"76.... 77.... 78.... 79... 80..."
St. Magdalena's Seminary was the worst sort of prison. The Sisters always gave Jun a hard time when it came to her exercise regiment. Not to mention there weren't that many places to do pull ups in that school. The few times she had located places for pull ups, those pesky Sisters would always shoo her away.
It was rather annoying.
"...85... 86... 87... 88... 89..."
That was why Jun was at the park. Sure, the Sisters didn't like it when she snuck off campus, but Jun didn't like to be stuck in the Seminary still even though she was a legal adult! Jun could train far more freely here in the middle of the night. Occasionally a police officer would spot her and then she was soon enough escorted back to the Seminary, but that didn't stop Jun of sneaking out the next night.
"...96... 97... 98... 99...100!"
With that, the dark-haired girl let go of the branch she had been clinging onto and dropped back to the ground. She shook out her arms and glanced about the park.
"...Why is Destiny City filled with so many weak people?" she asked with a sigh as she began to roll her shoulders a bit in preparation for the next part of her regiment.

Of the hot spots to find other powered individuals, whether for practice, combat, conversation or otherwise, the park was usually one of the exceptional bets for regular fishing. Not that it was really fishing- Titanlåvenite didn't have bait, or a rod, or even a stick with any sort of line on it. He could tie string to the haft of his larp hammer, if her really wanted to. It wasn't even worth the effort for fun. Just a silly comparison to pass the time as he crossed the paths and walking intersections amid trees and benches. There wasn't anything coming up as near, which was a disappointing surprise. There were some civilians here and there, some walking on one of the other paths in the distance with their dog, someone counting- counting? It was some yards away, but there was some person doing calisthenics. What an odd hour. I guess I work out at all hours. But usually at the gym. No, I guess I go for runs late. Business people have to. Or third s**t.The Lieutenant paused in thought of the regular work out regimens of the various people he knew at the city gym. They seemed to work in shifts, regular schedules with regular faces that'd he'd come to know most of rather well. Maybe this person would be a regular at the....tree. In the middle of the night.

Her shoulders were still tingling from the workout, and where weaker people would have been put off by that sensation, this girl lived for the burn she felt. Her shoulders rolled in an effort to regain some sort of normalcy in her limbs as she continued to look about.
And then she saw him!
The epitome of a challenge! A legitimate giant who looked as strong as he was huge. Her bare toes curled into the grass in excitement before she bound forward. She drew closer and closer until she was literally in front of this large stranger. Due to her Asian heritage, she was lacking in the height department, and it was only more obvious when compared to a Behemoth like this blonde.
Undaunted by his height, she looked up to the giant before pointing out one of her wrapped hands towards his face.
"Wanna fight?" was the simple challenge she proposed in a determined tone.

Titan had remained paused the moment he caught on that the girl was not only moving, but moving to intercept him. Had she figured out that the all-black and belts wasn't just some heavy metal fetish? She wasn't daunted at all, at least. He almost expected maybe it would be some friendly question and wore a curious, pleasant expression up until she issued her question.
"I...don't think you really want that." His expression fell- brows furrowed lightly to a line of concern while his mouth pulled straight and wry. "The city is not so safe to just ask that of anyone on the street. You do not watch the news?"
"I only fight for keeps, little one." It was toned like a clarification more than a warning. She didn't feel of any particular aura. Did she know about the 'terrorists' and wanted to test herself? Maybe she just thought the park was fight club. He couldn't tell, but there was no reason to take her less seriously. Obsidian had treated him as prey, but honest prey, when he'd had no uniform to wear. He owed any others with honest intention the same regard. How far that was just yet he wasn't sure- her energy? Starseed? To breaking? Her life?
If she issued the challenge again, he would have to make up his mind rather fast on that.

Warnings? That was a neon sign glowing brightly that this was definitely the sort of guy she needed to challenge. She would defeat him and she'd be one step closer towards her own goals.
Her lips spread into a large smile before she fluidly took on a stance, crouched down with her wrapped hands opened and flat.
"...that's not the question I asked... you are answering why I shouldn't fight."
She turned her head to one side, then the other, as if trying to crack something in her neck. With a subtle roll of her shoulders, she added "I asked if you wanna fight... I know I wanna... but the question is if you wanna..."
Her stance was determined, as if she was prepared to kick him in the face until he decided to take her challenge seriously.

