Emachiel, like most angels, has shown little real emotion throughout the eons that he has existed, and after becoming human, the short time in which he felt emotions prior to retrieving his grace affected him greatly and continues to do so, even if he doesn't show it. He has a distaste for most humans due to their civilization's harming of the Earth, but does recognize when they do try to clean up their messes and protect the environment.
Out of all his brothers and sisters, Emachiel has only shown extreme emotion regarding two of them-- towards his sister Lailah he is incredibly protective, and she was the only member of his family he has actively searched for since coming to Earth. The other is Metatron, whom Emachiel makes no attempt to hide his disdain for, thinking of Metatron as a cowardly usurper of God's throne.
He also has a rather amicable relationship with his vessel, Christopher. He recognized that Christopher was a devout man, and after attaining Christopher's body, the man's consciousness has occasionally conversed with Emachiel, helping him to better blend in to human society. He has developed a taste for business suits, and has found himself intrigued by human culture on multiple occasions.

Emachiel was created as an angel of God, and was given the rank of Virtue, with the task of overseeing Earth's climate and weather and making sure that it ran smoothly. Emachiel served loyally in this capacity for millennia, and as humanity became more advanced and their civilization began to encroach on what he saw as a beautiful creation of God's, Emachiel grew bitter, and began to question why mortals were allowed to disrupt the order that he meticulously maintained.
However, once Metatron cast all angels out of Heaven, Emachiel was sent down to the Earth that he loved, and found his true vessel by pure chance-- a recently-unemployed secretary named Christopher Andrews. Andrews was a devout man, and upon seeing Emachiel, he granted the angel permission to use his body as a vessel. Emachiel has recently recovered his grace and has slowly been acclimating himself with human society, with Christopher's consciousness helping him at times. Emachiel has recently turned his attention to Mystic Falls, looking to find his fellow angels in hopes of finding a way back into Heaven.
