honestly. If a handsome stallion such as himself stayed wound that tight for too long he was bound to start molting feathers from worry. With such lovely feathers that just wouldn't be right at all. Little opportunities would likely present themselves along the way, and she intended to take full advantage of them. After all she would be a fool not to. She was not about to let this pretty bird get away if it could be helped. It was an act she saw as charity of a sort, though she would get something out of it too, which was just as much a reason for her to pursue the course of action. Something like this from her for completely selfless reasons would be pretty much unheard of, everything was a means to an end.
She made a little show of ruffling her feathers before taking the air and waiting for him to join her. It didn't take long since he was apparently quite ready to go and do his familial duty by driving her off his sister's land. Though she highly doubted his sister would appreciate the fact that he personally escorted her to do so, that on its own seemed like a small victory in and of itself. But she knew better than to be smug about it, that would likely put him off kilter and ruin the progress she had made thus far. Which was most definitely something she did not want to do. "Which way are we headed then?" She would probably have to take the lead once he indicated the way so he would be able to keep an eye on her. That was something she was honestly alright with, the more time she spent in his sight the more tempting her offer would become after all. She simply idled in the air waiting for his response.xKOVAKtheWOLFx I pinged you a PM note as well. (Sorry if you get requoted, I had to fix some typos.)
