A Kin has died here, perhaps this past winter. Its carcass has long since decayed to merely bones, and on a tree above its resting place someone has scrawled the symbol for a name, and a shape like a ripple in a still pool. Strangely, they have accompanied the marker with the symbol for a safe place. The bones seemed small -- tiny like a mere babe -- as she came upon a scene in a hunt to help Never Idle. She frowned, bowing her head, and whispering a prayer for the deceased. Then she left. Later, she came back, a group of flowers in her mouth that she laid down upon the bones. Another prayer and she went to resume her search.

There was a wrong turn in there somewhere or maybe more than one as she had ended back up here. She'd go right this time. Yes, right.

You hear the sound of wings startled up when you enter this clearing, but there is no bird to be seen--only a strange shift in the light, as though a thin cloud had passed over the sun although the sky is clear. Strange. She could have sworn she'd seen a shadow and with it felt a cool breeze. And yet there is nothing in the sky and nothing in this clearing. She blinks slowly, a little unsettled, and presses onward.

You locate a perfectly round, enormous boulder. It is exactly what Never Idle needs--but you're going to need help to uproot and move it. Help required. Success! Giveforward gives a cry of relief. Finally, something he had wanted. She prances around the boulder and then stills. There is no way she can move this; not alone. Thank the Motherfather she has a sister. She breaks into a run to find her sister.

The doe had been happily lazing in the shade, day dreaming up a herd of imaginary suitors vying for her attention. She was sure to give them just enough but never quite enough so as to satisfy them, when they all suddenly took flight? The sound of hooves woke her from her imaginings and she was on all fours in an instant, because MotherFather knew if it was some sort of ambush!
Takeback's muscles tensed in anticipation, waiting to see who it was making their way towards before deciding if she should charge forward or make a break for it. When it was the familiar face of her sister, Takeback relaxed, "What's gotten you in such a hurry, sister?" she asked, making use of the small amount of patience she was capable because it was her sister (and only for her sister).

It took Giveforward a moment to pause in her excitement. She would have launched into a cacophony of apologies and questions of her own but she was on a mission. She danced forward and pressed a kiss to her sister's cheek in apology. "I'm helping Never Idle gather things and I found the perfect boulder. It's much too large for me to move myself. Would you mind helping me?" she grinned widely. She was helping someone and nothing made her happier.

Takeback simply gave a deep sigh. She couldn't be bothered to help some strange kin, even if they were a Legendary but this was her sister asking and by default she would. Finding out it was a boulder of all things did not improve the doe's mood.
"Of course, anything for you," she nodded before accompanying Giveforward towards the boulder. It really was too big to move alone and she grunted with the effort as both of them got the large stone to where it needed to be. "Never Idle need anything else?" she asked, less out of a genuine desire to help the other kin and more to make sure she could go back to daydreaming undisturbed.

Giveforward pressed her nose to her sister's cheek, "No, no, go rest. I'll search for the little things." And she would. Not that she would ignore anything else but her sister had already done so much. No need to press her into more. With a brilliant smile and a nod, she bounced off to find other objects that Never Idle wanted.

Long, winding ribbons of paper birch bark litter the ground, carefully peeled down by some unknown kin or animal. They weren't anything he asked for, but they sure are pretty... It was with slow and careful movements that she decided to gather the bark. Perhaps after she'd found more items for the Legendary's building project, he might be inclined to use these for something else.

You hear Never Idle chiding you in a strangely metallic voice: "Work faster! Work faster!" But then you realize it's only a mocking-raven, who must have grown up near the stag's place of business. Wide green eyes look about the stag, even as her lips pull down. She is working fast. As fast as one can work on a scavenger hunt of finding certain items scattered around the swamp. The startle fades from her eyes as she feels her body tense in irritation. How inconsiderate and rude of -- oh. She turns her gaze to the raven with a stern glare, "Is he really that ingracious?" It only continues it's chiding and she walks off, a tension along her spine that shows the steel and storm within.

You become entangled almost hopelessly in a patch of bramble. Either you free yourself, or someone else does. Try again tomorrow. A storm that -- she yelps as the bramble cuts past her fur and into her flesh. It takes her, well it seems like forever, to untangle herself from the mess. Red and purple stain her fur, blood and berries mingling to turn her into a canvas. She winces, but does not cry, as she ambles in slow jilted movements away from the patch. She should've been paying more attention.

You find an injured mouse. You can either retrieve it as a snack for Never Idle and his cranes (Success!) or you can rescue it. She wants to save the mouse and yet the more she looks at it, the more she thinks it would be far kinder not to. She places her muzzle close to the injured creature and talks to it in a soft voice. And when it no longer breathes, she takes it back to be used. Sad as it may be.

You thought you found the perfect branch--but it snaps cleanly in two when you try to move it. Argh! She wilts a little as the branch breaks and lets out a sigh as the pieces fall to the ground. Nothing left to do but keep looking.

A wonderfully lovely conch shell is nestled in the grass. It is strange to see this so far inland... Oh, how beautiful. She nestles down to examine the shell and inadvertently blows into it causing a loud noise to spring out from the opposite end. Wide-eyed and startled, she pulls her head back and then begins to giggle. She has to take this to her sister.

You locate an especially attractive white plume, of unknown source. She takes the plume in her mouth, after her side quest to take the conch shell to her sister, and continues on her way in hopes of finding something Never Idle actually wants.
