A long-dead Grandfather tree towers over this section of the swamp. In investigating the hollows of its enormous trunk, you find a patch of luminescent fungi. If you attempt to take it, it is too bitter to hold in your mouth, and causes a strange prickling pain where it touches you.He shuddered staring at the fungi the glowed. It made him feel uneasy and was not at all what he had set out to find. But might it be useful? With a shake of his head, he turned away. No. He wasn't going to risk it. He'd find something else. Something Never Idle wanted.

You follow the sound of buzzing to a likely-looking hive. You have options! Get a friend to help you devise a means of distraction or engineering to secure a chunk of wax unharmed. Friend required. Success! Perhaps he should have stayed with the fungi. Too late now. It would have been easier, he thought, if he could stop flinching. Every buzz reminded him of a certain fire -- an aptly named fired -- that he wasn't inclined to ever meet again. But maybe... Well if she flayed him alive he wouldn't have to worry about the hive at all. He gave a nod. All right. He could do this.

Bad days accounted for most of the deaths Doom was reasonably responsible for. The rest was fated; she threw threw the skipping stone into the pond without a care of where it landed. As such, she took her anger out on a noisy hive as she passed by. It was only after she alternated between attacking it with her own stinger or burning it that she saw Bitter Heartbeat after the hive dropped to the unappreciative ground. For the most part, the swarm was dead but a few still singed ones lingered. Well, let's hope the Crane favors this particular red buck Wolf Parade is smitten by with grace, luck and a lot of speed thought Doom as she continued on with her dark thoughts. The deserted hive lay forlornly on its side, oozing out honey.

He backed up in a comical frenzy as the hive began to sway and burn. It was only once he caught a brief glimpse of a giant wasp that he wondered if maybe he was -- the Motherfather, no, he shut down that train of thought. He go court a caiman if he could somehow mentally call to Legendaries.
The hive dropped and the gratitude that had formed on his tongue was squelched. She looked furious. It was with quick movements that he darted forward and sussed out a chunk of wax -- whole and pure -- before he turned tail and ran for his live. He'd have Lull in Sunlight or Wolf Parade thank her for him. He'd live longer than way!

The jellyfish are migrating: a beautiful, luminscent, floating cloud of jellyfish high in the sky above you distracts you momentarily from your task. The wax delivered he had set out again, holding his breath that the fiery mare hadn't followed him. With every step he began to relax. No wasps or fire; no pink or orange. He breathed. He traveled until the sky began to blot; sunlight shimmered like a haze. Upward, he found jellyfish and the beauty hypnotized him. If only he could float; serene and gentle...

A wonderfully lovely conch shell is nestled in the grass. It is strange to see this so far inland... Jellyfish behind, he continued onward until the mud of the swamp began to grow the fur of grass. It sprung up high and low, thin until it began to thicken. His hooves sunk into it; shoots pricking into his ankles. It was with his eyes forward that he tripped over the conch shell. It was big and flushed pink -- a blush -- as his eyes found the object. He looked around wondering why it was here. The sea was far, far away. And much as he would have liked to take it with him, it wasn't anything that Never Idle sought. He moved on.

A beautiful red bird has met an unfortunate end here. Success! Bright red feathers. He smiled in triumphed. With ease, he took the carcass's legs into his mouth and hefted it onto his back. He didn't want to risk damaging the feathers himself. He'd take it back whole -- or nearly whole as the case may be.

Oh no! Your digging has unearthed an incredibly angry stoat! Best to scram--and spend the rest of the day nursing your gnawed-on ankles. Try again tomorrow. He'd gotten hopeful and cocky; a sore combination to be sure. After the wax and feathers, he'd found himself hungry and imagined that if he could find himself a snack, he'd find one last thing for Never Idle as well. Instead, his digging had found a spitting mad stoat. He didn't bother attempting to squash it with his hooves. No, he did was he'd been born knowing. He ran. Ran until he was sure he was safe and then he threw himself on the ground and sighed. Today was getting worse. Best to leave it until tomorrow, he thought. Yes, he'd try again tomorrow.

You find an ideal log. Unfortunately, rolling it free of the bracken it's trapped in and getting it back to the construction site will require some assistance! Help required. Success! A new day, a new obstacle. He surveyed the log for a long while, contemplating whether it was even possible to retrieved it. And just as he had himself nearly convinced that he should move on, he found himself heading towards the building site. Surely someone there would be able to help him move this log.

On his way back, he comes across a doe with a brittle smile. She follows him back to the log and then pauses, eyes clear and focused, but not quite friendly. When she speaks, her voice is soft and strained as if she is holding something in, something even she does not always understand. "Tell me what you need me to do and I will do it."

He stammers wordlessly, at first, unused to telling anyone what to do before he manages words the doe can hear. "We'll have to tear the bracken and then roll it free," and it sounds more like a question than an order. He tramples down by the far end of the log, scraping and stomping on the foliage that has grown up around. Every so often, he resorts to using his teeth to cut through pesky vines, but eventually he manages to free his end.

She ignores his stuttering, expression unchanging except for a softening of her eyes. She goes to work without speaking, hooves and teeth pulling the soft branches of the foliage away until the log is free.
She looks up and smiles, more for herself than for him and she considers him, perhaps waiting for him to speak, before offering, "I can help you bring the log back."

"Yes, that would be best," he replies and begins to push the log forward. It will take them time to be sure but eventually they shall reach Never Idle's building site.

When they reach Never Idle's building site, it seems as if she wants to say something but she ends up opting for the silence that they had worked in. She tilts her head, considering him carefully before leaving. The last thing she does before she disappears from view is live up to her name, giving him one last farewell smile.anemosagkelos Sorry about the wait! Bitter Heartbeat returns the doe's smile and then wanders off. He's retrieved three items from the list and finds himself exhausted. It's time for a nap. Amorpheous No worries! Thank you for the help, Morphy!
