She didn't go out nightly, or even once a week, to patrol and fulfill these knightly duties she'd been handed. It wasn't that she resented it, she didn't, but it was that she didn't appreciate these duties and these new responsibilities; she had enough of those already. She had work, college, and handing everything which came with living on your own. The other reason was that she still disliked being involve din this war, with everything it did to this city and those who lived here, despite that incident in the park - whatever that incident was all about.
Tonight however she'd decided on going out in her knightly uniform to patrol. She didn't know why, she had no particular reason, but having free time on her hands it seemed like just something to do to fill the time. That was why she'd powered up, once she'd left the safety of her apartment, and had taken to the roof tops as she made her way through the city.
Fingers ran through her bangs as she glanced about, pale purple eyes looking around, as if she could sense or see things beyond the senses she had gained when she'd powered up. She was a bit paranoid about someone sensing her before she could sense them and run, she didn't want to be caught unaware by someone from the other side. Maybe powering up tonight had been a mistake? Fiddling with the object in her hand, a little scepter, pale eyes darted about as she stood on the roof top silently. Shifting her weight she didn't otherwise budge; worried about what she didn't sense.(Hope this is good for you.)

Newgrange was very time conscious this evening; he was trying to get on a better schedule and figure out just what was good in terms of patrolling. He knew neither how often nor how long he needed to be patrolling, but for now he was doing all he could. Even if he was supposed to have an early day at work tomorrow, he was going to at least try to spare an hour or so tonight.
He wasn't really looking for trouble, or a fight, but there were some nights when all he could think about was a youma hurting someone—a youma maybe he could have protected them from.
Newgrange was patrolling for them—for the people who didn't really stand a chance against the creatures that lurked in the darkness.
He wasn't sure if he should be happy or upset that he hadn't found any yet—until an energy signature popped up on his radar.
A page?
It seemed like someone had beaten him to the area—maybe that's why there weren't any youma around here?
Newgrange didn't need to debate; considering how eager he was to meet more knights, he immediately set a course towards the energy signature. He hadn't thought to start on the rooftops; instead he had remained on the ground, moving quickly in an effort to remain unseen.
It didn't take more than a moment before he felt like he was right on top of the aura, but he still didn't see anything.
After a quick glance around, he started to wonder if the page didn't want to be found…
But that didn't stop him from calling out, "Hello?" anyway.

She didn't think, or worry, about other people and youma much. She'd had too much on her plate and even now those thoughts didn't fill her mind, maybe flitted through every so often, but otherwise were non-existent. She wasn't selfish, not by any means, but she simply tried to push that, this, life away for the most part. The few times she gave it a nod, that she embraced it, she was more concerned with her own survival than other peoples. Maybe one night, if she continued powering up, start thinking of others and taking this power and duty seriously.
For now though she was out, powered up, and scanning for whatever she could sense. She wasn't sure what she'd do if she encountered, or felt, anything but thus far there was nothing. When she finally felt something it reminded her of the other knights she'd met only it was weaker, like herself. Another page?
She didn't move, didn't want to make them chase her, as they seemed to be coming closer to her. As they came closer she wondered what this page would be like. It seemed she wouldn't have long to wait though as soon she heard the voice calling out. Moving across the roof top she looked down to the ground and called out in return. "Up here."(s**t but ok I hope.)

Newgrange seemed surprised that the voice came from above and quickly tilted his head back so he could see who he was speaking to. "Up there?" he asked, spotting her silhouette against the night sky. "What are you doing up there?"
He planted his hands on his hips as he looked at her; he couldn’t see much about her, much less identify who she was or to which planet she belonged, but it was a relief to just know that he wasn't crazy.
He felt a little bad that his heart was moving quicker; the idea of running into another page was excessively reassuring and he was more eager than he probably should have been. The nights that he ran into someone else—someone on his side—were always his favorite, even if that meant he wasn't cleaning youma up off the street.
There was just something undeniably reassuring when you found someone like you—someone who understood.
Or, at least, hopefully understood. He had more questions than he could remember, so every new ally he found meant he was one step closer to understanding what his purpose here was.

"Yes, up here." She stated, rolling her eyes even if he couldn't see it. "I'm up here for a better vantage point. It also seems like many travel this way." She stated."It's also easier to avoid civilians seeing me." Though she had, not all that long ago, walked home on the street powered up. When she'd done that though it had been later and with no one on the streets she'd been on. Here, in this area, there was a higher likelihood of someone walking out of a building and seeing her if she were on the sidewalk walking. She didn't care to be seen, to be called a terrorist and have cops or someone called on her.
"You should come up here, it's easier." She stated as she moved as close to the edge as she would dare. Her hair, long as it was, slipped over her shoulder and dangled at the side of her face.
"There should be a set of stairs on the buildings side. You can take that to get up here." She added as she moved away from the edge and went to the side of the building, the right and than the left, looking for stairs. It was the left side of the building where the stairs were. So the other page could come up and join her at roof top level - good.

