[Zerachiel grew up with Gabriel, and developed quite a sweet tooth from him. He was never a favorite. Michael and Lucifer were always too busy playing and fighting with each other, and Gabriel was the one who gave him the most attention. Even when they got older, Zerachiel stuck with Gabriel for the most part. When Gabriel left heaven, Zerachiel followed. He used the name Zachary Donovan, which was his vessel's name, so the humans didn't question his name. Just before he claimed his vessel, they were attacked by a skinwalker. He would have died had Zerachiel not offered to heal him in exchange for using him as a vessel. Zachary agreed, and Zerachiel took him as a vessel. The body had been marked by a skinwalker, and Zerachiel was able to unlock more animals from the DNA than just the canine that was naturally available to him.
Somewhere along the way, Lucifer found him and tortured him because he wasn't taking sides and that made Lucifer angry. Lucifer hacked off his wings with a blade, only to heal him and leave the scars behind. Zerachiel still has the scars on his wings, and only shows his wings when he needs to. He doesn't trust anyone with them anymore, and is always worried that Lucifer will come back.
He's spent the last few years messing with humans and waiting for some lead to find Gabriel. He doesn't have high hopes in finding Gabriel, so he's turned his attention elsewhere, now just keeping himself entertained more than doing anything worth-while.]
Powers/Other
Zerachiel has any and all known abilities of an archangel as well as all abilities of a skinwalker. Because he is an archangel, he has none of the weaknesses of a skinwalker. Silver, a skinwalker's main weakness, burns like acid to him, but he can recover fairly quickly.
Zerachiel's wings are black along the top and fade to dark blue the rest of the way down. They look like this, but are a darker blue than shown.