She had been presented opportunity to back away, and chose a rather cheeky response in the negative. It will be a sad loss for someone. It would have been better or maybe worse if I were a general. "You are very brave. It will be a loss." Titan gave a nod to her, not drawing his 'hammer' such as it was. She was bare knuckle, it was of more respect in this case to meet her just the same. The lieutenant lifted his hands, but kept them only loosely fisted- more like bear claws than fists. Then put his speed to a backhand cuff.

Though this large man declared it would be a loss, the girl did not seem deterred still. She had that smile still upon her face, though it wouldn't last her very long.
This man was so large, so logically he should have been a bit slower on his movements. Her far more lean figure should have assisted in her ability to bring down Goliath.
So it was a surprise when his hand had already collided with her smug face.
She was knocked back quite a distance, though Jun simply attributed that to the fact she was caught off guard. Gathering herself up again, she ran her wrapped hands against her face, blood smearing on the material. It was probably a bloody nose if she had to guess.
"...you get that one for free..." she commented as she took up her stance again. She couldn't afford to ponder over her own actions too long.
With that, the girl rushed in, jumping up for a simple kick towards the man's large chest.

He had not been in any fights with civilians, or as a civilian, in a long time- and almost never before that. It was a strange experience, watching the speed chaos afforded his limbs take the blow beyond her defense before she even had it readied. It brought a new light of consideration to the brief blows traded with Obsidian now years ago. The man had been a general even then. There was still a chance that a civilian could be dangerous, but the power of the Negaverse was laid all the more bare to him. How much speed and strength he pulled, that he did not just break my neck at a thought.
I never understood much the difference. I can't unsee it now. He watched her approach- it looked like she had a lot of practice and good form in whatever she was using. He didn't dodge the kick, feeling the impact without giving a noise of recognition to it. It turned his shoulders, but he didn't step back- didn't need to. She didn't have enough force to push him back, even if he was going to wear a bruise tomorrow.
"There is no free in battle. " Titan closed his fist this time, aiming a blow at her body. Stunning her diaphragm or breaking ribs would make her easier to pick up- less squirrely.

It had been a direct hit, which would have usually gotten a confident grin growing wider upon the girl's face. However, her features twitched as the man hadn't even budged from his place. It didn't even look as if he had felt anything.
Was the man made of stone, a Golem amongst people? Her foot even protested to the attack she had unleashed.
Before she had even landed back to the ground from her hit, he had already swung another meaty fist at her.
Though her body really didn't get a chance to react, this time she managed to shout out "KYAAAAAAAAAAA" as the offending hand impacted against her body. Her body went flying back again, further than she had gone the first time. However, this time she didn't go down all the way, instead somehow landing in a nearly crouched manner.
She panted out slightly as she held herself in her current position. She already had figured this would be a difficult fight, but so far it was looking like it would be a loss. It shouldn't have been this drastic a difference.
Hooking her hands to her sides, she took in one more sharp breath before rushing the blonde again. He was fast and he was practically unmovable, but now it wasn't about winning the fight.
It was about causing some sort of damage.
She tried to keep low, seeing as the man was so tall, and only once she was close enough, she attempted to hook the back of his leg with her foot. He needed to fall.

He was impressed that she just kept coming- didn't let fear get the better of her. Or did she feel fear at all? She might not actually have faced death before, to understand it. She was young. She looked like she should still be in school.
He remembered how so many of the students at Hillworth seemed to think they were immortal or invincible. Death just wasn't real, somehow, in a city full of it. It was making her very impressive for boldness, but not for being able to make use of the 'wisdom' that some people could draw from it. People probably not himself. Even if he wished he could, tried to, wanted to.
He didn't lock his knee joint as instinct wanted, as he would have done before a year of battle practices. It woudl have damned him to falling if he had. He balanced his weight to the other leg, letting her shift provide the initial momentum to what converted into a front snap kick.
"You are still just playing."