Newgrange didn't have to mull over the thought much; whoever this page was, she at least seemed to know what she was talking about. "All right," he called in response to her. "I'll be up in a minute."
At least he didn't have to feel like he was intruding, right?
The set of stairs were easy enough to find and he ascended quickly. While not necessarily a fan of heights, Newgrange was not intimidated. Instead, he seemed impressed at the view of the city the rooftop seemed to offer and seemed briefly distracted as he looked across the horizon. "It's nice up here," he mused, though shook his head and made his way to the page. "Sorry for making you shout. I'm Newgrange, it's nice to meet you," he said, extending his hand in greeting. He'd always been taught that when you offered your name, if you wanted to make a good impression, you offered a handshake, too. No strong friendship was formed on weak wrists, and Newgrange wasn't looking for a fleeting friendship.

"It is nice." She said with a nod of her head. Long dark hair thankfully was tied back, it helped in keeping it out of her face, as the high ponytail of dark hair blew in the breeze. Little jingles heard from the decorations in her hair, she actually really did like them, if only she could get something similar to wear as a civilian. She was sure she could pull together a good outfit for such a hair piece.
"I don't mind shouting." Taking the offered hand she shook his gently. "Delphi, Page of Polaris." it seemed, from what she could remember, that symbols and colors identified where each page, Squire, or Knight was from. So she wondered if he knew where she was from before she'd said. She was looking over his own uniform and drawing her own conclusions on which planet he represented. Just how many planets were represented though? There were...an untold number of planets. That was something she knew nothing about and was curious about now that she got to thinking about it. Just how many options where there? Not that they were options, she didn't pick Polaris or to even be a knight.
The idea, the questions, were pushed aside for right now. She'd eventually find someone to ask, now that she had the questions in her mind. "it's a pleasure to meet you as well." A smile, though it didn't reach those pale purple eyes of hers, was given before she let his hand go.
"You've been well tonight?" She asked gently.

"Delphi?" he prompted, testing the name. "I'm glad to meet you. I've never met a page of Polaris. I didn't even know there could be, for Polaris. I've met…Mercury. And Earth. I mean, I'm Newgrange, of Earth."
Newgrange had met too few pages to have become aware of identifying marks, be they color, design or symbols. Most of his meetings had happened in the dark of night—not an ideal time for analyzing uniforms.
After a good handshake, he retracted his hands so he could plant them on his hips. "I think tonight's been good, so far. I was out looking for youma but didn't find any. So, I guess that's something to be positive about. What about you, have you been well tonight?"
It was difficult not to dump a chunk of questions on her, but Newgrange refrained for the time being. This wasn't a race to the answers—and as long as they both had time, he was going to make the best of it.

"I've met one from Earth before as well as Jupiter and Saturn. I haven't met any others before, or rather I mean from other planets. I don't know just which planets can have a knight - I mean the possibilities are endless if all that's needed is they be a knight of another planet." Since weren't all stars planets really? I mean they said Polaris was a star but it was also a planet. So then the possibilities were endless and ever changing as stars, planets, died and new ones were formed. What would happen to a knight if the planet they were form was destroyed via black hole or some other means? Again questions were entering her head, all kinds of questions.
"I was out just to be out in uniform - no plans." She hadn't been out hunting down anything, in fact she wouldn't mind not ever seeing a youma really. "Seeing as I've not run into any youma or members of the Negaverse I'd say tonights been well." Very good in fact, she had met someone else. Although she really wasn't much of a people person, still, she didn't mind meeting other people involve din this war. She needed to meet others like herself and form some bonds. She couldn't do this alone and she knew she had to power up once in awhile, like tonight. After that whole incident in the park she knew as much; that she had to do something even if she didn't like it.
"Shall we walk and talk?" She asked after a moment of silence.

Newgrange nodded, eyes lighting up when Delphi mentioned she had met knights from other planets. Slowly, things were starting to come together, though he knew he still had a long way to go before he had any confidence in his knowledge or position in this war. "Yeah, that sounds good to me."
All the ideas running through his head was filling him with a little extra energy, and he certainly didn't mind moving while they conversed. He gestured for her to lead the way. "I guess it's a good night if people aren't out keeping trouble. I should be happier when I don't run into anything, but I figure that just means that they must be up to something worse. Though, I have to admit…"
He sighed, entirely reluctant to be so candid on the subject, "I haven't met a Negaverse Agent. Ever. Maybe I'm just really bad at this—I've been doing it for a few months, but…I've run into," he racked his brain for a second, trying to remember everyone. "Dark Mirror Senshi, one of them. But she didn't seem so bad—and a youma was attacking her. I…I mean, I've heard of the Negaverse but. I don't know whether to count myself lucky or useless for not having any interaction with them. I've pretty much just been dealing with youma since I…got into this gig," he said, not quite sure how else he should be wording his introduction to the war.
