Kenta was heading back to his dorm from exploring the gym and seeing if there were any sports teams to join. He'd been a bit shy about approaching them, so he hadn't learned too much. But he'd seen that there were courts to play casketball on, one of his favorites! Tomorrow he'd try and join a game or something.. wandering about on his lonesome wasn't very fun...
As he entered the dorm, he caught a whiff of something interesting. Everything in here smelled dead.. but this scent had wolf to it! Well, wolf with some earth and pine mixed in... but still: wolf! Maybe it was another like him? He hoped so, and quickly followed his nose up the hallways and stairs till he got to a warm part of the building, to a room that had some pale fog wisps leaking from beneath the door.
He took a deep breath and hoped it was one like him, he could use advice. It had after all only been a year since he died. He knocked politely and shifted nervously as he waited for a response.

The light rap on her door had prompted Shehk’s ears to perk up suddenly, looking towards it before she picked up her phone to see if perhaps she’d somehow forgotten she had a date with her snowman and he’d come calling to see where she was. A quick glance through all her messages relieved her memory (not until tomorrow), but that also meant that whomever was at her door was not expected company.
This still wasn’t a problem, however, as Shehk got up from her desk to go answer the rapping on her chamber door (quote the Corrividus - Nevermore). Yet as she stood at the door, she couldn’t help but find herself leaning into it, sniffing. There was an unfamiliar scent through the wood. A stranger knocking at her door? At the same time she could recognize the scent.
Lupine and rot.
Curious, Shehk cracked the door open, luminous eyes visible even in the spill of fog that came billowing into the hallway now that it wasn’t being held inside. For a moment, she didn’t say anything. Instead, she stood with her hands on her hips, giving the boil who had come to her room a long curious look. Then slowly, the tip of her tail raised, beginning to wag almost hopefully.
“Hi.”
She was an awesome conversation starter.

Kenta opened and then closed his mouth. Okay.. wasn't what he was expecting. She was very much a wolf like him.. and also very much and undead too! Though much older than he was. Plus all white. Rather pretty. He gave a nervous grin.
"Ah... Hi... um.." Swallowing nervously, his tail flickered and curled about his legs.
"I ah... I smelled a scent like mine and kinda.. followed it... I haven't met anyone else like me.. us.. so.. yeah..." Okay, that was the lamest thing ever! He thought with embarrassment. As he twisted his hands together, wanting to just vanish. Why'd he knock on the door again?

Me. Us.
Shehk's ears were completely perked up at this point as she tried to decide what it was he was getting at. Or rather, she was wondering if what she thought he was implying was what she hoped he was.
"Were you....a werewolf...?" she asked almost quietly, but there was excitement in her voice, tangible and hopeful. "I mean, you're a Pricolici too, right?" While Kenta had never met someone like 'them', he'd been looking a lot less longer than she had been. Sure there was Elk (Oh, she'd have to do introductions), but...
This was someone her (kinda) age

Kenta's tail wagged ever so slightly and he calmed down a bit at the sound of her excitement. "Uh huh. Died about a year ago. So.. kinda .. new to this whole thing and... stuff. Just joined the school too." He sighed. He felt like a kid; he knew ( well his guardian, Loran, had found out or him) that he was 18 which meant almost an adult... but he still felt so young! Stupid dying and losing memories.... "Are there a lot of us?" He asked hopefully. Maybe there was a pack already! That would be nice....

Oh dear. She’d gotten his hopes up just a little bit. “Well, as far as I know, I’ve been dead for 16 years or so....and it doesn’t really change much. At least I don’t think it does since,” she scratched the staples underneath her ear, “I lost about three years of my recent memory not too long ago, so I can only assume that’s the case.” As for his actual bit of hopefulness - “Unfortunately, I’ve only met one other before you and from what I’ve been filled in of my memory from people I know, he actually started teaching here after I’d been attending for a few years.”
A whole three Pricolici. That was still a bigger start than she’d had originally given she’d started with a whole PARAGRAPH in a book to go off of for a racial identity of sorts.
“If you ever see a bright colored notice up about a class taught by Elekereth Orvos, he’s one of our kind too and much older than me.” Had he spent years looking for kin as she had and (from the way it seemed) Kenta had been inclined to do?
It was only after she’d spoken of Elk that Shehk’s manners kicked in - “Oh! Right,” suddenly extending a hand to shake she smiled. “I’m Shehk Iordanescu, by the way.”

Kenta sighed, so there were only 3? Well, at least there were some others! Not enough for a pack to replace what he'd lost, but he was certain he'd find one of those someday.... Not like I have to have other's like me to have a pack right? He thought to himself, I can find friends and... go from there... "Ah, I'm Kenta." he said with a smile. Well, half his face smiled, the other half had the eternal grin that all skulls had. "No last name that I know of. You said there was a Pricolici teacher here? I'll have to go see what class he teaches." His tail wagged slightly. Then, young pup that he was, he pointed at the stapes. "Why'd you staple yourself? Is it to keep the skin on?" He liked the bone showing frankly. Loran was a skeleton and Loran was his guardian... the bone was a sort of connection. But maybe a girl like herself felt having a full set of skin was better?

Shehk didn't actually remember being stapled. Her memory gapped when that had happened, but she had been stitched up for a reason- "To keep this half of my head on," she answered. "The other staples I have hold all my guts in so they're not everywhere too." As she explained this, she drew her fingers across her torso in mimic of an autopsy Y incision.
"But yeah, Professor Elk teaches Geography and Culture of Halloween." She explained. "Otherwise, he's the professor who wears the mask and the headdress....for whatever reason he finds to amuse himself, I guess."

demon_pachabel Sorry for the wait, school's at the last few weeks and it's killing me, Ah, so the staples were to keep her skin on and organs in. Girls! One did not need a whole face. Half a face was cooler! Course, I'm biased, he thought with an inner smile. "I'll make sure to go check his class out!" Okay, despite the nervousness of the first moments, it was a very good thing he'd followed the scent and knocked! He'd found at least two other people like him; which, while a small amount, was much better than none. Seemed one like to wear funny things too, that sounded interesting! But what to ask? His mind was blank, all those questions and things he wanted to know and he'd forgotten them! But he didn't want to leave yet... It was like he'd found a big sister... "Uhh.. you do anything for fun on campus?" So lame! But.. well. What the heck! New friend that was his race was not something to be sneezed at! I'll have to remember to write down my questions when I remember them, he thought to himself.