In an ideal world, the girl would have been able to use her hand forming a momentary hook with the fingers to redirect the movement of the kick. In all honesty, had the situation been a bit less challenging, she was prepared to do just that.
However, even being prepared, the tree trunks the man probably called "legs" snapped at her shoulder, knocking her to the ground. Remaining on the ground was simply a death sentence at this point, and rather than linger, she rolled to the side and pushed herself back up.
"I.... don't... play......" she said in a paced tone. He had training, it was clear to her now. Most meat-sacks she had met in the past weren't as well versed upon the art of fighting, usually preferring just to build themselves up to put on display. A complete waste of good muscle.
She drew her hand in, almost as if she was getting ready to wipe her face, but instead she bolted forward, her foot stomping fiercely to the ground before she lunged in for a punch a bit lower than her one successful kick had been.
"...I... fight.... for.... keeps..."

Titanlåvenite turned as the fist came, taking the broad target of his torso and narrowing it drastically- letting her and momentum pass by him. It was the opening he wanted, wrapping his arms around from the side. Straightening, squeezing the full might of arms that, powered, could bench press eight hundred pounds around her biceps, chest and ribs.
"You don't understand keeps. You will break." It was only a matter of seconds, really. He knew the outcome of bones under that sort of pressure. But there was no point in hesitating. She'd fought well, he owed her that much.
Goodbye, little one.

Why did everything seem to slow down?
Though this hulking man was definitely faster than she could handle and he had managed to snag her, everything seemed to slow down to a point where the girl could clearly see what was happening. She had not even come close to hitting him, and left herself open for what could only be called a "bear hug."
His words literally loomed over her head as his amazing arms began to squeeze upon her far smaller form. A part of her still couldn't help but be impressed with this man's strength, even now as her body struggled within his grasps. However, a part of her finally seemed to recognize the danger of the situation. Her body practically was creaking under the pressure, her frame beginning to ache as she was firmly held in place.
His statement loomed over her as a threat, and Jun didn't take kindly to threats, no matter how true they were.
"...I.... won't break..."

Grass tasted freshest when ingested on a crisp night, just before dew settled in to greet the dawn. Faust chewed voraciously, jaws sliding together with a soft hiss of breath while incisors cleaved through the blades. It settled his stomach much as seltzers offered relief to indigestion.
His chosen patch of grass stood not far from a tree he peed on, both marking his presence as well as the resting area of a youma dusted some time ago by the work of a team. Sometimes he found it relaxing to simply wander out there and roll around in a dirt patch until his blacks turned to browns, and then retreat home to sleep on Quenton's pillow where the rest of the detritus dislodged from his fur. These amounted to short portions of time he awarded himself to keep his mind sharp for the good fight, and ultimately they paid off.
Even if it was a little silly to watch a gargantuan black feline retching in the middle of the park.
When he finished emptying his stomach of random woodsy offerings sampled in his travels, Faust started back in the direction of Quenton's apartment for a long-awaited nap. As he trotted, long fur bouncing in waves, he caught sense of a fight not far from his location - and a Negaverse aura to boot. Already wary, Faust stalked low to the ground with the intent of using his coloring to obscure his movements. And once he sighted the scene, his hair bristled and he loosed a low growl.
Not far from his location, a massive Negaverse lieutenant bludgeoned and beat a girl one sixteenth his size. Faust bounded into action without hesitation, breaking out in a full sprint to land himself before the Wall of Man while he held the girl in a crushing grip. "You back yo big a** off that girl right now, fool!" He called while drawing energy into the brightly-glowing star on his head. In the moments following, a great burst of light erupted from his forehead, spilling out toward the black-clad lieutenant.

If want could be strength, you wouldn't It was a sad truth. But there was sudden motion and swearing? Titan looked around at first, then down just as light gathered, "A cat-"
And then he could feel himself falling straight back, his grip on the girl fallen away. A talking cat
A huge talking cat that had shot a laser from its head right at him. In the stun, he didn't catch himself at all, laid out his full height and staring at the sky for a few breaths until registration of all his limbs came back online. Everything felt, too much and too little, and all energy like touching a live 220 current from a wall socket.
