It was the way of the sith to find someone, use them and go on with their lives. None of the sith ever felt guilty about using someone. But she wasn't a real sith was she? She made her way toward Eiyani's den, walking slowly and silently.

When she reached the entrance she stopped and debated if she wanted to go in. She considered Eiyani her one friend in the pride. The cheetah protected her from the others, despite the fact that Daiyu was sure she annoyed the hell out of Eiyani. Eiyani said it was only because she was a fellow cheetah like her.

This was a small trouble, Daiyu thought as she paced outside of Eiyani's den. She wondered if it was worth the bother. However her thoughts were cut short as she heard a cough coming from the den. Startled, Daiyu looked at the den. Eiyani stood their with a bored expression. In all the time Daiyu had know Eiyani she had never seen her with a different expression.

Even during training, she seemed bored.

“Is there something I can help you with Daiyu?” She said calmly and smoothly.

Eiyani had seen Daiyu approach the den earlier, but she stayed in the shadows. She didn't particularly enjoy hearing about others troubles. All her troubles were gone when she joined the pride. However Daiyu always seemed to have enough problems for the both of them. From Majanga not returning her feelings to the whole pride hating her. She was always worried about fitting in and it was such a hassle for Eiyani.

At first Eiyani couldn't help but protect the younger cheetah. The pride was filled with vicious sith who could kill Daiyu with a blink of an eye. They wouldn't need any cause, just wanting to get rid of her was good enough.

Despite her not wanting to interfere with others in the pride, Eiyani decided to keep the cheetah safe. It was really her only connection to the cheetah she once was. Daiyu reminded her a lot of her younger self. Blissful, loving and caring. She knew that Daiyu couldn't continue down that path for too long. Lord Majanga would grow tire of her eventually, and she would be forced to leave the pride or become like them.

Either way, Daiyu was going to have a rough life ahead of her.

Daiyu's ears folded back. She could never tell what Eiyani was thinking. “Sorry to bother you. It's just. I just got back from a mission. I- I don't know yet if I was successful. But I feel bad.” The mission was to get herself pregnant by a cheetah in order to bring new life to the pride.

Lord Majanga wasn't fond of hybrids, hence the reason she couldn't provide him cubs. The mission had been a struggle. She had the luck of being saved by the perfect cheetah. And yet she felt so guilty over it.

“I found a cheetah. We spent the night together.” She explained the best she could. “In the morning I left him without saying good bye.”

She paused. “I've never done something like that every. To use someone and then just leave them in a cold dark cave?” Her eyes started to water.

Eiyani wasn't sure how to react. Why would Majanga order her to sleep with a rogue cheetah? She thought. It was one thing to bring new life to the pride it was another to have Daiyu do it. The cheetah lacked any strengths the rest of them had. Any cub she produced would be as weak as her.

And now waterworks. Wonderful. “Daiyu it is okay to use others for your own personal gain. Everyone does it. When I was in a different pride, I fell in love with a cheetah who said he loved me back. However when a better cheetah asked for his paw, he jumped at the chance and took her as a mate instead. He used me until he could get something better.”

Though all did not end well for him or his mate. They were found dead and the blood was all on her paws. She almost grinned at the thought, but controlled herself.

Everyone used others, Daiyu thought. She wasn't like anyone else though. The pride members were cold and calculating. She would never be like that. If Majanga asked her to do something, she would do it in a heart beat, with the best of her abilities. However there were something about herself she couldn't not change, even if it was to please Majanga. She could not become the sith he wanted her to be.

This thought made her eyes water even more. “Eiyani, what should I do. I just want to make Lord Majanga happy. I want him to love me but all I seem to do is fail him.” Dramatically, she flopped herself onto the hard ground.

“If I had cheetah cubs, I thought maybe Lord Majanga would see that I would do anything for him. What if, even after I used that cheetah, Majanga still doesn't love me.” She couldn't think of anything more painful then that. More then anything she wanted him to love the cubs she gave him, treat them like they were his own and be so happy that she was able to give him them.

Maybe he sent her on that mission just as a distraction, Eiyani thought. It wasn't a secret that Lord Majanga hated having Daiyu around. He would send her on ridiculous missions all the time just to get her out of his hair. Maybe he thought, with proper training the cubs could be potential sith. Whatever his motive, it seemed like it would be troublesome for her. If Daiyu ended up having cubs, she expected that she would play 'auntie'.

“In this pride, Lord Majanga's word is law. Everyone must obey it.” Eiyani started, choosing her words carefully. “However you should do what he says and expect that he will eventually fall in love with you. That's not how he works. If he hasn't returned your feelings by now, I doubt he'll ever show any true interest in you.”

The words that came from her mouth were harsh, she knew that. But it was something Daiyu needed to hear. Even if she obeyed ever order he ever gave her, she doubted that Majanga would ever see her as anything more then a stepping stone.

Eiyani's words rang true. “He may never love me. He's probably fancies strong lioness who can provide him fertile heirs.” She said, still lying on the ground. Her eyes looked up at Eiyani and she smiled. “I want to be of use to him. Even if he never returns my feelings. I can't just give up like that. Even if I am facing the impossible.”

She got up and brushed the dirt off her. “Thank you for listening and helping me Eiyani. I am truly blessed to have someone like you to listen to me. If you ever need to talk I'm all ears.” She said, her eyes still watery.

Eiyani nodded her head. 'She'll be find for now.' she thought as she watched the cheetah walk off. Daiyu did have one thing that the rest of the pride should admire and that was her determination.
