 Another warm day found the large male wandering about ever on his hunt for herbs. Being a medicine lion wasn't an easy choice in life, it might be better to belong in a pride but at the moment he had no intention of joining one, not with his past still fresh in his mind...a failure...
Head low and possibly looking a threat he once again wanders into territory of another pride without realizing it, or not minding at least. Nobody had given him trouble on this being the tender hearted male he was. There it was, golden hues zeroing in on a patch of rosemary by a stream. He needed that for a salve! Running a bit now his tail swishes, a grin plastered on his maw that could be seen as a bared fang snarl.

It wasn't Bomvu's job to protect the pride. He knew it, but that didn't mean he wouldn't if he needed to. He had just been on his way to do some hunting when he spotted what looked like a male up to no good. In his old home, if a lion came sniffing around where he didn't belong, he was asking to be killed. That was the way of his childhood. And some of those lessons still stuck with him. Without a second thought, Bomvu charged at the seedy-looking male, letting out a roared as he sprang suddenly towards the other. "What are you doing here, intruder?!" He slashed a paw forward, claws extended and looking to connect with fur.

Just a few feet away from the herbs Hia finds himself yelled at, looking over just in time to feel claws dig into his cheek over his eye. Yowling in pain he backpedals then shakes his head as if trying to shake the pain off, blood trickling to the dirt and grass beneath him. "Gah!!" Right eye shut he looks toward the other male warily, fur bristling.
"I only came here...to collect a few herbs. I did not...know this was a pride's land or I would not have tried to. I had not seen that kind in a very long time so I ran for it. I am a medicine lion..." Gritting his fangs he hisses and cringes, rubbing a big paw to his wound now on guard should he be attacked again. Not meant for fighting he could still hold his own despite not wanting to. The pain though reminds him he can't always be peaceful. A rude awakening.

Bomvu was too busy growling to really listen to him, especially since he had it in his head he was defending his pride. He snarled again and charged at the smaller male, ramming him with his head to try and knock him off his feet before attempting to pin him to the ground. He had his fangs and claws ready- he would end this lion if he needed to. “If you think I’m going to believe you just because you say so, then you’ve got a heck of a lot of nerve and not a lot of brains!” He hissed sharply, tail swishing around behind him in his rage.

Hiamovi finds his thoughts interupted by the other male ramming into his side, sending him over to his back with a loud grunt and huff. Pinned beneath his larger frame the medicine lion shuts his eyes tightly, face still bleeding. "I have no reason to lie! Look at the pouch on my leg...it holds herbs! A mixing bowl...I make salves and medicine! I am no threat to you!"
Growing frantic he tucks his head down to keep from giving the other male a chance at his throat, chest heaving as his heart pounds rapidly in his broad chest. "I will leave! Get off of me!"

Bomvu growled again at the lion, but did as he said, looking at the pouch and giving it a sniff. He frowned, using a claw to open it and peek at the herbs and such inside. So... it seemed like it was true. Or a very good cover. But probably just true. "Fine," he huffed, the rage suddenly gone from his voice as he got off the other lion and say himself down nearby, "so you're not here to attack, but you shouldn't wander in other people's homes- it's not a very safe thing to do." He watched the other carefully, his large frame still tense and ready to spring back into action if needed.

Cajanic Sorry for delay...Still moving into my new apartment.
A quick shake of his head is all he ends up doing, his heart rate finally returning to normal. Without looking at the other bigger male he heads off a ways then sits down, shoulders slumped big head bowed the look of defeat clear.

The large lion watched him, tilting his head slightly to one side. He felt a little guilty. This wasn't supposed to be how he acted in his new home- he was supposed to be a different lion. The male sighed to himself, watching the way the other male left in a hurry. He picked himself up and followed after the man, though he didn't let himself get too close. He wasn't going to make a conversation out of this- he had work to do. He just wanted to say it quickly and be on his way. "I apologize," grumbled, "I came from a very violent place, and some of that will stay in me for a long time. I did not mean to let my past get the better of me, or to take it out on you. I hope your wounds heal." He frowned and turned to walk away, though he didn't feel like he had done enough to make up for his slight mistake.

Hearing the sound of someone padding over the smaller male looks ready to bolt, the blood dried as his wound slowly stops bleeding. When he hears the kinder words though he breathes out a deep sigh. "I have learned a lesson this day...One I will not soon forget. I must be sure...I never trespass in a pride's territory."
Staying in his sitting position he forces a smile despite the pain on his face. "You...did as you knew, it is natural even if you are trying to change. I imagine you did so to protect your loved ones...For that you have my respect. I apologize for intruding and I will not make such a mistake again." Bowing his head he waits in case the other wishes to speak, otherwise ready to part ways.

Bomvu frowned, feeling a bit more guilt hearing that the other understood. Perhaps it also came from his former home. He didn't expect lions to be nice about getting attacked. He thought he would have tried to kill him in return, or at least vow for revenge. Instead, he said he respected him. The guilt would be sitting in the pit of his stomach for quite some time. "Take care on your travels," he sighed, "try not to judge all prides on my actions, or even this one. This pride is normally very welcoming. It is just me who takes poorly to strangers.' He pouted a little and walked away, feeling too embarrassed and sorry to stay there any longer. He was such a jerk!
