Set apart from the rest of the village, this building neighbors the storage shed. And for good reason, as it supplies many of the items stored there. The building is separated into two distinct sections. The front room, made of bamboo like the rest of the village buildings, holds a shop with displays holding the various weapons the blacksmith has forged and put out for sale. A counter blocks the back wall of the shop, and is where the smith or his assistants take payment for purchases made. A steel box under the counter holds the smith's income.

The back of the building however, is constructed from stone and clay. This section holds the smith's forge and equipment, where he creates the actual equipment for later sale. Entrances to the forge exist both in the beck of the shop, and an outdoor entrance. A shed on the side of the building holds a supply of excess coal for use in the forge.

[Entrance from Construction Site]
"Excuse me Forgemaster, could I trouble you for a moment?" Tomoki said, a smile crossing his face. He'd never actually bought something from the smith, but he'd carried several of the tools he made to the tool shed on occasion. Such was the life of a lowly academy student cursed with the strength of a chunin. Not that Tomoki cared much, it was actually really nice to be able to be counted on to be able to do certain tasks. Gave you a sense of security. "I want two hatchets." Tomoki said a smile crossing his face.

"Hatchets? I thought you could solve any problem with punches and kicks?" The Smith said laughing. He knew the boy carried a... less masterful knife than he could make, but the kid liked his knife. "So why hatchets? Because you can throw them, or because they're an Axe without the bulk of being an axe?" The man said looking at Tomoki. The Smith did take pride in his work, and wanted to know the reasons people wanted his pieces. Most people gave him simple answers, like to protect the village, and stuff like that, but he wanted specifics, like why would you choose a wakizashi over a kunai.

"Oh? Hmm... I guess it's because I want to be able to hold things in both hands while I'm using them to fight. Axes are just too big to do that with, you leave yourself open too often if you do that, and swords aren't top heavy enough to get a great swing with them, for maximum damage. But most of all... I need to chop down some Bamboo." Tomoki said laughing as he made it to the counter. "That's 20 silver a piece?" Tomoki said, sudden horror coming over his face. He looked toward the counter as he poured his money on the table, and then took 5 copper pieces for himself. "You're going to make me go hungry tonight..." He said, stifling a playful sniffle.

"Yeah, it's 20 silver for the one." The Smith said, a smile crossing his face as Tomoki started acting like a child. "Feh, you'll be able to catch your own dinner with these hatchets. I mean, aren't you supposed to be the strongest academy student?" The Smith said, walking over to where the Hatchets were and grabbing two of them for Tomoki. "Here you go, and thank you very much. Come on back if you ever need them repaired or something, though you'd have to sit there busting boulders with them to need a repair." He said turning back to what he was doing before Tomoki walked in.

"I'm only the physically strongest academy student, I can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu to save my life..." Tomoki said, letting out a sigh. He pocketed his 5 coppers and picked up his two hatchets realizing he didn't actually have anywhere to put them. "Great..." He muttered simply holding them in his hands. "I'll be back later probably, maybe. Depends on if I get another mission or not." He said, waving one of the hatchets in the air as he walked out the doorway.
